On General Hospital, There has been many brawls, fights and good 'ol swing-to's that have gotten out of control. Here are, as voted by you, the viewer, are the top three fistfights in our beloved Port Charles.
General Hospital: Top 3 Fan-Rated Fist Fights
Sonny Corinthos vs. Jasper "Jax" Jacks (The Metro Court Fight)

This rivalry spanned decades. They were several confrontations but the physical clash at the Metro Court is frequently cited on X as being the greatest GH brawl. I love it when the show stops being polite and they just let these two cast icons go at it. I have been wanting to see more raw energy like this lately, because the brutal animosity between them was fueled by their mutual love for Carly (Laura Wright) and it made every punch feel earned and all the more personal.
I type this with total nostalgia for the way Maurice Benard and Ingo Rademacher brought that scene to life. This has been consistently at the top of many lists, and therefore the top of this one.
AJ Quartermaine (then Sean Kanan) vs. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) (The Docks)

The battle for Michael’s (then Chad Duell) paternity provided years of ammo. I love it when the class difference between the Quartermaines and the Corinthos mob is stripped away, leaving only two quite desperate men and fathers fighting for a son on the cold, dark docks. I have been wanting to see Michael (Rory Gibson) tap into that AJ-level desperation in his current situation with Chase (Josh Swickard), and I type this thinking about how that absolute gem of soap-opera conflict set the bar for every brawl and scrap that followed. Sean Kanan, Karate's Bad Boy can now be seen on CBS The Bold and the Beautiful as Deacon Sharpe. Equally fiesty and his scene with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) was another beaut, and has been replayed many times.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) vs. Franco (Roger Howarth) (The Penthouse Showdown)

The intensity of the feud between the "Stone Cold" enforcer and the eccentric artist led to one of the most memorable penthouse fights in the show’s modern era. I love it when the show plays with different fighting styles, and I have been wanting to see another clash as unique as Steve Burton’s calculated movements versus Franco’s unpredictable nature. I type this because it wasn't just a brawl; it was a clash of two very different types of darkness that changed the show forever. And speaking of darkness, Roger Howarths portrayal of Matt Clark on CBS The Young and the Restless this year was simply unrivalled.
Whats About to Happen On General Hospital

Does anyone else think that there is tension between Michael and Chase? LOL, it has reached a point where not only is a fight imminent but there will be a fan riot if it doesn't. Michael is now fully aware that Chase was responsible for planting Drew’s house key on his personal ring, and that is a betrayal that cuts deep, given their history and the way they used to be like brothers. With Chase living in the house that Michael owns being just another betrayal to add to the list.
As he heads back from the police station and a timely rescue by Ric, the air will be thick with animosity. Brook Lynn is going to be caught in the crossfire as Michael will accuse the detective of a setup, and the verbal sparring we just know is going to happen will hopefully quickly devolve into the physical altercation that has been brewing for months.
Honorable Mention: Michael vs. Harrison Chase

Ok, while the punches haven’t yet started flying, this confrontation feels like a long time coming and it's about to get real for Chase. Consequences and repercussions baby. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. On several Facebook fan groups and across X, viewers have been predicting this exact moment because the consensus among the audience is that Michael has been holding back for far too long, and I type this knowing that fans have been begging to see Michael "smack the taste out of Chase’s mouth" to finally assert his Corinthos lineage.
As the week of February 23 continues, Port Charles remains in a state of near eruption. Michael’s lashing out is going to have a lot of fans very happy. It feels so satisfying when you can see the whole picture at home and you just want the antagonist to get the beat-down they deserve. It's coming, and I, am here for it!
