Here is the General Hospital weekly recap for episodes that aired from March 23rd through March 27th, 2026: Marco is murdered by Cullum, who then attacks Britt and Jason, prompting Rocco to shoot him. Jason took the fall for the shooting and was taken away by the WSB.
What happened on General Hospital?

This week on General Hospital, chaos erupted. One incident didn’t just send shockwaves outward; it pulled multiple storylines into the same orbit. By the time the dust started to settle, it hadn’t really settled at all. It was just subtler, with consequences already set in motion.
Jason takes the fall while Rocco carries the truth

The turning point happened on the pier, where Britt’s confrontation with Agent Cullum turned violent. Jason arrived during the struggle, and the situation quickly intensified. The gun was knocked loose, the fight changed in the villain’s favor, and Rocco, hidden nearby, made a split-second decision. He grabbed the weapon and shot Cullum to prevent him from hitting Jason with an expandable baton.
From there, everything turned into containment. Nathan stumbled upon the scene and pulled Rocco out before anyone could link him to what happened. Jason took control of what was left, wiping the gun and positioning himself as the shooter by firing a shot to get gunpowder residue on his hand. When Dante arrived, Jason didn’t hesitate. He surrendered, said nothing, and let the narrative form around him.
At the station, he refused to explain his actions. Even under pressure, he remained silent. The truth wasn’t something he was willing to give up, especially if it meant exposing Rocco. Britt remembered Jason waking her and telling her to say that he shot Cullum. In her statement later, she supported that version of events, providing just enough detail to keep suspicion away from where it really belonged, although she had no idea about Rocco’s involvement.
Lulu protects Rocco as the cover story holds

Once Rocco told Lulu what really happened, the situation changed again. The facts were clear. He didn’t act recklessly; he acted to protect Jason and Britt. But that didn’t change what it could cost him. Lulu immediately understood that Jason had taken the fall on purpose, and that protecting Rocco meant keeping that lie.
Nathan reaffirmed the same approach. There was no evidence tying Rocco to the scene, and without that, silence was the safest choice. Lulu agreed, even as Rocco grappled with what he had done. He wondered if Cullum would survive and what it would mean for Jason if he didn’t. Lulu assured him that none of this changed who he was, but the burden of it remained with him.
By the end of the week, that secret stayed safe, but it came with a price. Jason was gone, and Rocco realized his freedom had been exchanged for it.
Marco’s death devastates Lucas as Sidwell turns toward revenge

While one crisis unfolded at the pier, another was happening at Alexis’s office. Marco was found stabbed and barely alive, and rushed to the hospital just as Lucas was already in surgery, working on Cullum. The overlap created a harsh contrast. Lucas fought to save one man while losing another, and wouldn’t learn of his loss until much later.
Despite efforts to save him, Marco didn’t survive. The loss was sudden and devastating. Lucas had just begun building a future with him, and that future was gone in a matter of hours. He blamed himself for bringing Marco into danger, for not seeing it coming, and for his inability to prevent it.
At Wyndemere, Ava flirted with Sidwell. Then, Chase arrived and insisted on speaking to him. The policeman told Sidwell that his son had been shot. Ava accompanied Sidwell to General Hospital. Once there, Dr. Isaiah Gannon told Sidwell that his son had died. He asked to see where his son was and went to the trauma room where his son's body was.
Sidwell’s reaction was quick and fierce. His grief quickly turned into anger, and he directed that anger outward. He demanded answers at the PCPD, suspecting Sonny and everyone connected to him. Even while mourning, he was strategic, looking to blame someone.
Sidwell vowed to his late son's body that his death -- and his mother's -- would not go unpunished, and Sonny Corinthos would pay.
Later, Sidwell thanked Lucas for loving his son and acknowledged the happiness Marco had discovered. It didn’t lessen what was to come; it simply made the loss feel even more painful.
The WSB removes Jason as Carly and Valentin align

Jason’s arrest didn’t stay local for long. WSB agents arrived, took control, and superseded the PCPD, preparing to extradite him immediately. No destination was specified, and there was no opportunity for a legal delay. Alexis and Justine both objected, but their protests didn’t change the outcome.
Jason, in shackles, was transferred under heavy guard, with the understanding that once he was gone, getting him back would be nearly impossible. His final moments in Port Charles were brief. He said goodbye to Danny from a distance, maintaining his composure even as Danny broke down watching him being taken away.
Carly, already on edge, turned to Valentin for help. Their relationship shifted under pressure. Valentin didn’t promise anything lightly, but he made it clear he would try to intervene. He has contacts in Europe who could free Jason during transport. Carly chose to trust him, not because the situation was stable, but because she didn’t have a better option that made more sense.
Brook Lynn and Chase face foster questions while family tensions rise

Beyond the bigger crises, Brook Lynn and Chase faced a different kind of pressure. Their meeting with the social worker required them to explain why they wanted to foster baby Delilah, knowing the arrangement would only be temporary.
They described their connection to the child and their dedication to her well-being, even if it meant letting her go in the future. The social worker recognized that bond but questioned whether they were ready for the emotional challenges of fostering. Ultimately, they were awarded custody of Daphne as her foster parents.
At the same time, tensions arose within the Quartermaine circle. Michael and Olivia disagreed over his relationship with Jacinda and how it could impact the household. Unbeknownst to the two, Wiley overheard Olivia claim that Jacinda was a “hooker.” By the end, Olivia eased up, agreeing to give Jacinda a chance but still expressing concern.
Sonny braced for fallout

Sonny increased security around his home, anticipating that whatever came next wouldn’t stay contained for long. Conversations with Gio and Ric reflected that awareness. The situation with Jason, Sidwell, and the WSB wasn’t isolated. It was connected and escalating. Sonny prepared to be the ace in the hole with information about Cullum’s nefarious dealings.
At the PCPD, Dante continued working within limits that were becoming increasingly frustrating. The WSB’s authority extended beyond his reach, leaving him to manage the aftermath without control over the larger picture. Justine openly challenged that imbalance, calling out how easily jurisdiction had been overridden.
Joss and Britt consider a dangerous solution

With Cullum alive but vulnerable, a new question emerged. What if he wakes up? Josslyn approached Britt with brutal honesty. Acting quickly might be the only way to stay ahead of what was coming.
Britt initially resisted the idea, pointing out the risks and what it would involve. Joss then said she would be the one to eliminate Cullum and shouldn’t have asked Britt to commit murder. Joss saw it as a moment she had been trained for: to recognize when an agent must act independently for the greater good, and she considered this one of those moments. Ultimately, Britt knew the onus was on her to get rid of Cullum.
Inside his room, with no one immediately stopping her, Britt prepared to act. She had a syringe ready, standing by his bedside, with the opportunity in front of her. Before anything could happen, Lulu walked in, interrupting the moment. The decision was still unmade, but the line had already been crossed.
Lulu and Britt took their conversation out to the nurses' station. Lulu asked for an update on Agent Cullum. Britt said it was hard to say if he'd pull through or not.
Meanwhile, Josslyn closed the blinds in Cullum's room and approached the machines by his bedside. Just then, Cullum's eyes opened!
