On the Monday, August 24, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Willow proved she is not the same person who left the gatehouse with her tail between her legs two years ago. Plus, Josslyn got a new job, Ezra got a new job, and Valentin tried to get a new job.

'Mayor' Ezra

Anna and Justine arrived in Laura's office so the mayor could tell them that she was taking a leave of absence to visit Kevin and Ace in Ireland. Laura seemed nervous as she tried to explain who would replace her on more important city matters.

Justine and Anna were surprised to learn that Laura had chosen Ezra as her replacement. Laura had to do some smooth talking, but she convinced the ladies that Ezra was up for the job. "I believe in second chances. I mean, who among us hasn't been tested?" she asked.

When Ezra joined them, Laura made him promise that he would behave himself and work well with Laura and Justine. "Maybe in the mayor's absence, each of us could do the mayor a favor and finally bring down Sonny Corinthos," he said, to which each woman looked uncomfortable. After the other ladies had left, Laura took Ezra to task for his Sonny remark.

ELQ and the WSB

A silent Jason met up with Valentin at the Metro Court pool at Valentin's behest. Jason refused to shake Valentin's hand when he offered it. "Jason, we don't have to start in opposing corners. I think we should start with what we have in common," Valentin said. Carly watched the two men from behind.

Carly pulled up a chair to listen in on whatever was going on. Valentin told them both that he had wanted to return to work at ELQ. "That's one of the many reasons my family wants nothing to do with you," Jason said. He had no desire to hear Valentin out, but Carly convinced him, telling Jason that Valentin was trying to start his life over.

Valentin made his pitch, pointing out that he didn't think that Ned had been on his game since his heart attack because he was focusing on his health. Jason reminded Valentin that he'd need to convince a Q to sell him their shares, but they didn't trust him. "They don't, but they trust you," Carly said.

Valentin continued his pitch, telling Jason he was objective and could make a strong case for him. "Jason, I know I have a lot to prove, but I'm trying to build a life here. For my daughter," he said. He made sure Jason knew that helping ELQ remain successful would also benefit Jason's sons.

Anna soon spotted them and joined the trio at their table. Anna was surprised that they were discussing ELQ, so Carly mentioned that Josslyn had been gifted JJE but didn't want to leave the WSB. Carly came right out and asked Anna if she thought that the WSB was the right life for Josslyn.

Anna started to remember her time in Wyndemere's basement and started to visibly panic, knocking over a glass of water and alarming her friends. A flustered Anna quickly left, but Valentin went after her to make sure she was okay. Carly tried not to show Jason how bothered she was. "It's fine. Whatever happened, it's clear that Anna needs him right now," she said.

Valentin found Anna in the elevator, where she tried to catch her breath. "Anna, tell me the truth: what is happening with you?" Valentin asked.

Josslyn entered Jack's office to learn that her new assignment was to be the JJE CEO. Jack wasn't happy about it, but informed Josslyn that this came from the higher-ups and he had nothing to do with it. Josslyn was furious, but Jack told her that this assignment was bigger than both of them.

Jack offered Josslyn his theories on why she received this assignment. He felt that she'd be getting to know major power players across the globe. But they agreed his second theory was likely right. The WSB was targeting JJE and using her as a way in. Josslyn agreed to take the assignment and had to now lie that she wasn't working for the WSB.

Willow's Dirty Scheme

Willow put her feet up on the coffee table to relax when Tracy barged in and demanded that she take her feet off her coffee table. "I need to get something straight about you living here, for as long as that lasts," Tracy said. Willow asked Tracy to just respect that this was now her home, whether either of them liked it or not.

Tracy knew that Willow's new living arrangement was fine by Willow because it gave her access to Chase, which Willow denied. "Stay away from Chase and we won't have a problem," Tracy said, point blank. "What if I don't?" Willow asked, as if it was a dare. Tracy said she'd kick Willow out, but Willow countered that Michael had wanted her there.

Willow then invoked Monica's name, claiming that Wiley and Amelia were her great-grandchildren and she'd want them there. "And I'm their mother. She would not want them taken from me," Willow said. Then, Willow got serious: "Tracy, you should know, I'm not the same person I was when I lived here before...I don't think you have any idea what I'm capable of."

Tracy reminded Willow that she was her tenant and Michael held all the cards. "Not for long," Willow said to herself, after Tracy had gone. Jack was Willow's next visitor. He was incensed because she had blown of a WSB appropriations meeting. Willow said she would continue to do so until he gave her leverage against Michael.

Jack made sure Willow remembered that the only reason she was acquitted was because of her. "If anyone is giving orders around here, it's me and not you," he warned. After Jack left, Willow revealed that she had recorded their whole conversation, so she now had blackmail material against Jack.

Baby Time

Outside the Q boathouse, Hudson approached Brook Lynn and Phoebe. He claimed he was meeting Josslyn there, so Brook Lynn offered him some iced tea while he waited. She didn't notice how interested he was in her baby. When he started asking more casual questions, Brook Lynn didn't think much of it.

Tracy soon appeared, so Brook Lynn walked inside the boathouse to talk to Granny. When Josslyn finally arrived, she told Hudson she would accept the position as the new CEO of JJE.

Roomies

Lucas was Swiffering his new apartment floors with his AirPods in when he noticed the front doorknob jiggling. He picked up his mop as protection and opened the door to find Joe, who was moving in. The two men argued for a few minutes until they both realized that they had rented the same apartment.

They deduced that Lucas had rented the place first through the leasing office, which was why Lucy had trouble electronically submitting Joe's lease. Lucas said Joe could keep his stuff there until they figured things out. Lucas even offered to be roomies, temporarily, of course.

Is Jack turning out to be a buffoon of a WSB agent? Does Carly have reason to be jealous? Sound off in the comments.
