Lucas met with Carly at the Metro Court bar at her behest. He was surprised when she told him that she wanted to host a gathering for their family and the Sidwell clan. She was ready to invite Michael and Josslyn so the Sidwells could meet the whole family.

Lucas told her that dinner was a bad idea. "You were right. I owe you a huge apology," Lucas said. Lucas came right out and told Carly that Marco was involved in Sidwell's business. "I overheard him and his dad talking and it was clear they were working on something illegal," Lucas whispered.

Carly asked if Lucas knew what Marco and Sidwell were working on. Lucas refused to go into details. Instead, he told his sister that he didn't want Marco to go to jail. He defended Marco, saying that Sidwell took advantage of him after Natalia died. Carly was apoplectic when she realized that Lucas confronted Marco.

"I had to find out if I was being played or if anything we had between us was real," he explained. Carly still wanted Lucas to get out of Wyndemere ASAP. Lucas refused, saying it was his relationship. Carly wondered how Lucas could still trust Marco.

"How many times did Sonny lie to you?" Lucas asked. Carly claimed the situations were different, as she knew Sonny was a criminal when their relationship began. She asked Lucas if he would have gotten involved with Marco if he had known the truth when they first met.

Lucas defended Marco, telling Carly that Marco was vulnerable after losing his mother, so Marco got involved in Sidwell's business to get closure. "Marco promised me that once this is over, he will keep his distance from Sidwell," Lucas assured a skeptical Carly.

Across the dining room, Ric and Sonny had breakfast and discussed Sonny's business. When Justine walked by, Sonny flagged her down and asked her to join them. Justine said she couldn't, but announced that she had an update on Rocco. He was way ahead of schedule with his community service hours and would complete the sentence soon.

Ric watched as Sonny and Justine traded compliments and flirted with one another. After Justine left the table, Ric asked what was going on with his brother and the assistant district attorney. "I just can't figure out who's playing who," Ric said. Ric came right out and asked Sonny if he was interested in Justine on a personal level.

Tracy arrived at Wyndemere to talk business with Sidwell. "You and I need to get a few things straight," she said. Tracy then happily have Sidwell the wonderful news. "Maxie Jones is recovered and eager to get to work," she said. Sidwell feigned delight before Tracy had more to say.

"I came here to tell you in person that your days of free rein over Deception are done," she said. She also wanted a full audit of all his Deception shipments since Maxie entered her coma. Sidwell thought that would be a waste of time. All Tracy and Maxie had to do was ask him and he'd be forthcoming.

Tracy was grateful for Sidwell's help, but assured him that the company did not belong to him. "We need to go back to our original agreement. You supply Deception with the zincite it needs and that's it," she declared.

Sidwell flatly told her no. He had no plans to go anywhere. When Pascal appeared, Sidwell told him to show Tracy out. "We are done," he said with a smile. After Tracy left, Pascal informed Sidwell that Lucas had been listening in on Sidwell's conversation with Marco the day before.

Sidwell figured Lucas could not have heard much since Marco didn't tell him anything. "Or perhaps your son is keeping the conversation from you," Pascal intimated. Sidwell didn't want to hear it. "Never question my son's loyalty to me," he snapped. Sidwell just asked Pascal to keep his eye on Lucas.

However, Sidwell wasn't playing. "If Lucas persuades Marco to leave, well, I will be there to console my son at Lucas' funeral," Sidwell said.

Alexis and Laura met in Laura's office to discuss Drew. Laura told Alexis that Drew's congressional office was not being forthcoming with information about Drew's condition, so she hoped that Alexis could fill her in. Alexis gave Laura details.

"He's completely locked in himself. He can't communicate at all. And I understand he won't be able to complete his term in Congress," Alexis relayed. Laura noted that they now had an empty seat in Congress and the governor had to now appoint someone to replace him. Then, there would be a special election.

Alexis thought that Laura would be a perfect candidate, but Laura begged to differ. She wanted to recommend Alexis to replace Drew. Alexis was flattered, but said she had never considered public office before. Laura thought that was great. She didn't want a career politician. "Port Charles just needs someone with integrity," she said.

Alexis noted the things that would have kept people from public office before our current world times, including the facts that she had been in prison and disbarred. Laura didn't see the problem with any of it. "The most important thing here is that you are someone I could work with in a way I never could with Drew," Laura stressed.

Laura also knew that Alexis wouldn't put special interests before the interests of her constituents. Alexis knew that Laura was talking about Sidwell. Eventually, Alexis agreed to consider the offer.

Willow stopped by the hospital to talk to Elizabeth. She admitted that taking care of Drew was hard before tendering her resignation. Liz asked if Willow was sure that's what she wanted to do. Willow said she had given it a lot of thought, "But right now my family has to be my priority."

Liz understood, but reminded Willow that there were professionals who could help her take care of Drew. Willow insisted it had to be her. "When the time is right, I'll come back to nursing. This really is the best thing for me. I'm rebuilding my life and leaving GH is the first step," she said.

Willow's next stop was the Wyndemere parapet, a famous place that Willow had never been before. Sidwell had called her over to discuss Drew's congressional seat. Willow was stunned when Sidwell suggested that Willow take over and finish Drew's term.

At the PCPD, Chase overheard Molly and Nathan discussing the interview with Michael. Nathan didn't think they had any new evidence to use against him. "With no new leads against Michael, this investigation may just have to run its course," Nathan said.

When Chase approached Molly, she told him that she had recused herself from the case. "Sometimes lines get blurry, and one can cross a line without even realizing it, as you well know," Molly pointed out. "I'm moving on. You should do the same," she added, before walking away.

Chase then found Nathan and stressed how important it was that Nathan follow up on every possible lead, for Dante's sake, of course. "I think you overlooked how Michael could have gotten into Drew's house," Chase suggested.

Nathan pointed out how many people had keys to Drew's house. "How can we be sure that Michael didn't get his hands on a copy of that key?" Chase asked. They took this query to Justine, who wanted to get a search warrant.

In the Q kitchen, Michael noticed that Dante had been avoiding him. Dante explained that he was the police commissioner and they had to avoid one another while Michael was under investigation. Michael thought that made sense, but still wondered if it was an excuse.

"Are you angry, Dante? Are you angry that I lied to you?" Michael asked. Dante admitted that he was still angry and now in an "impossible situation" because of him. Michael apologized and acknowledged that he had made the wrong call. Michael stressed thathe welcomed the investigation so he could prove his innocence.

Dante got blunt with Michael. "You shouldn't have steered the investigation in the direction you wanted and you should have told the truth," he said. "For what it's worth, I have faith that Nathan will find the truth, whatever it is."

Dante left Michael alone in the kitchen and headed to work. When he got there, he asked Nathan how he was feeling now that Maxie was awake. Nathan said he was invited to Maxie's welcome home celebration, but wasn't sure if he would go. Nathan then brought up the Drew Cain shooting investigation and wondered if Michael had a key to Drew's house.

Back in the Q kitchen, Chase walked in and tried to avoid Michael, but it was a small room. Michael asked if they could co-exist without tension. Chase gave his answer. "If you want to make things easier on everybody, why don't you just turn yourself in?" he asked.

The argument began again, as Michael accused Willow of shooting Drew and Chase insisted precious Willow would never shoot anyone. Tracy walked in and immediately scolded Chase for still blaming Michael. "Isn't it enough that Willow was unjustly acquitted?" Tracy wondered.

Chase put his foot in his mouth again when he announced, "Willow didn't shoot Drew. Michael did and he shouldn't get to walk away from that." Tracy then put her foot down, saying, "Chase, you are a wonderful man and you have made my granddaughter very happy, but if you can't let this go, you are in the wrong family."

Just then, Nathan walked in with a search warrant to see if Michael had the keys to Drew's house. Michael handed over his key ring without argument
