Guilty Conscience

Tracy found Brook Lynn in the Q kitchen making bottles and asked if the adoption was final. It was, but Brook Lynn was disappointed that Tracy wasn't there for the official signing. Tracy said she was too busy planning a trip Brook Lynn knew nothing about.

Brook Lynn balked at the idea of going to New York City for a few days when she had an infant at home, but Tracy insisted that Brook Lynn needed to get out of town. Brook Lynn realized that Tracy was trying to get her to leave due to Curtis' trial starting.

Tracy reminded Brook Lynn that she didn't even know there had been an accident when she drove off. And she certainly wasn't responsible for Curtis throwing that punch. That was all on Curtis and his temper. Brook Lynn still felt guilty, which to Tracy was all the more reason to get out of town now.

When Brook Lynn said that she was thinking of coming forward, Tracy reminded her of all the things she would lose if she did. She'd even lose Trina as a client and possibly ruin her and Gio's budding careers. Brook Lynn also feared what would happen if Chase learned she was keeping any more secrets.

Courtroom Drama

Marty found Molly in the courtroom as Curtis' trial was set to get underway. Molly was taking over the case while Justine was out of town. Molly assured Marty that she would disclose her conflict of interest to the jury for full disclosure. Marty suggested they call the whole trial off and make a deal.

Molly wasn't about to make any deal that didn't involve prison time, so Marty tried to reason with her, reminding Molly that everyone involved in this whole mess was family.

Outside the courtroom, Portia noted to Isaiah that Curtis was the one who caused all of this, just as Curtis and Jordan approached. Isaiah urged Curtis to take the plea deal and save them all a lot of trouble. After all, Curtis was guilty. Curtis took offense at that, as things almost came to blows. They only didn't because Joe and Lucas arrived to break things up.

When the foursome walked into the courtroom, Joe and Lucas made some small talk. Joe was there as the arresting officer, and Lucas was there as the ER doc on duty the night Curtis destroyed Isaiah's hand.

In the courtroom, Isaiah told Molly that he and Curtis nearly came to blows, which panicked Molly. She warned Isaiah to keep his cool because Marty was going to try to bait him during his testimony. A few feet away, Jordan asked Portia how Desmond was, before noting Desmond would be even better if his dad didn't end up behind bars.

Marty and Molly made their opening arguments, saying all the things we expected, before Lucas took the stand. Lucas detailed the extent of Isaiah's injuries. When Joe took the stand, he told the jury that he had heard Curtis say he had punched Isaiah because "he deserved it."

Portia took the stand next and told the jury that Isaiah had tried to leave that night, but Curtis stopped him. She also attested to the fact that Isaiah was a gifted surgeon who may never perform surgery again, all thanks to Curtis. Molly had Portia testify about the surgery Isaiah was set to perform on a little boy as proof that Isaiah's injury was more than just surface-level.

When Marty cross-examined, he asked Portia how long she was married to Curtis before sleeping with Isaiah.

Another Red Dress Wedding?

At Bobbie's, Lucy told Serena to get her sexiest swimsuit ready and work her magic on Michael at the Metro Court pool. She was to introduce herself to Michael and charm him. Lucy knew it wouldn't be very hard. "Michael can be very, very shrewd. You just have to be more shrewd," Lucy advised.

Thankfully, Lucy also considered her daughter's feelings and made sure she was okay with her assignment. Serena had no problem helping her mother get her hands on those Deception shares. When she left Bobbie's, Serena even said, "Ta." A few minutes later, Felicia took Serena's place at Bobbie's so Felicia could tell her that she wasn't a bad mother.

Felicia assured Lucy that she was a wonderful mother, but that was before Lucy blurted out that she'd asked Serena to flirt with Michael to get Maxie's Deception shares. Still, Felicia thought that Lucy was being too hard on herself. Suddenly, Lucy got the idea that Michael and Serena would be a perfect couple and was determined to make that happen.

"I always thought Serena would make a perfect Quartermaine. She could even wear my red dress," Lucy mused.

A Day at the Pool

At the pool, Michael kissed Jacinda just as Willow arrived with Wiley. When Michael and Wiley took a dip, Willow informed Jacinda that she was getting a divorce. She couldn't wait to tell Jacinda that she was going to make changes in the kids' custody arrangements and asked that Jacinda keep her distance from them.

Jacinda wasn't about to do that and asked Willow not to upset Wiley. "He'd be pretty devastated if I drowned his mother in the pool. But you know what they say, time heals all wounds," Jacinda quipped. After turning down a swim invite from a wet Wiley, Jacinda told Willow that she was choosing peace.

When Willow walked away and sat down on a lounge, Jack appeared. She asked him to please make an appointment to see her since she was with her son and didn't want work to interfere. Jack just scoffed and sat down. He put himself on the line for her and now he thought they should be allies.

Michael and Jacinda watched Willow and Jack's chat and wondered what they could be talking about. Michael felt Willow's choice to "cozy up" to the WSB was "on brand," but he worried that Jack might target Michael for Willow's sake. After Jacinda left, Michael continued to stare.

Jack mentioned Nina's call about Willow's plan to ask Anna to reopen the investigation into Drew's shooting. Willow was angry at Nina for blabbing, but Jack was angrier at Willow for pursuing this. What if Anna uncovered the traffic cam evidence? Willow didn't care. She got up, got Wiley out of the pool, and went about her life as if nothing could touch her.

After Wiley told his dad goodbye, Michael jumped in the pool. Serena spotted him and headed in that direction. However, she slipped on some water and fell straight into Jack's arms first.

Ava's Bizarre Question

Ava ran into Sonny's house to ask him what was so urgent that she had to come over right away. "Why did you drive Ethan out of town?" Sonny asked. Ava insisted that she had nothing to do with Ethan's disappearance. They were enjoying a day at the pool and then he vanished into thin air.

That was precisely why Sonny was sure she was responsible. "I warned him not to get mixed up with you," Sonny said. "What kind of trouble did you get Ethan into?" Ava still insisted she had done nothing to Ethan. However, he did call her to say he was gone and not coming back. Ava left out the part about the baby.

Sonny seemed to believe Ava and made sure that she knew that Ethan wasn't running from him. Ava wasn't so sure and implied that Sonny may have asked too much of Ethan. Ava then shocked Sonny by telling him that Drew was up and about and could start targeting Michael again. "Did you ask Ethan to kill Drew?" Ava asked, completely out of left field. Sonny assured Ava that he did not ask Ethan to kill Drew.

Is Lucy a bad mother? Is Curtis a bad father? Sound off in the comments.
