Felicia and the kids were completely perplexed to see Maxie awake and standing in the doorway. Maxie asked if they were in the hospital, and her mother confirmed that they were. She noticed that it didn't look like General Hospital, and James informed her that they were in Boston.

Maxie was confused about why she'd be in Boston. Felicia delicately broke it to her that she had a heart attack and was transferred there for treatment. Spinelli walked into the room, wondering if his eyes deceived him. Once he realized that Maxie wasn't a mirage, Spinelli raced to her and locked in the warmest hug.

Spinelli pulled Felicia aside, thrilled that Maxie was awake. She worried that it was temporary and didn't want to get too excited. They spoke to the doctor after he examined Maxie, asking whether she was out of the woods. Maxie showed no signs of cardiac distress, and her anti-rejection meds were working well.

The miracle Maxie's family had prayed for had finally come. There was still a giant elephant in the room. Nathan. Felicia requested that she be the one to break the news to her that her dead husband wasn't so dead.

James mentioned his dad, but Maxie assumed he meant Spinelli. To give Spinelli and Maxie some alone time, Felicia took the kids out of the room for a bit. Spinelli still couldn't grasp the miracle they had received.

Spinelli left with the kids so they could get back to Port Charles. Felicia stayed behind, knowing she had one final bombshell to drop on her daughter. Felicia explained to Maxie that Nathan was alive and that was the man James referred to as his dad. Maxie just woke up to the biggest news of her entire life.

Nina arrived at the Crimson offices and found Michael and Jacinda there, barely clothed. She assumed that they slept together, but in reality, Michael simply spilled coffee on his shirt. Nina didn't want to deal with either of them, but Michael revealed he was there for her.

Michael praised Nina for her performance as Crimson's Editor-in-Chief. She thanked him for granting Willow partial custody. It was in the children's best interest, according to Michael.

However, since Michael agreed to let Willow back in, he needed something from Nina in return. Nina braced for whatever ridiculous request Michael was prepared to make. Instead, all he asked was that she take it easy on Jacinda.

Nina asked Michael to keep his relationship with Jacinda out of her office. If he could show some common decency, Nina could treat Jacinda with respect. Jacinda let Ava into Nina's office, and Nina immediately knew that she wasn't there to catch up.

Ava needed someone to talk to about Sidwell. He was an extremely wealthy client, but there was more to him than that. Sidwell treated Lucas quite well, and that entire dynamic allowed Ava and Lucas to grow closer.

Elizabeth planned to go out with Ric for the night, and normally, Lucas would have a negative remark, but he was still off kilter by overhearing Marco. Lucas didn't want to derail Elizabeth's fancy night on the town by diving into his relationship drama. She reminded him that she'd always be there for him after he helped her after her car accident injury.

Lucas cut to the chase and told Elizabeth that Marco was lying behind his back. Everything he knew about the man he loved was a complete fabrication. Marco knew everything about Sidwell's criminal operation. He wasn't just involved. Marco was the right-hand man.

Elizabeth did her best to comfort Lucas, but he knew what he heard. The man he overheard was a far cry from the one he had fallen in love with. Despite the secrets and lies, Elizabeth genuinely believed that Marco loved Lucas. His deception didn't erase that. The more they talked, the clearer it became how much danger Lucas was in. Elizabeth encouraged Lucas to swipe his things for Wyndemere and more out immediately.

Marco found Britt in the lab and was pleased that she had finally gotten to work. She was uncomfortable with Marco watching her administer her meds, but he insisted on watching. Britt was concerned about how her medicine was being handled and requested to see for herself that it was properly stored.

Marco wished things didn't have to be that way, but Britt didn't think that would ever happen. He claimed he would relay her concerns to Sidwell. However, if Sidwell declined his inquiry, that would be the end of it. Britt blasted Marco for lying to Lucas every day about who he truly was. She warned him that one day Lucas would learn the truth, and everything would blow up in his face.

Marco thought that once Britt's work was over, he'd live a normal life with Lucas. Britt waved a red flag in front of him and reminded Marco that they were creating a weapon in the lab, and lying to his boyfriend wouldn't end well.

Marco didn't take kindly to Britt judging his decisions. She didn't see it like that. Britt worked with Faison, so she knew what it was like to be trapped under a father's thumb. She questioned why he'd force himself into Sidwell's web when he has someone like Lucas to care about him.

Later on, Marco phoned Cullum, once again asking to revisit the conversation about taking out Sonny. This time, Lucas overheard Marco again, and there was no way for the latter to get around what he heard.

Lucy arrived at Wyndemere to begin the first phase of her plan to bring down Sidwell. He told her that she was always welcome there. Lucy didn't know how to get to the point, so Sidwell demanded she say what she needed to say. Lucy apologized for asking him to choose between her and Ava.

Sidwell was surprised by Lucy's sudden turnaround. Lucy spun it as how much she loved spending time with him, and beyond that, he'd proven to be a valuable asset to Deception. Sidwell vowed that he'd do anything for the women of Deception.

Lucy struggled with the idea of Sidwell spending time with Ava, but she was willing to forgo that for now. Sidwell was pleased to keep Lucy in his general orbit. The idea of losing out on her theatrics made him quite sad. Sidwell made it clear, though, that their relationship would not be exclusive.

Nathan and Lulu kissed again, but she pulled back. She told him, "I can't." Nathan knew he wasn't helping matters, and Lulu agreed. Her children could've walked in on them, and besides that, Lulu wondered if they should remain friends. Nathan didn't think that was likely, and with that being the case, Lulu wanted to explore those feelings.

Brook Lynn walked in through Lulu's front door, just as she and Nathan almost kissed again. After Nathan left, Brook Lynn confronted Lulu, demanding answers about what she had just witnessed. She asked Lulu to confirm that there was nothing going on between her and Nathan.

Lulu tried to fight it, but ultimately she confessed, "Nathan and I have feelings for each other." She requested time and space to explore her feelings, but Brook Lynn reminded her that she never repaid the favor. Lulu's meddling in her personal life led to Gio's life imploding at the Nurse's Ball.

Call it convenient timing, but Lulu promised Brook Lynn that she learned from her wrongdoings throughout that entire ordeal. Brook Lynn didn't budge. She warned Lulu that pursuing something with Nathan could completely destroy her friendship with Maxie.

Spinelli interrupted the conversation and revealed to Lulu that Maxie had woken up. Everything about Nathan just became far more complicated than it already was.
