On General Hospital, Dante has promised his son, Rocco, that he will protect him from facing the consequences of shooting Cullum because he did it to save the lives of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). To that end, Dante has destroyed the evidence that Cullum was looking for and stalled Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) when he came to the PCPD looking for it.

The storyline has required a lot from Dominic Zamprogna, who plays Dante, and Finn Carr, who plays Rocco. Zamprogna is impressed with his TV son's skills.

Dante is in a tough spot

Zamprogna realized how good Carr was when Dante was shot in 2024 and comatose in a hospital bed. His scenes with Carr there left a lasting impression on the GH veteran, he told Soap Opera Digest.

Zamprogna noted that he relies on his scene partners to bring out his best performance on set and uses the chemistry between them. “I really rely on my fellow actors in a scene to achieve what I’m hoping to achieve in my performance," Zamprogna says. "I’m not really good if the other actor is phoning it in, if they’re not as invested.”

Zamprogna didn’t have that problem with Carr, saying that his young co-star came into the hospital room in tears and feeling Rocco’s trauma at seeing his dad fight for his life. Zamprogna was impressed with how in the moment Carr was. “It was really cool. I was like, ‘Wow!’ I still think about that two years later,” Zamprogna enthused.

Dante and Rocco have a lot of issues to work through know that Dante knows the truth about Cullum’s shooting. Zamprogna knows he has a great scene partner to play this out. “It’s really easy to play this stuff with him because it feels like our connection is automatic. He’s a really soulful guy, and I feel like we’re putting some good stuff out there.”

Carr shared the SOD article and replied to it on his X (formerly Twitter) account with lots of praise for his TV dad, saying, "Dom is genuinely one of the coolest, kindest people I’ve ever worked with," Carr posted. "From the moment we met, our connection was instant, and that chemistry makes every scene feel effortless. He’s an incredibly generous scene partner and such a grounded, talented actor!"

Zamprogna also gave a shoutout to several other teen actors on the show, noting how talented and skilled they are. Watch for more scenes between these two as Cullum (Andrew Speakes) grows determined to find out who is responsible for shooting him.
