What happened on General Hospital

Elizabeth surprised Mayor Laura in her office, telling her that she wanted to talk because she was worried about her. She knew how it felt to suddenly be in an empty home, which Laura was experiencing now that Ace and Kevin were in Ireland. Laura said it has been hard, but she was enjoying her work as a good distraction.

"If you ever need someone to be sad with or someone to confide in, I'm always here," Liz said. Laura asked how Liz got through the loneliness. "My friends stepped in and they got me through it," Elizabeth told her. Liz offered her the same kind of support.

Joss was shocked to open her door to Jack, since he had never visited her at home before. He told her that WSB director Ross Collum was in town and could pose a threat to her. Jack feared that Collum would want to use Josslyn for dangerous assignments, so he was deactivating her to protect her.

Josslyn was apoplectic at the news, but Jack said his decision was final. He even had a new asset for Spoon Island. Joss was shocked to hear that it was Britt. "You are classified as a sleeper. You are to avoid the WSB offices and Wyndemere," Jack ordered. "Josslyn, I appreciate all the work you've done, but right now, I need you to stay sharp and stay invisible," he added, before leaving.

Britt was alarmed when she spotted Cullum meeting with Rocco and Lulu at Bobbie's. She quickly composed herself before telling Carly that she was moving out. Britt gave Carly a list of complaints about her room, and all Carly could do was roll her eyes.

The two women bickered back and forth, with Britt taunting Carly with how nice Jason was to her and how much time he wanted to spend with her. Carly told Britt that Britt and Jason would never have what Carly and Jason have. "That's fine by me. Your relationship isn't admirable. It's pathetic," Britt said.

At a table, Cullum told Lulu and Rocco that he had questions about Professor Dalton's disappearance. Rocco didn't have much more to tell him than what he had already told the police. Collum gave them his card and asked them to call if they remembered anything else. When Collum left, he made sure that Britt saw him.

Carly then tried to leave, but Britt grabbed her by the arm. "I am so sick of your moral authority act," Britt said. Carly was onto Britt, telling her she knew she was trying to bait her. "Why don't you tell me why you called me over here just so you could start a fight with me?" Carly demanded.

Britt denied trying to start a fight, but Carly didn't believe her. So, Britt bickered with Carly some more, trying to goad her. When Jason arrived and saw the argument, he asked what was going on. "Carly was just reminding me of the reason why I want nothing to do with you," Britt told a surprised Jason.

At the PCPD, Dante asked Nathan to keep him posted on the evidence review of Drew's shooting. Chase soon appeared, so Dante took him into the interrogation room to talk. He told Chase that Internal Affairs had finished their investigation. The report said that Chase was in violation of department policy for conducting an investigation based on privileged info.

However, it was determined that no laws had been broken, so Chase was not fired. Chase was relieved until Dante told him he was being demoted. Chase would now be a patrol cop, but could take the detective test again once he met the standards. Chase was angry and had to think about what he was going to do.

Jason met with Tracy in the Q solarium so that she could make him an offer. "I will be your alibi for whatever it is that you did to Drew," she told a confused Jason. Tracy explained what happened to Drew, but Jason wanted to know why his aunt thought he had something to do with Drew's stroke.

Tracy admitted that at first she thought karma was offering some payback, but then she thought someone had to have given karma a little push. "I don't need an alibi, but thank you. I am not sorry Drew got what he deserved, but I had nothing to do with it," Jason said.

Jason asked Danny to come downstairs so they could tell him the news about Drew. Tracy hoped that Danny and Scout could spend time together now, but Jason worried about what Drew would do when he woke up. "If he wakes up," Tracy said.

As soon as Danny heard what had happened, he wanted to text Scout, but Jason advised him against it. Danny wanted Jason to ask Willow to lift the restraining order, but Jason didn't think he should be the one do it. He had someone else in mind for that job.

When Chase got home, his first stop was the solarium. He was all alone and started throwing things around in frustration until Tracy appeared. He told Tracy what happened. She sat him down and sympathized with him. "Believe me when I tell you, it's the department's loss," she said.

Suzanne informed Alexis that Willow was there to see her. Alexis braced herself for whatever Willow had to say. Willow walked in looking distraught as she told Alexis that Drew had a stroke. Willow sat down and put on an act, telling Alexis that the stroke had to be a result of the shooting and stress from the trial.

Willow was relieved when Alexis told her that she would explain to Scout what had happened. "Thank you for being so considerate when it comes to Scout," Alexis said. "With that in mind, I think it would be best right now if Scout moved in with me," she added.

Alexis was relieved when Willow agreed that Scout could stay with her. "Even with the best prognosis, Drew's recovery will be difficult, and it'll be too hard for her to watch," Willow said. As Willow got up to leave, Alexis asked, "And what about Danny?"

Willow admitted she knew that Danny saw Scout on Boxing Day, but was hesitant to let him see Scout now. "I'm concerned about Drew's reaction," Willow said. Alexis said she understood and thanked Willow. After Willow left, Suzanne returned to see a smile on Alexis' face.

"That woman, who I've lost so much sleep over, just gave me the best present that I could ever imagine. My granddaughter. You know, when I'm with Scout, it's somehow like Sam is still here," Alexis said.

Suzanne praised Alexis for getting the job done and keeping her eye on the prize — Scout. Alexis thanked Suzanne for being by her side for the last year, and especially through Willow's trial.

Once Alexis was alone, she welcomed Danny to her office so he could ask her if he could have Willow lift the restraining order. Alexis told Danny that Willow wasn't sure if she should lift the order till they knew Drew's prognosis, but she thought there was a good chance he could see Scout soon.

At General Hospital, Nina asked Lucas for an update on Drew's condition. He told her that he could only discuss test results with Willow. Nina called Willow and left her a message before Kai appeared, looking for Willow. Drew's PR team wanted Willow to approve a statement about Drew's condition.

Nina told Kai she was surprised he hadn't resigned after learning that Drew had been blackmailing Portia. Kai said he would have, but the stroke stopped him. "It's hard to separate the good things Drew has done from the bad. I don't know how Willow does it," he said. "Neither do I," Nina replied.

Nina and Kai sat down to talk. Kai said that when he had first met Drew, he admired him. "But now, I think I was just being naive," he said. Nina said she could relate. Nina tried to remain optimistic about Drew. "Sometimes people come back from a health crisis completely changed," she said.

Kai pointed out that surviving attempted murder didn't change Drew at all. She advised Kai not to make a monumental decision and quit until he had thought about it some more.

When Willow arrived, Lucas found all three of them and gave them Drew's prognosis. Lucas told them that Drew had suffered a major stroke, affecting her motor and language skills. Willow began to weep, saying she knew a full recovery was unlikely. Willow fell into Elizabeth's arms, sobbing uncontrollably. Nina watched her daughter with suspicion.

Later, Nina approached a calmer Willow, who was sitting on a waiting room sofa. When Nina commented on how upset Willow was earlier, Willow responded coldly, saying, "I'm Drew's wife. What reaction should I have?"

Nina advised Willow not to let her sympathy turn into real love, reminding Willow that she only married Drew to secure her freedom. "I just want to make sure my husband gets the treatment he deserves," Willow said.
