On the Monday, August 3, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Jason quit the mob in a very emotional way, Josslyn spoke out of turn, Anna panicked, and Brook Lynn told a big lie.

WSB Problems

Josslyn, just weeks after taking a bullet to the abdomen, was out running in a sports bra and shorts with no scar when she received a text from Trina wondering if she'd be joining them at Anna's place. Josslyn texted back that she had to work. As she continued to run, Josslyn felt pain and flashed back to the shootout on Spoon Island.

Nina arrived at Jack's office to take him up on his dinner offer, but he had to inform her that he couldn't make it because he was expecting an important call. Jack and Nina both agreed that they didn't have agendas with one another. Jack didn't want anything to go wrong with Nina after what had happened with Carly.

As they began to kiss, Josslyn walked in and just gave them the side eye. Nina was shocked to learn that Josslyn was a WSB agent. When Nina walked out, Josslyn gave her boss a lecture. "You're leaving yourself open to a huge vulnerability. Nina Reeves," she said.

Jack grew angry as Josslyn regaled tales of how horrible Nina had been to Sonny and her family. As Josslyn began to launch into the Nixon Falls saga, Jack shut her down.

A Big Surprise For Anna

At the Metro Court Gardens, Anna was shocked to see Carly and Valentin kissing at a table. Hallucination Peter appeared to remind her that Valentin couldn't help her. Anna tried to shove him away, but ended up knocking a waiter's tray over instead. The noise startled Carly and Valentin, who were surprised to see Anna staring at them.

Carly and Valentin invited a mortified Anna to join them. She noticed the champagne, so Valentin explained that his assets had been unfrozen and he was a rich man again. "You just got your freedom back and now you're throwing it all away. You fool," she said, confusing Carly and Valentin.

Anna knew that Valentin had to have extorted the WSB and that it was only a matter of time until they arrested him again because the WSB never lets anyone go. Carly piped up, telling Anna that Valentin is living proof that people can get out. She even believed that Josslyn would get out one day. "I think it's a little late for Josslyn," Anna said.

Anna explained that she had known Josslyn was WSB since last summer, which was why she had sent Jason to the Five Poppies to find her and Britt. "I tried every tactic I can think of to get Brennan to tell you, but he refused," she said. Anna also assured Carly she would have done what she could to talk Josslyn out of joining before it was too late.

Carly thanked Anna for her concern, but she was still sure that Josslyn would still wake up one day and know this wasn't the life for her. After Anna left, Carly was surprised at herself. "That was unexpected. I thought I was going to be furious, but Anna showed a compassion that noone has for Josslyn," she said. "Yeah, that's very Anna. But there's something else going on with her," Valentin said.

Valentin stood up when he spotted Nina. He thanked her for Jack being willing to deal with him for the black box. Valentin knew that there had to have been something in it for Nina. "If Jack is in a slightly better mood, it's because we've been spending some time together," Nina said, causing Carly to silently scoff. Valentin warned Nina that she would end up paying if she continued hanging around with Jack.

Retirement Plans

A perplexed Sonny asked Jason if Ric was the reason that Jason couldn't work for him anymore. Jason explained that this was about him, not Ric. Sonny offered to cut down on Jason's workload, but Jason was just done. "I just need to be out. For good," he said.

Jason had to be completely honest and told Sonny that the day the WSB took him away started with him on a roof with Cullum in his crosshairs. Sonny realized that Jason could have taken Cullum out that day, but he didn't. Jason explained that Jack was in the shot and he had to get to Danny's basketball game. He made it, but Dante showed up to arrest him.

Jason told Sonny about the other events from that night. "The game was about to start. The game that I promised to see and instead, my son sees me assault Dante, a guy who loves him and helped raise him. And then he gets to see me take off," Jason said.

Jason got to the part where he saw Rocco standing there with the gun. "He picked up Cullum's gun and shot a WSB agent in the back for me," Jason said. "In that moment, two thoughts came into my head. Rocco cannot take the fall for this and that could have been my son holding that gun."

Jason got to the part where Danny is pounding on the door of the WSB van. "And I'm thinking to myself, 'What have I done to my kid? His mom's dead and I'm going to prison if I'm lucky.' Something just breaks inside of me. So, I promise myself, 'I'm going to do better. I have to do better. I've failed my son too many times. And I can't do it again. I won't," he said.

Sonny remembered how they had spoken of retiring before. They could do it, but not so abruptly. Sonny would be willing to give Jason safer job duties. "I can't. I can't kill for you again. I gotta stop what I'm doing before Danny wants to follow in my footsteps," Jason said.

Sonny informed Jason it was too late. Danny had already come to Sonny looking to work for him, but Sonny had shut him down. Sonny understood that Jason was out, so he asked what came next. Jason had no idea, but he was going to continue living at the Quartermaines because it's different from how it was 30 years ago.

When he left all those years ago, Sonny took him in and became his friend and brother. Sonny gave Jason his blessing before Jason tearfully left.

Stalker Time

At the Surf Lodge, Brook Lynn met with Simon, where Simon told her that he has big plans for Trina and Gio. Brook Lynn explained that she sent Simon Trina's Nurses' Ball performance from 2025 because she felt Trina needed something good in her life.

At Anna's place, Gio, Emma, Trina, and Kai settled in for board game night. Trina knew they were just trying to keep her mind off of Curtis' trial. Emma asked if she was planning on going to the trial. Trina didn't want to stay away, but Curtis had said that he didn't want her there.

Just then, Gio got a call from Brook Lynn asking where she and Trina were. He had forgotten that they were supposed to be at the Surf Lodge. Kai left with Gio and Trina, but Emma stayed behind.

When Anna returned home, she told Emma about running into Valentin and Carly at the Metro Court and the talk they had about Josslyn. Anna was relieved when Emma said she couldn't imagine dedicating her life to that organization. After Emma left to get some popcorn so they could watch a movie, Peter reappeared to remind Anna that Valentin can't help her now. She'd have to kill Britt to protect Emma.

At the Surf Lodge, when Kai introduced himself as Trina's boyfriend, Simon said that was a problem. Simon took Brook Lynn aside and told her that he had assumed Gio and Trina were together. His record company had developed a whole marketing strategy around them being a couple. "Brook Lynn, just get them on board," Simon said before leaving.

Brook Lynn told Trina and Gio about the misunderstanding, but assured them that she'd figure a way out of this mess and they didn't have to fake a relationship. Then, the scene switched to a mysterious someone with a board of Trina photos and a laptop. A hand deleted Kai from a snap of him and Trina.

A Love Triangle

Ric wasn't pleased when he spied Elizabeth and Dante looking awfully friendly as he gave her batting tips after the softball game. He approached them with some fighting words: "If Dante's giving you pointers, I'm starting to see why law enforcement has been having such a losing streak."

Ric asked Elizabeth if she wanted to get a bite to eat now that the game was over. Liz said that she had an early shift in the morning and just wanted to head home. Ric said he had a lot of work to do for Sonny anyway, but wasn't going to get into details due to Dante being there.

When Ric left, Dante said he understood what Ric meant about conflicts of interest, something he experienced himself. Dante ended up confessing to Elizabeth that he was the one who got rid of the evidence in the Cullum shooting case.

Dante assured Elizabeth that she would not get in trouble for helping him. Liz said that she did it because she thought it was the right thing to do. Dante just felt uncomfortable now because he used his job for personal gain. Elizabeth assured a guilt-ridden Dante that he made the right call. Dante was grateful he had Elizabeth to talk to.

Soon, Ric noticed from afar that Dante and Elizabeth were still at the park together and looked less happy than he had earlier.

Was Jason right to quit the mob? Should Josslyn learn her place? Who do you think is stalking Trina? Sound off in the comments.
