Sonny answered his door, and Carly stormed into his house, clearly annoyed that he hadn't given her an update yet. Sonny hadn't located Jason yet, and he told Carly that she needed to find out from Jack what charges Jason faced.

Carly knew Jason was leaving town, but now that the WSB had Jason in custody, it was obvious that something had gone wrong. There was no chance that Jason would allow a plan to unravel in the way that it did unless something crazy happened.

Carly believed there was something missing from the story. There was a knock at Sonny's door, and it was Ric, which didn't instill any confidence in Carly, given their twisted past.

Carly asked what Ric was doing there, and she was vehemently against Ric being involved in the search for Jason. Ric understood Carly's apprehension about working with him. However, that wasn't what she wanted to hear. Carly refused to deal with Ric, especially since he'd done heinous things to her and Sonny in the past.

Carly asked if Jason could rely on Ric to do the right thing. Ric vowed to do whatever it took to help locate Jason. Carly agreed to back off if Sonny truly believed that Ric could assist Jason. She promised to do the same, and she left, seemingly to speak with Jack.

Sonny told his brother that he trusted him to fix the situation with Jason. Ric wasn't sure if it was a true possibility. He explained that the WSB was well within their rights to do what they did to Jason. Sonny believed he had information that could change the course of the investigation since Cullum was a double agent.

Cullum tried to kill Sonny twice, and he was behind the fire that left Michael with severe burns. Sonny explained that Cullum was working with Sidwell, but Ric was left confused about why Sonny hadn't taken either of them out yet. Sonny revealed that Sidwell fabricated evidence tying him to a murder that he didn't commit.

Ric asked who the victim was, but the person involved would be placed in a horrible predicament if the truth got out. Sonny wanted to move against Cullum, who didn't know what had happened, but he didn't know how Jason ended up not killing him.

Ric figured that Jason might've still shot Cullum, since that was the original intention. However, Sonny didn't think Jason would have ever made such a sloppy mistake. Sonny knew that Ric had different ways of doing things than Jason, but he needed Ric to be himself and help him destroy Sidwell and Cullum.

This was a monumental risk, so he understood if Ric would want to walk away. If Cullum lived, Ric vowed not to go anywhere. He extended his hand to Sonny, essentially stating that he was all in.

Lulu called GH to get an update on Cullum, using her position as press to get information. They refused to give her any answers, but Nathan showed up at her front door, and she asked if there was news. He asked if they were alone, and besides Rocco being upstairs, they were.

Lulu informed Nathan about how shaken up Rocco was. Elizabeth was the only person who witnessed Rocco at the hospital, so there was no chance the secret would get out. Nathan asked whether Rocco had divulged anything about what happened on the pier, and she confirmed that her son had confessed everything.

Nathan hadn't actually witnessed Rocco firing the gun, so it was different to hear it out loud. Lulu filled Nathan in on the details of what fully took place. Rocco believed that Britt was in danger, and he shot Cullum to protect her and Jason from harm.

Lulu thought that Rocco shouldn't be in any jeopardy since it was a case of self-defense. Unfortunately, Nathan explained to Lulu that without any concrete proof to back up those claims, it was just Rocco's word. He urged Lulu to ensure Rocco kept quiet.

Nathan explained that Jason didn't fight back as the WSB hauled him away, and that Britt openly stated that Jason shot Cullum. Jason was willing to go down for something that Rocco did. Lulu was horrified that Jason might spend the rest of his life in a windowless cell, with no contact with the outside world.

Tracy thanked Alexis for filling her in on what happened with Jason. She appreciated that Alexis stepped in to fight for his basic human rights. Tracy asked to take Danny home, but Alexis informed her that Jason had made her Danny's legal guardian.

Tracy wondered how Alexis knew what Jason's wishes were. Alexis explained that as Jason was being hauled away, he told her himself. Tracy couldn't believe that Jason was taken away. This shouldn't have come as a surprise to her due to Jason's choice of profession, but she was still caught off guard.

Alexis assured Tracy that Jason wasn't physically injured, but he was petrified for his son. Tracy believed that Jason made a major mistake by ripping him out of his home to live with Alexis. Tracy pondered if Jason actually named her as the guardian, since she only had Alexis's word to go off of.

Tracy pointed out that Scout could come to her home, so Alexis's reasoning regarding Danny being in her home was a moot point. Alexis countered and said that since Willow wasn't welcome at the Q mansion, it made things far more complicated.

Tracy said she could fight Alexis about it. Alexis stated that while she could, would that really be what's best for Danny? There was a knock at the door, and it was Carly, asking for a moment of Alexis's time.

Carly realized she was walking in on something, but she entered the home regardless. Carly was there on Jason's behalf and asked for an update on what was happening with Danny. Tracy assumed that Carly would want to throw her hat into the ring for who got custody of Danny.

Carly denied that being the case, but she did offer to take him in if it were too much for Tracy or Alexis. Both women assured her that it wouldn't be necessary, and Tracy conceded and revealed that Danny would stay with his grandmother.

Carly cautioned Alexis against implementing too many rules for Danny. She was worried that Alexis would drive Danny toward danger. Carly compared Alexis ' potential actions to what Alan and Monica did to Jason, which essentially drove him to Sonny.

Ava returned home and found Lucas on the couch, completely devastated about Marco's death. She assured him that she would do everything in her power to keep him motivated. Lucas admitted that he didn't get much sleep after everything that transpired.

Lucas kept replaying his final conversation with Marco, and now all of their future plans were a thing of the past. They were in the best place they'd ever been in, and it was taken away from them in an instant. There was complete honesty between Lucas and Marco, but none of it mattered. Marco was dead, and their future was no more.

Lucas recalled that it was in Ava's apartment where Marco first asked him to move in together. It felt too soon at the time, but Marco was convincing. Lucas confessed that Marco would've done anything for him. There were no wasted moments between the pair. However, Lucas was filled with regret.

Lucas blamed himself for Marco's murder. Ava said that although Marco's death was tragic, the only person responsible was whomever wielding the knife. She begged Lucas to allow himself time to properly grieve. Lucas informed Ava that Dante wanted him to come down to the station to answer questions, and he was prepared to name Sidwell as a person of interest to speak with.

At the PCPD, Dante requested that every piece of evidence from Cullum's shooting be boxed and filed. He wanted to keep everything. Even if the WSB demanded it, he was fine with them taking it to court against Justine.

Sidwell approached Dante and asked if they had found the monster that murdered his son. Dante offered his condolences about Marco's death. However, that wasn't enough for Sidwell. He demanded to know who would've been responsible for his son's death. Sidwell pointed the finger at Sonny as a potential culprit.

Sidwell reminded Dante that Sonny kidnapped Marco after Natalia died. However, Dante stated that Marco himself denied being abducted by Sonny. Since there was no proof tying Sonny to the crime, Dante's hands were tied.

Danted wanted Sidwell to remain focused on the fact that Marco was stabbed in his office. The offices belonged to Sonny's attorney, and Dante didn't believe that his father would risk doing anything to jeopardize that. Sidwell demanded that Dante recuse himself from the investigation, but Dante fought back. He told Sidwell not to tell him how to run his department.

Dante was aware that Sidwell had a long list of enemies, so narrowing it down to Sonny was a gross injustice for Marco. He asked if there was anyone else besides Sonny who would attack Marco to get to him.

Lucas arrived at the PCPD as Sidwell was leaving, and Sidwell gave Lucas the greatest, warmest hug ever. Sidwell thanked Lucas for loving his son and hoped Lucas would return to Wyndemere, stating that it would always be his home.

Josslyn pounded on Britt's office door and refused to leave until she got some answers. Britt believed that Josslyn should have more answers than she would have. Josslyn wanted to know everything that occurred, so she could do her best to help Jason out of the mess.

Josslyn told Britt to stop being vague about what took place, and she needed full transparency. Since Jason trusted both of them, she needed Britt to trust her. Britt agreed to help Josslyn with whatever she needed, but the cooperation needed to work both ways.

Britt recounted how she was on the pier meeting with Lucas, since Marco got his hands on the necessary medication. Josslyn was stunned to learn that Lucas and Marco were working against Sidwlel, but once Britt was alone, Cullum tracked her to the pier.

Cullum wanted to kill Britt, which confused Josslyn. She became disposable to the project, and the clock was ticking. However, her plan would only have worked if she and Jason had managed to successfully escape. Since that didn't happen, Cullum would undoubtedly target her if he survived.

Josslyn asked Britt why she named Jason as the shooter if she cared about him. Britt said that Jason told her to do it. Britt admitted she never saw Jason pull the trigger. Jason demanded that she tell the police that he was responsible for the bullet in Cullum's back.

Josslyn assumed that Cullum was the person who murdered Marco. Cullum killed his partner's son, and Josslyn figured they could use that information against him. Britt called Cullum a monster, and she was worried that he'd target both of them. Since Cullum was still unconscious in the ICU, Josslyn suggested that Britt use her status as a doctor to take him out.

Sidwell stopped by Ava's apartment after leaving the PCPD, and she was happy to see him. Ava touted Marco as a remarkable man, and Sidwell broke down on the couch about his son's death. Ava had lost a child before, so she understood the gravity of the situation.

Sidwell hated that someone stabbed his son so viciously and left him for dead on the office floor. There was no regard for human life, and it was as vicious as it comes. Sidwell questioned whether it was his fault that Marco was murdered.
