On the Thursday, July 2, 2026, episode of General Hospital, everything that could happen happened. We had mother-daughter reunions, ghosts, helicopters, shootouts, s'mores, and secret agents to the rescue. Buckle in for a wild ride.
Peter August? Hmmm...

Felicia entered Anna's hospital room as she paced with worry and told her friend that she was absolutely right about everything. When Anna heard the story, she asked if Cassius was in custody. Felicia said that Cody felt he had to let Cassius go for James' sake.
Felicia apologized to Anna for not believing her right away and thanked her because Anna's handiwork saved James. Anna asked Felicia to bring her doctor in to tell the story because maybe her doctor would finally believe she wasn't crazy.
Dr. Laurant arrived to hear the far-out story, which meant Anna hadn't been delusional at all. In fact, Dr. Laurant was so impressed with Anna's sanity that she declared she was well enough to go home. When the doctor left, Felicia was kicking herself for not seeing that something wasn't right with "Nathan" the whole time.
Felicia realized that the reason Maxie was so quick to stay with Spinelli was that her instincts knew this man wasn't Nathan. Anna felt that if Cassius was anything like the rest of his family, he had already disappeared without a trace.
Later, after Felicia left, Anna turned around to find Peter sitting in a chair. "Nicely done," he said, indicating that Anna might not be okay after all. Uh-oh.
Poor Little James

Cody brought James back to the stables, where Tracy was waiting to complain about a gate being left open. Cody gestured to Tracy that James was having some issues, so she knew to stop lamenting. Tracy asked James why he looked so sad, just before Molly arrived.
Molly tried to cheer James up with s'mores, but he didn't want any. He claimed he wasn't hungry, words the adults had never heard James say. They finally convinced James to show them the proper marshmallow-roasting technique. While James and Molly got to work, Cody told Tracy that Nathan was not Nathan. Cody thought it would be best if "Fake Nathan" just disappeared.
Inside, Molly managed to cheer James up by telling him that she didn't have her dad around much while growing up either, but she knew he loved her. Later, they all enjoyed some s'mores.
Ava Learns the Truth

Ava remained in a panic over Ethan's gunshot wound. In fact, she seemed more worried about it than he was. She told him he was losing too much blood to be walking around, but he was determined to find a way to stop Sidwell. As Ava searched for something to save themselves with, Ethan passed out on the floor.
Ava got Ethan back up on the table, but there was a pool of blood on the floor. She wrapped his wound again as Ethan grew delirious. When he lost consciousness once again, Ava tried to get help, but Ethan woke and asked her to stay with him. Ava tried to make Ethan feel better by saying that at least Ethan got to meet his daughter, so Ethan confessed that Phoebe wasn't his.
Sidwell Learns the Truth

In the gallery, Sonny showed Sidwell that he didn't have a gun, while Sidwell kept a gun trained on Justine. "I want to get away and I think you are just the man to help me do that," Jenz said.
Sonny offered to get a private plane for Sidwell, who wanted to take Justine as an insurance policy. Sonny offered himself as a hostage instead, noting that kidnapping a district attorney was a federal crime. Sidwell didn't much care at this point, plus he didn't have "the stomach to be anywhere near the man responsible for his son's death."
That prompted Sonny to tell Jenz that "Cullum killed your son." A confused Sidwell asked what reason Cullum would have to do this. Sonny told him that Lucas had convinced Marco to turn on him. "He was alone on the floor and it was all because of you," Sonny said, clearly unnerving Jenz.
Sidwell angrily turned the gun on Sonny as Justine ran. Sonny punched Sidwell a few times and got the upper hand with his gun. He was ready to shoot, but Justine stopped him. She told Sonny she would not cover it up if he shot and asked if he wanted his kids and grandkids to visit him in prison for the rest of his life.
With a single tear in his eye, Sonny dropped the gun just as the cops ran in. The police rescued Ava and Ethan, so Ava rode with Ethan to the hospital. Justine thanked Sonny for not making her prosecute him for murder before kissing him.
Navigating Wyndemere

In the bowels of Wyndemere, Josslyn kicked the goon in the stomach and slammed the door. Liesl then made sure he couldn't open it again. Josslyn started in on Liesl for finishing the device and ruining their only way out by shorting out the door. So, Liesl went to work to repair the wires.
In the living room, Carly grabbed a fire poker and took a swing at Cullum's other goon. Too bad she missed and started kicking to try to save herself. Before the goon could whack Carly with the fire poker, a gunshot rang out. Carly looked up to see Cassius standing there with a literal smoking gun.
Carly asked Cassius whose side he was on, but he was more concerned with stopping Cullum. He told Carly the code to the door so she could rescue Josslyn and Liesl herself. He handed Carly a gun and said, "Go save your daughter and my mom."
Carly made it down to the basement, where she could see Josslyn through the one-way window. She used the code, but the door didn't open. That's okay because Liesl got it open via her end. Josslyn and Carly were stunned to see one another.
Carly explained that Nathan helped her find them. Liesl knew Cassius would come to their rescue. Carly tried to stop Josslyn from running to the loading dock, but Josslyn grabbed Carly's gun and ran. Liesl quickly shut the door again. As Liesl explained their ordeal to Carly, she freaked out some more.
Shootout on the Docks

Over at Spoon Island's new super-duper loading dock that has room for a tractor-trailer, the WSB goons watched the device be loaded. Cullum warned his men that if the device wasn't secure, any damage could cause a catastrophic outcome.
As Cullum spoke on the phone, Cullum took a shot at him, alerting Cullum that there was trouble. A shootout ensued. As the goon whom Josslyn kicked nearly shot Cassius in the back, Josslyn shot him first. Joss hid behind some trash cans with Cassius and watched as Cullum got into the truck to drive it himself.
Josslyn ran to stop him and got shot point blank in the abdomen, so Cassius came out of hiding to help her. Cullum appeared with a gun and noted how easy it was to manipulate him. Cassius said he would do anything to protect his mother and sister. Cullum revealed that he wasn't really protecting Britt because she didn't have Huntington's Disease after all.
As we predicted, her diagnosis was purposely fabricated to force her to work on Faison's Final Project. They had convinced her that the drugs were saving her life when the symptoms were just psychosomatic. Cassius asked Cullum why he didn't just leave, so Cullum noted that he had just learned a WSB helicopter was on its way. Then, he shot Cassius in cold blood as Josslyn slithered down the dock to grab a gun.
Cullum taunted Cassius, telling him that he tried to save his sister but ended up killing her by sending poison. "Take comfort in the fact that she's probably dead by now," he said, just as Josslyn shot him point-blank in the chest, finishing the job for Rocco.
As Josslyn lay on the ground staring at the sky, a helicopter landed. A man with dark sunglasses and a British accent descended. He surveyed the scene, shot a goon, and told Josslyn he was there to help. It looks like Valentin finally found Z (or Zee?).
