Danger Alert...and Hypocrisy

Carly and Valentin made breakfast in her kitchen like an old married couple. He wanted to know if he was still sexy now that he was no longer an international fugitive. Carly said she could make it work. They acknowledged that their plan didn't work out at all since Jack was still walking free and Josslyn was still in the WSB, but at least he didn't have to live in the attic anymore.

As they began to kiss, Sonny walked in, sighed, rolled his eyes, and put it bluntly: "Out of all the mistakes you've made, Carly, this has to be the absolute worst."

Carly pulled Sonny aside and told him he needed to knock. Sonny said he did, but Carly was clearly distracted. He then got right to the point and told Carly this thing with Valentin had to end. "I thought I'd just come here and get the story on the new fugitive in our daughter's life," Sonny said.

An insulted Valentin had his say, telling Sonny that he had been granted a full pardon and was now a free man, "which means nobody can stop Carly and me from seeing each other whenever and wherever we want."

Carly pointed out that she and Sonny had disagreed about the other's romantic partners before, so Valentin noted that their "mutual ex-wife Nina" was one of them. Sonny wasn't about to let this go, so he told Carly all about how Valentin switched his bi-polar meds back in 2023.

Sonny thought that would do it, but Valentin apologized. That was good enough for Carly. "I didn't really know you then," she shrugged, much to Sonny's frustration. So, Sonny moved onto the fact that Valentin was a Cassadine. "Didn't you sleep with my cousin Alexis?" Valentin chimed in.

Finally, Carly explained that Valentin had been living with her for more than half a year, hiding from the authorities in her attic. Sonny worried that Donna could have been at risk. "Your place was firebombed," Valentin said. Carly insisted she minimized any risk to Donna, but she had to get Josslyn out of the WSB and needed Valentin.

Sonny was surprised to hear that Jack had recruited Josslyn, so Carly said that was the reason they broke up. "Among other reasons," Valentin noted, much to Sonny's disgust. Carly finally got serious and reminded Sonny that Valentin risked his freedom and life to save Josslyn when they knew she was on Spoon Island.

She said even helped bring down Sidwell. That's when Sonny announced that Cullum got what he deserved since he was the one who firebombed Sonny's apartment and nearly killed Michael. Sonny used that info to point out that Valentin has a lot of enemies, so Valentin had to chime in again about Sonny's hypocrisy.

"At least Carly trusts me," Sonny said. Carly said she did trust him, but she wasn't budging on this Valentin thing. Surprisingly, Sonny told Carly good luck and left. Once alone, Valentin asked Carly if she was really okay with what he had done with Sonny's meds. She wasn't, but like she said, she didn't know that man. She was involved with the man he was now.

Valentin mentioned how they had come a long way. When he first showed up, she wanted him gone but now she never wanted him to leave.

Dante met with Laura for breakfast at the Metro Court Gardens, where she dropped the good news that Anna was home. Dante was thrilled and ready to hang up his police commissioner hat. They moved on to discuss the shootout on Spoon Island, as both wanted some straight answers from the WSB.

After Dante left, Marty appeared. He was back in town and made a lot of money off that case in Reno, so he wanted to buy breakfast. Laura broke the news that Sidwell was behind Marty landing the case. Marty was surprised when Laura told him all about Sidwell's blackmail scheme with a dead body in her trunk. Kevin and Ace could even come home after the summer semester in Dublin was over.

At another table, Justine relayed the tale of Sidwell holding her at gunpoint to Molly. She knew she couldn't prosecute him due to that conflict of interest, so she offered the case to Molly. She was flattered and loved the idea of a challenge, but since the case was being fast-tracked, it would interfere with Molly's book tour.

Molly asked for a day to think things over, but Justine wanted Molly to also consider that taking the case could put her in Sidwell's crosshairs. Justine admitted that she reconsidered her own career choices when Sidwell had the gun trained on her, but then Sonny saved her. Molly noted that by saving her life, Sonny ensured that Justine couldn't prosecute him.

Justine smiled and said that was true before running off to the apartment above Charlie's for a tryst with Sonny.

Anna's Home With a Guest

Anna tentatively approached her front door with Felicia talking a mile a minute. When Anna opened the door, she found Mac, Gio, and Emma waiting for her. They shouted "Surprise" as Emma ran into Anna's arms. She was impressed with how clean everything looked.

Emma and Gio updated Anna on the broken furniture and mugs, but they replaced them all. Anna even learned that Sonny had a dog now. Anna took Gio aside and thanked him for looking after Emma. He whispered that he loved Emma, so there was no need to thank him. He also admitted that he missed Anna, so she gave him a big ol' hug.

Soon, Anna encouraged Gio and Emma to go to the pool since she was tired. After they left, Anna also tried to kick Mac and Felicia out. They protested for a bit, with Felicia thinking she was abandoning Anna, but they finally walked out.

Once Anna was alone, she held her new mug and stared out the window until Dante arrived to welcome her home. Anna went right into agent mode. "Tell me what you have on Faison's son," she said.

Anna was shocked to hear that Cassius was dead. She apologized to Dante for poorly vetting Cassius and being completely fooled into believing he was Nathan. Dante admitted that he was just as fooled. Anna somehow convinced herself that it had to be Cassius who tricked her into thinking Faison was alive.

After Dante left, Anna was alone once again. But not for long. Soon, Peter appeared, and it was clear he was just in Anna's not-quite-healed mind. "It's good to be home, isn't it. Now, you can finally get your revenge," he said, in that over-dramatic Peter menacing way.

Pool Time

At the Metro Court pool, Kai convinced Trina to take a break from planning her showcase. She was all smiles until she looked up and spotted Portia and Isaiah. Trina took a deep breath and made some small talk with her mother, but Portia knew that she had to give Trina her space, so she quickly grabbed a table.

Portia and Isaiah sat down at their table and waited for Ric. When he got there, Isaiah told him he wanted to hire him to sue Curtis. Isaiah thought that Curtis should pay for not just ruining his career, but also for injuring the hand of one of the few doctors who could perform a specific surgery. Ric was thrilled to take the case.

Kai and Trina were happy when Gio and Emma arrived. Emma shared her good news about Anna, but Trina promised not to talk about the showcase. Gio pointed out that Portia and Isaiah were talking to Ric, which piqued Trina's curiosity. She started to worry that Isaiah wanted to cause more trouble for Curtis, but Kai reminded Trina she had sworn she'd stay out of it.

Curtis Gets a New Lawyer

At Jordan's apartment, Curtis hung up from a call with his lawyer and told Jordan that he had been advised to take a plea deal. He was offered two years with a possibility of parole in eight months. Jordan didn't think he should have to serve any time at all for assaulting someone for no reason and ruining their career.

Because Willow was now a suspect in this non-crime, Curtis' lawyer felt he didn't have much of a defense. Curtis didn't want to take the deal because he'd have to miss out on the first eight months of his baby's life. Curtis also didn't think Willow was the other driver. He was sure Sonny, Michael, or Tracy had set Willow up. Jordan suggested using Chase to investigate who set Willow up.

She mentioned how he always goes to the wall for her, so surely, he'd do it again. Curtis later thought of accepting the plea deal, but Jordan warned him that inmates could learn he was once law enforcement and there would be trouble. Luckily, Laura sent Marty over to help Curtis with a new legal strategy.

Lucas and Liz

Ric wasn't happy to find that Lucas was still sleeping on Elizabeth's couch. He had apparently interrupted their evening in a drunken stupor. Ric threw something at Lucas to wake him. A hungover Lucas apologized for ruining their evening and offered to leave, but Liz wouldn't hear of it.

Ric sighed and left for a meeting, leaving Lucas to lament the sorrows of his life to Elizabeth. He told Liz that he just learned that Britt did not have Huntington's Disease, so Marco had died for nothing. Lucas blamed himself, but Liz insisted that he, Marco, and Britt were the victims in this scenario.
