On General Hospital, Ross Cullum, played by Andrew Hawkes, has just shown his truly cold and ruthless side after stabbing and killing Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and trying to kill Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Now that his storyline is truly heating up on GH, Hawkes has joined the social media world, setting up an Instagram account. He's letting the world know he's not like his on-screen alter-ego at all! General Hospital's Andrew Hawkes is not a killer in real lifeAndrew Hawkes on General Hospital | Image: ABCHawkes's first post was a video of him sitting in a bed with his dog. The dog, a large breed, was licking his face while Hawkes spoke, with the actor showing broad smiles and joy that we’ve never seen from the murderous WSB director. Hawkes was also wearing glasses with his hair messed up, unlike the strait-laced and buttoned-up Cullum.Hawkes captioned the post, “Director Ross Cullum on General Hospital … off duty looks a little different.”In the video, he said, “I want you to know that, yes, Cullum is a terrible person, but he loves dogs.”Several fans found the new account and commented on his work. Some shared their surprise at his real personality. The Instagram user gap908 said, “I didn’t recognize him with such a great smile,” adding a laughing emoji and three clapping emojis. Another fan, debnormie, added, “Hate the character because you’re scary, but that is a compliment, and the fact that you love dogs makes you an awesome person!”“Wow! I didn’t even recognize you! You are an excellent bad guy!!” added nantrent. In the clip, he defends soap opera acting against people who thumb their noses at it. He challenged Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme) to master scenes on four days’ notice.GH's Cullum isn't Hawkes' first role. He played an unnamed thief on The Young and the Restless in 2014. Right before coming to General Hospital, he guest-starred on an episode of the ABC primetime series The Rookie. He has guest-starred on several well-known primetime series such as Party of Five, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, 24, ER, JAG, Without A Trace, CSI, NCIS, Dexter, Community, Number3rs and Chicago PD. He stars in the upcoming feature film Finding Faith, which will debut this spring. He also has a lengthy career in theater, performing in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Israel. As of March 25, we don't know if Cullum will live or die, but it's fun to see that his portrayer is nothing like him! If he does survive, he may spill the beans that it wasn't Jason who shot him. Or he may choose to sit on that secret, as he likely doesn't know who his assailant is as of now.
