GH Recap August 12: Michael Finally Learns That Willow Shot Drew

On the Wednesday, August 12, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Kai and Trina spilled the beans as Willow got too cocky once again. Plus, Sonny had news for Ric, and the jury reached a verdict.

Rocco dropped by Sonny's because he needed someone to talk to. Charlotte was moving in with Valentin and this bothered him. He felt that Lulu only allowed this to protect him since he and Charlotte had been arguing lately. "Grandpa, do you think I rely on my parents too much to solve my problems?" he asked.

Sonny sat Rocco down and explained that parents and children are always supposed to be there for each other, even when the kids are grown. "That's what families do," Sonny said. He also asked Rocco to remember that he had just been through a traumatic experience. He and his parents would take a while to get over it.

Rocco insisted that he had screwed up, but Sonny reminded him of the lives he saved when he shot Cullum. Rocco admitted that Charlotte's move was a relief. He just knew it was hurting his mother.

After Rocco left, Ric arrived to give Sonny the news about Sidwell's plea deal and the assets that were up for auction. Sonny had his eyes on some of the companies, but learned he might have some competition from Drew. Sonny feared that Drew would make things personal.

Ric was surprised when Sonny told him that Sidwell's assets could help move his business in a more legit direction. Finally, Sonny came out with it. He told Ric that Jason had quit. This news sent panic through Ric. Like Dante, he wanted Sonny to have protection. So, Sonny dropped his second piece of news. He also planned to quit. "Good for you, Sonny," was all Ric could say.

Sonny needed one thing from Ric. He needed him to fill the Jason honesty role. Whether Sonny wanted to hear it or not, Ric had to always be straight with him. "So, what's going to be the best way to get everything that I want and for Drew to get nothing?" he asked.

Drew's Still Drew

Drew found Scout at the Metro Court pool and asked how she was doing since she was quiet when he had dropped her off. "Maybe you thought I didn't even hear what you wanted to say," Drew mused. "You don't," an angry Scout said. She repeated that she wanted to spend time with Danny, but Drew refused to budge.

"He's always looked out for me, especially since Mom died," Scout said. Drew understood, but still couldn't abide by Danny's reckless behavior. "It's not like I hate him for it. In fact, I feel sorry for him because he's got a father that doesn't love him enough," Drew accused.

Drew ranted on and on about the horrors of Danny without even noticing the tears streaming down his daughter's cheek. Scout said she understood, but she seemed to just be trying to appease her father.

Later, Drew met with Marty to discuss Sidwell's assets. He especially wanted the piers so that Sonny couldn't have them. "The best thing for everyone would be if Sonny decided to leave town, but he is too stupid to do that. I am going to do everything to marginalize him," Drew declared.

Back at the pool, Rocco handed Scout a towel. They sat down and discussed the Drew and Danny situation. Scout said that she told her dad what he wanted to hear, even though she didn't agree with him. Scout was just frustrated with life. She was tired of having a babysitter and her dad had recovered and gone right back to neglecting her.

"I wish I was more like Charlotte and Danny. They don't let anyone stop them from doing what they want," Scout sighed. "That's because they're selfish," Rocco admitted.

Jordan held court at the Metro Court Gardens as Curtis became her next meal companion. "I just had a very interesting meeting with Valentin Cassadine," she said. "He mentioned that he helped you save my life." Jordan understood why Curtis hadn't told her, as he mentioned the trauma they had gone through. "I just hope the jury rules in my favor," Curtis said.

Curtis changed the subject and asked what Valentin had wanted. Jordan explained that he wanted information about Sidwell's holdings to acquire some of them for himself. She had even offered herself to Valentin as a paid consultant. "If I play my cards right, I can end up with an even better job than I had with Sidwell," Jordan mused. Then, they moved on to waiting for the jury to deliberate.

At Portia's house, Isaiah had some good news for Portia. The latest MRI on his hand had shown marked improvement. There was hope that he would one day be able to perform surgery again. It would take a lot of work, but Isaiah believed he could return to the operating room.

Portia was relieved because she blamed herself for what happened. Curtis only punched Isaiah because of his involvement with her. "Ever since I dragged you into this domestic disaster, I feel like your life has just been one crisis after another," she said.

They knew they just had to wait for the jury to return. "If Curtis is convicted, it'll destroy Trina," Portia noted. She also worried that Curtis might want to change the custody agreement. As they discussed what came next, Isaiah and Curtis separately got calls that the jury had reached a verdict.

Willow Goes to War

In the Q kitchen, Gio listened in as Michael tried to explain what had happened the night before. Gio felt uncomfortable and tried to walk away, but Willow wanted him as a witness. "Michael had his girlfriend drug me and I can prove it," Willow declared, much to Gio's shock.

Michael and Willow argued back and forth with Gio standing in the middle. He finally stopped them and said he had to go meet Trina at Bobbie's and ran out of there. Michael asked Willow if she wanted to go back to court and tell the judge that she was on drugs. Willow reminded him that Jacinda spiked her coffee — coffee that Wiley nearly drank.

Michael tried to reason with Willow and even offered her the kids for the rest of the week. He thought they both needed to take a step back and think logically. Michael reminded Willow of when they were kind to each other the night before and how she missed when they were friends. "Last night, you told the kids that all four of us could go on a trip together. I will never forget the look on Wiley's face. He was so happy. That made me realize how hard this has been on our son," Michael said.

Willow admitted that she had no idea if Michael was being sincere; that was how little she trusted him. So, Michael told her to take the kids as a gesture of good faith.

The Truth is Out There

At Bobbie's, Trina told Kai she wasn't in the mood for a beach party. She was still worried about her parents. In fact, she seemed to be in a panic because she was determined not to think about this, but she couldn't help it. She broke down crying at the thought of Curtis going to prison.

After Trina had calmed down, a frantic Gio walked in and told them about the scene at the Q mansion between Willow and Michael. "Willow threatened Michael would never see his kids again," Gio said, alarming Kai and Trina, who knew a way to get Michael out of this mess.

Meanwhile, Willow returned home to Nina's place alone to learn that Jacinda was MIA. Nina noted that she wouldn't have to pay for drugging Willow, but Willow didn't care. Michael was in trouble and knew it, she believed. "He caved," Willow said. "Michael's just a realist and he knows when he's been beaten."

Nina still tried to talk sense into Willow. "If you don't keep lasting peace with Michael, things are going to escalate until something truly tragic happens," Nina warned. Willow claimed that Michael had nothing left to use against her.

Back at the Q kitchen, Trina and Kai came running in. Trina got right to the point and asked if Michael had drugged Willow. Michael denied the accusation, so Trina told Michael they could help him stop Willow from taking the kids. Michael asked if Kai had seen Willow neglecting the kids. "This isn't about what the kids. This is about what Willow did to Drew," Trina said, confusing Michael more.

Then, Kai just said what Michael had been wanting to hear for nearly a year. "Willow shot Drew," he said. "And we know she did. Because we were there," Trina added. Michael listened in disbelief as Kai and Trina explained the events of that night, including hearing the ringtone. They told Michael that they were ready to go public with this info, but Michael knew a better way to do things.
