On the January 26, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Sidwell's reach extended further in Port Charles, as Sonny, Jason, and even Josslyn formulated a plan to take him down.
What happened on General Hospital

At GH, Jason confronted Britt about the encounter at Bobbie's. He wanted to talk, but Britt pulled Lucas into the conversation in case she needed witnesses for a future restraining order. Britt demanded that Jason leave her alone if he ever cared about her.
Lucas had no idea how to react to Britt's meltdown. However, once she was alone, Britt cried to herself after being forced to push Jason out of her life.
Sonny confronted Ava about Sidwell, and, naturally, she played it off as if he were simply a client of her gallery. She asked Sonny what business any of it was of his, and he brought up Avery. Sonny urged Ava to avoid being involved with Sidwell, and he vowed that she didn't know who she was dealing with.
Ava reminded Sonny that she could handle herself. Her personal life wasn't up for debate. Jason arrived soon after, and Sonny brought him up to speed about Ava and Sidwell. Ava and Lucy fighting over Sidwell could create the perfect distraction for them to make a future move.
Sonny would've struck sooner if it were only him involved, but Laura was being blackmailed as well. Jason agreed that Laura being in the mix changed things, but he did question how long they planned to give Sidwell this sort of free rein.
Jason told Sonny about Britt's public breakup, and as usual, Carly was at the root of her issue with him. Sonny wasn't surprised, since Carly and Britt had fought in the past. However, Jason explained that Carly was adamant that Britt staged the fight to get his attention. Whatever the reason, Britt went out of her way to ensure he witnessed it.

At the Metro Court, Jordan ran into Brick on his way to meet with Carly. He joked that he manifested her appearance there, but in all seriousness, he enjoyed her presence. Brick invited Jordan to dinner, but before she could fully decline, Curtis interrupted.
Brick introduced himself as a friend of Michael's, which was a mutual connection between him and Curtis. After Brick left, Curtis joked that Jordan knew Brick's number.
They briefly discussed Brick, but Jordan was stunned by Drew's stroke. She felt some compassion, and while Curtis understood that, he didn't share her sentiment. The couple dove deeper into how Curtis almost claimed Drew's life himself.

Carly approached Sidwell at her restaurant, and she asked if he ever wondered why she allowed him to be there after he held her at gunpoint. After an incorrect guess, Sidwell realized that Carly planned to collect on a favor at a later date, and that moment had finally arrived.
Sidwell asked how he could be of assistance, and Carly reminded him that Lucas had recently moved in there, and he assumed that she wanted him to sabotage the relationship. Carly was curious what was in it for him, and she didn't buy his answer that he cared about Marco's happiness.
Sidwell claimed to respect Lucas and Marco's relationship, and his son had a difficult year. Carly recalled how dangerous Sidwell had been, and, as a criminal, she refused to buy into his act of benevolence. Sidwell understood where Carly was coming from, and he knew how distant Carly and her brother had become.
Sidwell offered to help Carly make amends with Lucas because he believed that was what she hoped to accomplish. He advised Carly to make nice with Marco, and Sidwell vowed to do whatever it took to help her. Sidwell invited Carly on a trip to Wyndemere to begin healing her relationship with Lucas.
Carly apologized for keeping Brick waiting so long, and he instantly asked her about interacting with Sidwlel. Carly explained Lucas and Marco's relationship, and she was concerned about Lucas being hurt or even killed because of it.
Ava joined Sidwell for drinks and informed him that Sidwell had created new tension between her and Sonny. Ava told Sidwell that Sonny wasn't a fan of his and that he needed to watch his back.
Sidwell apologized for Sonny taking out his frustrations about him on her, but she wasn't phased. Sonny thought he had a say in her personal life, but she refused to give Sonny the satisfaction of cutting things off.

Marco invited Cullum into Wyndemere after inviting him to stop by. Cullum assumed that Sidwell wanted him there, but it was Marco who requested his company. Marco wanted to discuss Sonny, and despite Sidwell's reluctance to handle the situation, Marco demanded answers.
Marco didn't want to keep Sonny alive, and he believed that Sidwell underestimated what Sonny was capable of. He thought Sonny posed a great threat to their business, and Sidwell's complacency gave Sonny time to plot his next move.
Cullum was under the impression that Sonny was in line, but Marco didn't think the blackmail was enough. He urged Cullum to take Sonny out once and for all. After Cullum left, Marco phoned Britt and ordered her to Wyndemere, even threatening to report her to Cullum if she didn't comply.
Britt wanted Marco to leave her alone, so she demanded that they give her an actual lab where she could work on cold fusion. Lucas walked in on the end of their conversation, and he wanted answers as to what he had just overheard.

Josslyn ran into Jack on the pier, right before a snowstorm was set to arrive. She told him that she figured out a way to comb through Wyndemere without being detected. Jack said that Josslyn had been benched, and she enraged him after revealing that she had defied orders by visiting Wyndmere the prior night.
Lucas invited Josslyn to visit, so there was no way she could have rejected the offer. Pascal wasn't around, so this was the perfect time to drop by. Jack accused Josslyn of disobeying a direct order, but she defended herself. She asked if he wanted to know what she uncovered, and the catacombs may have been unsealed.
Josslyn went on about Lucas wanting to explore the catacombs, but Marco was vehemently against it. Marco saying "absolutely not" was a glaring red flag. Josslyn was confident that Sidwell's project was taking place in the catacombs.
Josslyn believed the snowstorm was the perfect opening to visit Spoon Island. She expected everyone to depart the island, giving her time to look through everything.
Jack received a text from Cullum, who was on his way, and since he didn't know about Josslyn, he needed to get her to make herself scarce. Before she left, Jack reiterated to Josslhynt that she was NOT to search Spoon Island.
Cullum and Sidwell disagreed about the chain of command within the WSB. Cullum told Jack that he answered to him, and he demanded to know what Sidwell was doing in Port Charles and how it connected to Sonny.
Cullum asked if Jack's involvement with Carly caused him to back off from investigating Sonny. Jack responded that he was only seeing Carly in the first place to get the information.
Josslyn overheard the entire conversation and was seemingly anxious about how to take it all in. However, she called Brick to her apartment, and he got there as quickly as possible. She was ready to take action.
