General Hospital Recap August 6: Sonny Quits the Mob and Jacinda Drugs Willow

On the Thursday, August 6, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Sonny quit the mob. And Jason told Tracy that he quit the mob. Plus, Curti's trial got ugly, Willow made a bold move, but Jacinda made an even bolder one.

Sonny QUITS!!!

When Dante dropped by Sonny's place, he mentioned that Corinthos Coffee had Jason as their power hitter. Sonny informed Dante that Jason would not be playing for Corinthos Coffee this year.

Dante asked what Sonny was talking about, so Sonny told him that Jason had quit and why. Dante said he didn't blame Jason for wanting to make changes after what the WSB had put him through. Sonny elaborated, saying that Danny seeing law enforcement with his dad the night of the pier shooting put things in perspective for him.

"Jason is not the same man he was that night. Something inside of him broke," Sonny said. Dante made a fantastic point when he said, "Maybe it healed." However, Dante was worried. He had always felt confident that Jason would protect Sonny, but who would do it now? Well, Dante didn't have to worry because Sonny was done, too. And now Dante didn't have to worry about compromising himself anymore.

Jason Made Tracy's Decade

Tracy found Jason on the veranda outside the Q kitchen and asked him why he had summoned her. "What am I in for? Good, bad, or pack a bag and hide a body?" Tracy asked. Jason told Aunt Tracy that it depended on her point of view, as he had quit working for Sonny.

Tracy refused to get too excited as she reminded Jason that he had quit before and always went back. Jason said this time was different because it wasn't due to a fight or falling out. Jason had just decided to make a change. "I'm just done," he said, much to Tracy's surprise. "I'll be damned," was all she could manage.

Tracy was pleased as Jason told her that he was doing this for Danny. He no longer had Sam and he wanted Danny to have good role models. He thought he would get that by moving Danny into the Q house, but it wasn't enough. He needed his dad too. "So, what you're saying you want for Danny is what Alan and Monica wanted for you," Tracy said.

Jason admitted that he had been thinking about his parents a lot. "They longed for this day," Tracy said. Jason choked up as she said he wished he could tell them that he was sorry for all he put them through. "You had to get there in your own time and your own way. Just know if they were here, they would be so happy and so grateful," Tracy said.

Jason worried that he had already missed so much of Danny's life and he wondered if it was too late to have a proper relationship. Tracy knew from experience that it was never too late when it came to parents and children. "I changed. And so can you," Tracy assured.

Courtroom Drama

Curtis' trial continued with Marty asking Portia how long she was married to Curtis before she slept with Isaiah, with Curtis looking pretty smug. Molly objected, but the judge allowed the question. So, Portia objected instead because she didn't see how her personal life had any relevance.

"I'm here because I witnessed a crime. I'm not here to relitigate my marriage or my relationship," Portia said, but the judge made her answer the question anyway. Portia admitted that she and Curtis were married for three years, but she only started seeing Isaiah because her marriage was over.

When Molly cross-examined, Portia made it clear that Isaiah had not threatened Curtis or lashed out physically. She told the jury that Curtis was the one who threw the punch.

Drew took the stand next and surprised Molly when she did exactly what he told Curtis he would do. He blew Molly's case by telling the jury that Willow was home the night of Jordan's accident. Molly kept her cool and ended her questioning. So, Marty got to work instead and Drew explained that Joe had just misunderstood the blinking. And just like that, Curtis and Drew were best friends again. Enjoy it, Port Charles.

Isaiah took the stand next. He explained the extent of his hand injury and what it had cost him professionally. Isaiah wasn't even sure he'd be able to operate ever again. Molly objected when Marty asked if Isaiah drove the same type of car that drove Jordan and Curtis off the road. Molly reminded the jury that Jordan was responsible for her own accident. When Marty asked if Isaiah's statement was to provoke Curtis, he said no; he simply said something he thought was true.

Marty finally called Curtis to the stand, who gave the jury every reason he was certain that Isaiah was driving the car that Jordan nearly hit. Curtis was also outraged that Isaiah had the nerve to touch Portia's baby bump. Finally, Molly and Marty made their closing arguments.

When Jordan took the stand, she followed Marty's lead and implied that Isaiah must have visited her in the hospital out of guilt. Molly asked Jordan to put on her police commissioner hat and asked if she'd suspect someone just because they drive a route and a car that thousands of people drive every day.

A Big Time at Bobbie's

Outside Bobbie's, Jacinda met with Ezra, who gave her some pills that she had left at his place. She told him she was having a bad day and needed to take the edge off because Willow had taken out a restraining order against her seeing the kids. Ezra offered to be a support for Jacinda, but she wanted Ezra to stay away from her while she was "letting loose."

Lucy continued holding court at Bobbie's as Laura joined her this time. Laura was surprised that Lucy wanted to talk about Kevin. Lucy had wanted to throw a party for Serena with Kevin there, but Laura had to break the news that Kevin wasn't returning home until after the fall semester. However, he would send Ace back to live with Laura. After Lucy left, Laura was curious to see Ezra talking to Jacinda.

When Ezra walked in and sat down with Laura, she warned him against getting more involved with Jacinda. However, Ezra wasn't going to turn his back on her as he thought that she was in over her head with Michael and Willow. "They will throw her away without a second thought," he said.

Laura seemed to also be holding court in Lucy's place, as she welcomed Jack next. Jack wanted her office to work with the WSB, but she refused until she knew why the WSB had not taken Jenz Sidwell yet. Jack said that the charges were local and the WSB didn't want to interfere after the bad press from the Jason incident.

Jacinda Gets Busy

When Willow arrived at Nina's place with coffee, she wasn't sure if her mother was genuinely happy to see her. Willow explained that she had spoken with Jack and learned that Nina had called him after the breakfast in which they discussed reopening Drew's shooting case. Willow just saw this as her mother having a problem with the way she's been raising her kids.

Nina reminded Willow that the cops could find that she was the one who shot Drew. Willow didn't care because it wasn't like she could be tried again. Nina also reminded her nutjob daughter that Jack was the one who deleted the traffic cam footage, so she would be hurting Jack too when he was the one who saved her.

"If Jack doesn't want to risk his own neck, he should keep his head down," Willow said. Nina pointed out that Jack wasn't the one being reckless; Willow was. She also told Willow that she was acting overconfident since freeing herself from Drew. Willow claimed this was the strongest position she had ever been in to get her kids full time. Nina knew that Willow was up to something, so she asked what she had done.

So, Willow told her that she had taken out a restraining order against Jacinda. Nina was outraged. She knew this would cause more problems with Michael, but Willow didn't care. Willow doesn't seem to care about anything anymore. Just then, Jacinda arrived with Nina's dry cleaning.

When Jacinda was left alone in the living room for a bit, she snuck the pills Ezra had given her into a coffee labeled for Willow.

Pool Time

At the Metro Court pool, a mortified Serena stood up after falling into Jack's lap. They made each other's acquaintance while Serena got her flirt on. However, Jack had to deal with work so he left her alone to get her flirt on with Michael instead by settling onto his lounge.

When Michael emerged from the pool to grab his towel, Serena flat-out told him that she was there to ambush him. Serena introduced herself and Michael immediately knew she was Lucy's daughter. Serena was perfectly honest about how Lucy felt about the Qs owning most of Deception, but Michael assured her that he would be fair and not tow the party line.
