GH Recap August 21: Curtis Checks Into Pentonville as Sidwell Gives Sonny an Ominous Warning

On the Friday, August 21, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Curtis said goodbye to Jordan and his children, Drew extended multiple olive branches, Danny and Charlotte plotted, and Sidwell and Sonny met at Pentonville.

Family Bonding

In her office, Laura gave Rocco instructions on how to take care of her place while she was visiting Ace and Kevin in Ireland. Rocco was grateful for extra cash in case Drew got his hours changed at the pool. Laura wondered why he would do that. Rocco said it was about Scout. He feared Drew would have an issue with him seeing her.

Laura figured since Rocco wasn't directly going against Drew's wishes, that it was fine. Rocco claimed he was also just trying to stay off Drew's radar. Laura warned Rocco not to defy Drew because he could be vindictive.

After Rocco left, Lulu stopped by so they could talk about Laura's trip. It had been six months since she had seen Kevin. She just wanted Kevin home. "I want my husband by my side," she said. Lulu marvelled at how lucky Laura was to have two great loves. She didn't see much hope for herself.

Teens Scheme

Danny approached Scout in the Q boathouse, worried something was wrong. She said she texted because she had wanted to hang out with her brother, but Danny worried about getting caught. Scout wasn't worried. She could just tell her dad that she was training in the lake.

When Danny went off on Drew and called him a "psycho," Scout grew angry and told him not to talk that way about her father. She didn't like lying to him, but she wouldn't tolerate that and ran off. Danny found her outside and apologized. Scout was distraught because she was torn between her brother and her dad. They decided that Scout was going to practice for a bit and then they would play video games.

While Scout was in the water, Charlotte arrived. She and Danny discussed the situation between Scout and Drew. They went over their plans for creating blackmail material against Drew. Danny reasoned that "the guy can't keep it in his pants," so Charlotte decided to cook up a sex scandal. "Why are you guys trying to frame Drew?" Rocco asked, as he overheard the whole thing.

They told him their reasoning, but Rocco still didn't like it, warning that their plan would backfire in their face. "Danny, I know it's hard for you, but just once in your life, be patient," Rocco urged. Surprisingly, Charlotte took Rocco's side, but told them to change the subject because Scout was almost back from her swim.

When Scout and Rocco went back to the main house, Charlotte and Danny returned to planning. Valentin was right that his daughter was an expert liar.

Portia's Surprise

Drew walked up to Ava's table at the Metro Court pool without his cane and sat right down to join her until her breakfast companion arrived. Drew wanted to talk about Sidwell and Sonny, but Ava just wanted him to go. She told him that she was having breakfast with Portia and she couldn't have him interfere with her important friendships.

"I will choose them over you every single day of the week," she said. Drew claimed he only wanted to apologize to Portia. "I am trying to make amends with as many people as I could. As you mentioned, I have a long list of enemies," Drew said.

"What about Jack Brennan? Which list is he on?" Ava asked. Drew told her that Jack was on his "minorly annoying" list. "My first focus is on Sonny," Drew swore, insisting they could take Sonny down together.

"What an unpleasant surprise," Portia said when she arrived. Drew did as he said and offered Portia an olive branch. Portia didn't want to be his friend, but she was okay with a truce. "How about we just stay out of each other's way?" she suggested. Drew was fine with that.

After Drew walked away, Portia warned Ava to be careful partnering with Drew, even if they did have a common goal regarding Sonny.

Jordan Takes Charge

Curtis and Jordan lingered in bed until Curtis said they couldn't put it off any longer. He got out of bed and got ready to turn himself in. But Jordan stopped him, so they had one more morning of making love before Curtis left for Pentonville.

Later, Curtis and Jordan met with Michael in the Aurora office so Jordan could learn the details of her new job. Curtis said that he would leave them to do that alone, but Jordan wanted a moment with Curtis to say a tearful goodbye.

Drew's next stop was the Aurora office, where he told Michael and Jordan that he wanted to be more involved with the company he had founded. "I thought you and I could have a fresh start, especially since we were screwed over by the same conniving individual," Drew said. The Willow issue didn't mean anything to Michael, but Jordan was on Drew's side. Michael decided to give Drew a shot.

Back at Portia's house, Curtis said a tearful goodbye to both Desmond and Trina before heading to Pentonville.

Pentonville Players

At Pentonville, Sidwell was not surprised to see Sonny, as his enemy told him that beige was not his color. They discussed the day in Ava's gallery and how Justine was able to talk Sonny down. "She obviously has more sway with you than I thought," Sidwell noted.

He informed Sonny that his lawyers insisted he take the plea deal rather than risk a trial. Sonny told Sidwell that the case against him was airtight, so he'd have been convicted anyway. They then got serious about their sons. "You nearly killed my son with a firebomb," Sonny accused. Sidwell said that was all Cullum and he had nothing to do with it.

Sidwell implied that Sonny might cause an accident to cut his sentence short, but Sonny said Sidwell can sleep tight at night. "I am just going to be so content that you're behind bars rotting away," Sonny said. He told Sidwell that he was interested in acquiring some of his assets, but only the legal kind.

"I'm making changes with my business operations to make sure they comply with the law," he said, to which Sidwell could only guffaw. "I have discovered a new way of doing things, thanks to you," Sonny added. Before Sonny left, Sidwell warned him that their war was not over.
