GH Recap August 14: Willow's Moving In, Jason and Sonny Drop Bombs, Four Teens Make Disastrous Plans

On the Friday, August 14, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Tracy got a big surprise, as did Justine and Carly. And Drew is about to get an even bigger surprise.

What Would Monica Do?

Tracy found Michael in the Q kitchen to ask him why there's a moving truck by the gate. "Well, I asked Willow to move into the gatehouse, with your permission, of course," Michael said. "Permission denied," Tracy promptly replied with a big, bright smile.

As Tracy gave Michael all the reasons why she couldn't stomach Willow on her property, Michael told her that Willow felt the same way about Tracy. He finally explained to his aunt that he had something on Willow and she would be under his control. Tracy told him to just sue for full custody and be done, but Michael still wanted the kids to have a relationship with their mother.

While Tracy acknowledged this would be best for Wiley and Amelia, she worried what it would do to Brook Lynn. She feared that Brook Lynn and Chase would move out if Willow moved in. Michael insisted there was no need for that, but Tracy didn't buy it. "Just use what you have against her and then get her out of our lives," Tracy demanded.

When Tracy told Michael she refused to have Willow live there, he pulled the Monica card and asked if that's what his grandmother would do. That seemed to do the trick, so Willow was moving in.

Trouble for Charlotte and Danny

Charlotte met up with Danny at the boathouse. He explained he had the day off because Scout needed to swim laps, so he couldn't be at the Metro Court pool. "Rocco can see my sister, but I can't," Danny lamented.

Danny still wanted to try to get through to Drew, but Charlotte told him not to bother because he had already made up his mind. Charlotte understood because her mom hated her dad, but she understood her dad had done some things to justify Lulu's feelings.

She also made sure Danny understood that this wasn't about him. Drew hated Jason and that's why he was doing this. "When Drew goes low, you go lower," she advised. They decided they'd gather blackmail material on Drew or at least make something up. Danny worried they would hurt Scout, but Charlotte convinced him anyway.

Alexis Gets Help

Drew sat down with Alexis at the Metro Court Gardens. Alexis remained cordial as she asked Drew to work out an arrangement in which Scout could see her mom's family. Drew refused to even talk about it. When Alexis told him to think about his daughter's desire to be with her mother's family, Drew had the audacity to tell Alexis not to keep invoking her dead daughter's name.

Alexis still attempted to reason with Drew. "Isn't there a part of you that is somewhat relieved that we were able to take care of her while you were incapacitated?" Alexis asked. "No, not at all," Drew replied, much to Alexis' frustration.

Drew brought up how painful it was to see Scout in the ER. Alexis reminded Drew that she had only sprained her ankle, but to Drew, that was proof that she hadn't been well-taken care of. Drew also accused Alexis of speaking badly of him to Scout, an accusation that Alexis denied.

Jack walked by and stopped when he heard Alexis begging to meet her halfway. "It just makes no sense to me that the ex-congressman would be so unfriendly. A man in Drew's position couldn't afford to make any more enemies," Jack said. Drew knew that Jack had him, but still argued before hobbling away to get Scout at the pool.

"I don't suppose you'd consider sharing whatever it is you have on him?" Alexis asked. Jack said that depended on her, which intrigued Alexis. She quickly told him that she didn't have any information on Valentin, but was surprised that Jack was more interested in work she had done for Jax.

Sneaking Around

At the pool, Rocco handed Scout a towel as she got out of the pool. She looked around nervously and asked if Drew was there. "Does he have a problem with me now, too?" Rocco asked. Scout didn't think he did, but she wasn't sure. Then, she told Rocco a secret that he could never tell anyone.

"My life was so much easier when my dad was in a wheelchair," she said, in tears. Rocco understood that Scout had just wanted her freedom, but Scout said it was more than that. She loved living with her mom's family, but she didn't like living with just her dad. "Being with them made me feel close to my mom," Scout said.

Rocco said he'd keep his distance if it made Drew upset, but Scout said that Rocco was the only person she could talk to. Rocco had a solution for Scout. "You make your father think you're following his rules and then you do what you want," he said. So, they made plans to sneak around so they could just talk and hang out.

ELQ for You?

In Carly's kitchen, Jason detailed how he fixed her lawn mower while he washed his hands wearing a button-down shirt with a collar. Carly thanked Jason, knowing he must be busy. Jason said, " Nope, he has time on his hands now because he quit his job. He might even open his own garage. But Carly wanted to talk about the "quit working for Sonny" part.

They sat down so Jason could explain his decision. He told Carly the same thing he had told Sonny and Tracy. He realized he'd led his life in such a way that it hurt his son and he didn't want to do that anymore. "Jason, you made the right decision," Carly assured. "I just finally realized all those risks...ALL the risks that I took for Sonny. I just can't justify taking them anymore," Jason said.

Jason even felt he was the one who pushed Carly toward Sonny. She said she made the choice to marry and have children with him, so those decisions were on her. Jason still thought pressuring her to stay one too many times was wrong.

As they talked some more, Jason said he wasn't sure what he was going to do with his life, so Carly suggested he work for ELQ, which would be...Alan and Monica's dream come true? Also, Edward and Lila's.

Grandpa Sneaks Around Too

Sonny welcomed Justine to the apartment above Charlie's. She immediately asked Sonny if Sidwell would even survive his Pentonville sentence. She was worried that Sonny would have Sidwell killed. Sonny was insulted that she would even ask such a thing.

Justine worried that suspicion would fall on Sonny if something happened to Sidwell, which would then put her in an awkward position. "It could ruin what we have," she said. "You have my word that if anything happens to Sidwell, I had nothing to do with it," Sonny promised, before dropping the bomb. "From now on, I am a full-time coffee importer. Nothing else."

Like the rest of us, Justine wondered how that would even work. "So, you're telling me after decades of controlling all criminal enterprises in Port Charles, you can just flip a switch?" she asked. "Allegedly controlled," Sonny reminded.

Sonny told Justine that he had hoped to acquire Sidwell's properties and legitimate businesses. Justine pointed out to Sonny that he can't rewrite his history. Some of his crimes hadn't even aged out of the statute of limitations yet. Plus, there was no statute of limitations for murder. Justine also worried about who might come after Sonny.

"You may always be seen as Sonny Corinthos, Mob Boss," she said. So Sonny asked if that was how she saw him. "Are you going to have a problem being seen in public with me as Sonny Corinthos, upstanding citizen?" he asked. Justine had to be very honest with Sonny. His decision changed nothing and her office could still prosecute him one day if evidence appeared.

"The only way this works for me is we continue to keep it a secret," she said. She was not about to compromise herself or her career. Justine was pleased that Sonny was still willing to keep their relationship a secret.
