General Hospital Recap August 28: Ava Drugs Jack as Laura and Sonny Thwart Drew

On the Friday, August 28, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Ava did Drew's dirty work, Willow produced the waterworks, Nina made a fool of herself, and Curtis adjusted to jail. And Jordan faced a tough truth.

Watch Out for Drew

Marty and Drew sat down at the Metro Court Gardens so Marty could give Drew a thumb drive that would wipe files off Jack's computer. Drew explained why he needed the thumb drive, as well as what he planned to do next, which was target Sonny. Marty thought that was useless and dumb for someone who just got a second chance at life.

Drew explained that he did a lot of thinking about who he wanted to hurt when he was in a wheelchair. It hit him that everyone he wanted revenge on was linked to Sonny, so Sonny it is. "By taking care of him, it goes a long way to taking care of everyone else," Drew asserted.

Nina and Ava met up at the pool. Nina asked about Ava's newfound camaraderie with Drew. "Let's just say necessity makes for strange bedfellows," Ava said. She assured Nina that he wasn't an actual "bed" fellow, but she needed his help to deal with Sonny and Avery.

Nina was surprised Sonny was acting as Ava had described. Ava also noted that Avery was well aware of what her father thought of her mother. "Sonny is constantly attacking me. I am allying with Drew because sooner or later, Sonny's going to come for us both," Ava said.

Nina tried to warn her friend not to get any more involved with Drew, but Ava didn't want to hear it. "He's the most selfish person that I know," Nina argued. "You could be setting yourself up to a whole new set of problems."

Deception Business

A suit-clad Michael approached Serena while she sunned herself at the pool. He had not realized this was a casual business meeting. They sat down to talk Deception. Serena had the idea to revamp all products and turn Deception into a clean beauty brand. "In order to keep pace in this competitive market, Deception has to step up in a big way," she asserted.

Michael asked why she had gone to him and not the Deception ladies. Serena said it was because he was the button-down "stick in the mud." Michael took exception to being called there, so Serena challenged him to show her that he could be laid back. Michael did just that and removed his shirt so he could look like Chase.

Nina approached Michael and accused him of cavorting with "yet another hooker." Nina put her foot in her mouth a few more times until Serena introduced herself. She tried to win Nina over by praising Crimson's articles on female empowerment, but it didn't work.

Stopping Drew

Laura and Sonny met up at the actual Metro Court restaurant and not the Gardens. Sonny wanted Laura to know that Justine was at his house. She hoped that it wasn't a conflict of interest for her. "Well, I hope it's the same for you now that I am truly a real coffee importer," Sonny said, surprising Laura.

Laura couldn't believe that after all these years, Sonny had gone legit. "Can you do that safely, Sonny?" Sonny said that he could and he could also thank Sidwell for that. Since he was in prison, nobody was making moves, so things were safer for Sonny to revamp his business.

When Sonny saw Drew and Ava take a table, he was immediately irked. Sonny knew that Drew was going to try to interfere with his quest to get his piers back for legit business. "I don't like the idea of you going to war with Drew, but I guess this time you'd be doing it legally," Laura said.

Sonny surprised Laura some more when he said that he feared Drew would even go after Rocco. "Drew used Danny to get to Jason. Now, he's using Scout to get to Alexis. He'd do the same to Rocco," Sonny said. But he promised to keep the peace while Laura was over in Ireland.

At their table, Drew and Ava went over their plan. She would have drinks with Jack at 5 and Drew would sneak into Carly's office and shut down the MC security system so he could get into Jack's room and get those files. Drew even had an added layer to this plan. He handed Ava a pill to slip in Jack's drink.

Drew claimed it was just a sleeping pill, but Ava worried that Drew was setting her up. She said that Nina had talked sense into her. "You are trouble I don't need," Ava said, before trying to walk away. Drew stopped her and played the Avery card. Sonny could easily take Avery away with the mayor on his side.Ava reminded Drew that Laura was her friend. But Drew somehow managed to convince Ava to do what he wanted.

Ava then made her way back to the Gardens to meet Jack. She thought about Sonny calling her a cancer and knew what she had to do. She crushed the pill, met with Jack, and started improvising about Sidwell. When Jack walked off to take a call, she drugged his drink.

Back at the indoor restaurant, Laura and Sonny stopped Drew when he tried to leave for Carly's office. She wanted to make a plan to end the hostility between them.

Curtis in Jail

Anna and Jordan met at another table, where Anna informed Jordan that she'd checked on Curtis. Anna didn't understand how this all happened, since there was a very fair plea deal on the table. Jordan admitted that Curtis refused to take the deal.

Jordan said Curtis was sure that he could get the jury to believe that Isaiah was the other driver. Anna nicely explained to her that the evidence toward that was "very thin." Jordan gave Anna the bottom line: "Curtis wanted to blame Isaiah, but I think that's because he was so desperate not to blame me." Jordan seemed to blame herself for everything, but Anna told her not to.

At Pentonville, Curtis met with the warden, who prepared him for general prison population life. The warden worried that Curtis' status as former law enforcement and other inmates could cause a problem. Curtis assured the warden he could protect himself, which the warden didn't want.

The warden explained that if Curtis hurt another inmate, even while defending himself, he would not make parole. Curtis thought that was unfair, but the warden told him that's how prison was. He needed to steer clear of trouble. The warden was also putting him in a special section with added security.

When Curtis got to his cell, he was surprised to see how his new best bud was going to be in jail.

A Matter of Trust

In Carly's office, she and Valentin discussed Josslyn's new WSB/JJE situation. Carly couldn't imagine why this would be Josslyn's next assignment. Valentin thought that if the WSB was interested in the company, Josslyn would be the best person to install.

Before they could say much more, Jack walked in and confirmed their suspicions. Valentin asked Jack what the angle was. Jack said he didn't know because it was above his pay grade. Jack then gave instructions to Carly not to get involved in Josslyn's assignment in any way.

Jack then had to get some digs in about Carly and Valentin's relationship, claiming Valentin was only with her to hurt Jack. "You will always be runner-up to Anna," Jack spat. "You're an incredible woman, Carly, but Anna's going to always be who he goes running back to," Jack said before storming off.

Valentin turned to Carly and told her that Jack had only said that to hurt her. He apologized for calling Anna from her attic because it was too risky, but Carly admitted she would have done the same for Jason. "I would want someone to do whatever it took to help him," Carly said. "So, if you need to help Anna, then you do it."

Valentin was blown away and said, "Whatever I feel for Anna could never take away from what I feel for you." Carly said that at one time, she wouldn't have believed him, but now, she did. "I'm choosing to move forward and to trust you," she said. "And we're choosing to trust each other," Valentin concluded.

Weeping Willow

Inside the Q boathouse, Willow called out in frustration when she knocked over some games. Of course, Chase appeared immediately to make sure she was okay. Willow just claimed all of life's little worries were with her, so knocking over some toys was just the icing on the cake.

Chase, shirtless as always, offered to clean Willow's mess. Willow said it was no bother, so he suggested they clean together. Willow seemed hesitant and even more hesitant when Chase told her she could vent to him. Willow finally told him that she had expected people to stop accusing her of shooting Drew once she was acquitted.

"It turns out I was wrong. The allegation keeps following me," she cried, garnering Chase's pity as intended. Little Mary Sunshine told Chase that everyone was constantly looking at her with suspicion. "I always feel I am on the brink of losing my kids. And just when I think I'm gaining ground and my life is solid, something else happens," she said.

"Willow, did Michael make you move back?" a concerned Chase asked. "Michael made it clear that was what he wanted and Michael is very good at getting what he wants," Willow wept. Chase made Willow feel all better by telling her how amazing and incredible she was. In that moment, it appeared that Willow truly fell for Chase again.
