Felicia, James, and Georgie sat with a comatose Maxie in her Boston hospital room. Georgie painted her mom's nails, while James read her Valentine's Day cards. Georgie said that none of it mattered because her mom couldn't see the Valentine cards. James insisted that it wasn't true. Felicia assured them that Maxie knew they were there.

Georgie and Felicia stepped outside for some air, leaving James to talk to his mom alone. James filled Maxie in on his life, noting that he had only been to the ER once since she last saw him. "Madison, this girl from school, asked me to be her Valentine. But I told her no cause you're my Valentine and I love you the best," James said.

In the waiting area, Georgie began weeping, telling Felicia that she didn't mean to upset James. "But he keeps talking like Mom's going to answer him and all I want is for her to open her eyes," Georgie said.

When Georgie had her time alone with Maxie, she put her arms around her mom and told her how much she missed her. Finally, it was Felicia's time to talk to her daughter alone. A tearful Felicia talked to Maxie about the kids. "There's still this giant hole in our family where you're supposed to be. We're just waiting for you to come back to us, Maxie," Felicia cried.

Later, James begged to go ice skating before heading to the airport. The next words the family heard were, "James Malcolm West, you are not going skating without a helmet." They turned around and Maxie was standing there.

Lulu opened her door to Nathan and awkwardly invited him in. Nathan claimed he had gotten himself into a bit of a bind. Apparently, Nathan got himself roped into sending in Valentine's treats for James' class. After consulting with Lulu, she agreed to help, so they sat down with supplies to make treat bags.

"I am sure you would have come up with a solution on your own," Lulu said. Nathan was glad he didn't have to be on his own to find out. When their project was complete, Nathan wanted to know where their relationship stood.

Lulu admitted that Laura thought it would be fine if they dated. Nathan said that Nina felt the same, even though it was complicated due to Maxie and Dante. Soon, the pair ended up in a kiss.

In the Q mansion playroom, Chase sat with a mystery child while they had a tea party. Chase was also in uniform, dressed for his new role as a beat cop. Brook Lynn watched from the door with a smile. "You and Bailey Lou are certainly having fun together," Brook Lynn said, clueing us in to the fact that this was Maxie's child.

They remembered the time they pretended to be Bailey Lou's parents when Maxie hid the poor girl from her unhinged father. "Caring for her brought us closer. It's when we first started falling in love," Chase said.

Brook Lynn hesitated when Chase mentioned adopting the baby. She assured Chase she wanted to adopt, but not just yet. "Gio and I are still trying to get to know each other," she explained.

After Chase left, Gio appeared and revealed he knew Bailey Lou's favorite color and pizza topping. Brook Lynn was thrilled when he asked to hang out with them. While Bailey Lou colored, Gio told Brook Lynn that Emma had gone to San Francisco to tell her mom about Anna.

"I get that Emma needs to be there for her family during this crisis, but what if she decides to move back to San Francisco?" Gio asked, revealing his fears. With Anna being Emma's only family in Port Charles, he wondered if Emma would ever return.

Brook Lynn assured her son that this wasn't something he needed to worry about just yet. She believed Emma felt just as strongly about Gio as he felt about her. "Emma is smart. She knows to hang onto a good thing," Brook Lynn said.

Mother and son reminisced about when she would babysit him years ago. "I used to think I was so lucky hanging out with my cool cousin and now it turns out that cool cousin is my mom," Gio smiled.

Jordan arrived at Dante's office at Dante's behest. "I hear you've been doing a fantastic job filling in for Anna," she said. Dante informed Jordan that Anna had a psychotic break, but Jordan didn't think that made any sense. Dante mentioned he had been offered Anna's job, but he wasn't sure he wanted it.

Jordan admitted that being the police commissioner made her miss being a detective. Dante also seemed to miss it. Jordan did her best to make Dante feel confident about taking the job. "The cops at the PCPD really look up to you. Considering who your dad is, that's something," Jordan said.

Dante assumed that Jordan did not want her old job back, which Jordan confirmed. When Curtis texted that he was headed to her place, Jordan left, not knowing what news to expect.

After Jordan left, Chase arrived. "After all these years of working cases together, just look at us now. A police commissioner and a patrolman," Chase said. Dante assured Chase he knew he was a good cop, and he also knew he would give the job 100 percent. "The only thing I am worried about is your ability to take orders...from me," Dante admitted.

Dante also instructed Chase not to interfere with the latest Drew shooting investigation. Chase flashed back to finding that key to Drew's house on Michael's key ring, but didn't tell Dante about it. "I give you my word that I will not interfere with this investigation. Can I count on you to do the same?" Dante asked. Chase said that he could.

In the hospital waiting area, Portia found her voice and told Trina that she and the baby had the same father. Isaiah stood there in disbelief as Curtis and Trina embraced. Trina then left so that her parents could talk about the news. Curtis was happy, but Portia was hesitant. "Where do we go from here?" she asked.

Portia wasn't sure, but Curtis had a plan. He was ready to finalize the divorce with 50/50 custody and alternating holidays. "With custody decided, we can focus on being parents to our children and not fighting each other," Curtis said. Portia agreed to what Curtis wanted.

Portia then went to find Isaiah in the locker room. She found him coming out of the shower. After he dressed, Isaiah was willing to talk. They were both disappointed that the baby wasn't his, but Isaiah wasn't deterred. "I can still love that child because it's yours, Portia," Isaiah said.

Isaiah wanted to know how Portia felt about Jordan being in the baby's life. Portia wasn't worried about it because she assumed that Jordan could never live up to Curtis' impossible standards and he'd dump her. She had a point.

After she left GH, Trina met Ava for coffee and filled her in on the paternity test results. While she was happy to hear that Curtis was the father, Trina still had mixed feelings. This should have been a happy time for her family, but it wasn't. "I love her, Ava. I just really want to get past this and trust her again," Trina said of Portia.

Ava told Trina that Portia might lie to her again, but that is a risk one takes with any relationship. "Mistakes or not, I do have a lot of empathy for Portia. You and I both know that I am a deeply flawed person. You took a chance on me. Your mother is flawed as well. She's imperfect, she is human, and that woman would walk through fire for you," Ava reminded Trina.

Ava reminded Trina that she had walked away from Kiki when she thought Kiki betrayed her trust. But then Kiki was killed and she never had the chance to make amends with her daughter.

Curtis showed up at Jordan's place as planned. When she opened the door, he told her that he was going to be a father again. "I can't wait to experience all the things that I missed out on with Trina," Curtis excitedly said. He wanted to share it all with Jordan.
