GH Recap July 20: Teen Scout Plays Tracy, Brick Stuns Valentin, Carly Learns Jason Chose Danny Over Her

On the Monday, July 20, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Scout emerged from a self-proclained "growth spurt," Brick and Valentin got in a game of hoops, Lulu mad a confession, and Carly learned she's not number one anymore.

Jason's BACK?!?!?!

Carly welcomed Charlotte to her kitchen because the teen needed someone to talk to. However, she was surprised when Charlotte walked in with a small suitcase because she wanted to move in. Carly explained that Valentin was staying at the Metro Court, but Charlotte didn't care. She got into a fight with Lulu and wanted to stay with her cousin.

Carly tried to encourage Charlotte to work things out with her dad, but Charlotte refused to even think about it. She felt that Lulu wanted her to cut Valentin out of her life. "If I cut anyone out of my life, it's gonna be her," Charlotte declared.

Carly tried to reason with the teen, who claimed the only person who really understood her was Danny. "But I can't talk to him because he's on some trip with his dad," Charlotte said. That line stunned Carly, who still believed that Jason was at a WSB black site in Jakarta.

Carly could not even imagine that Jason would have returned home yesterday and not even told her. She searched her phone for texts and voicemails and found nothing. "And Jason didn't think that I needed to know about this?" Carly exclaimed after Charlotte told her about the father-son road trip.

Charlotte even showed Carly a selfie of father and son enjoying their bonding time. Carly acknowledged that Jason looked good, minus the cuts and bruises. Carly was a little butt-hurt, but finally admitted that it made sense that Jason would see his son first.

Rocco Did It

Ric and Sonny met with Lulu at Sonny's place to discuss Rocco's legal problems. The two men couldn't imagine why Lulu was so dire and serious. Ric promised attorney-client privilege, so Lulu came right out and told them that Jason never shot Cullum, but Rocco did.

All three sat down so Lulu could detail what really happened on Pier 55 that night back in March. Lulu was worried that the authorities would learn the truth soon, but Ric assured her that Rocco would be fine since the only two actual eyewitnesses would keep things to themselves.

Now that the Rocco problem was solved, Lulu moved on to lamenting about Charlotte and Valentin. Sonny and Lulu agreed he was a danger to kids. Ric found it fascinating that Carly was dating Valentin Cassadine. Sonny assured Lulu that if all went as planned, Valentin would leave town.

A Friendly Game and a Not-So-Friendly Warning

Brick found Valentin when he was getting in a game of basketball on a public court. Valentin thought he was just a man who wanted to give him basketball advice. When Brick told him to take the gift the WSB just gave him and leave town to start a new life, Valentin knew this wasn't an innocent encounter.

Brick admitted that he was friends with Sonny...and with Carly. Valentin claimed there was nothing about him that could scare Carly because she knew it was in his past. Brick reminded Valentin about all the enemies people like them have accumulated through the years.

Brick made a point of bringing up Valentin's habit of living a comfortable, legitimate life and then doing something stupid like running a diamond-smuggling ring just for the excitement of it. Valentin claimed that Carly and Charlotte were his incentive to change.

Valentin gave Brick a message for Sonny. He wasn't going anywhere and was going to build a life with Charlotte and Carly. Brick walked away, telling Valentin that the game wasn't over till it was over. He then tossed the ball backwards and landed a shot through the hoop without even looking, causing Valentin concern...

Scout Grows Up

Willow and a teenage SORAS'd Scout found Tracy in the Q stables. Tracy accused Willow of using Scout to get on the property. Willow left so Scout and Tracy could talk alone. Scout immediately acknowledged that Tracy really didn't like Willow and began to defend her. "She's always been kind to me," Scout pointed out.

Tracy reminded Scout that her issues with her father and stepmother had nothing to do with Scout. She was family. Scout was glad because she wanted to spend more time at Aunt Tracy's house over the summer.

Brook Lynn and Chase enjoyed their coffee in the Q solarium while Brook Lynn discussed Gio and Trina's recording contract. Chase was just glad to see how happy Brook Lynn was. She was all smiles because she and Chase had cleared the air about Willow.

When Brook Lynn left the room to talk with Lucy, Willow appeared, all surprised to see Chase in his own home. Willow immediately lamented how horrible Tracy had treated her before asking Chase to travel with her to DC.

She was attending a conference on local police practices, so she needed an expert with her. Willow was taken aback when Chase told her no. Willow tried to be understanding as Chase told her that he had agreed to prioritize family over her. She asked if Chase would prefer for her to keep her distance. Chase told her it wasn't personal, but he had to focus on Brook Lynn.

Brook Lynn found Tracy and Scout in the stables. Brook Lynn marveled at how grown-up Scout appeared. Scout mentioned that she'd finally had her growth spurt. It turned out Scout wanted use of the lake to train for a charity competition in the fall. Her dad taught her well, being that he was a Navy SEAL.

Tracy was touched that Scout was donating the money she raised to breast cancer research in honor of Grandma Monica. But Scout also wanted her dad to be able to watch her swim, so she needed Tracy to allow him onto the estate. Since Tracy could never say no to a kid, she agreed.

The Morning After for Nina and Jack

Nina woke up in Jack's Metro Court room while he showered, but only had to briefly wonder how she got there. When Jack emerged from the bathroom and told her, "Good morning, Sunshine," Nina threw the covers over her head and lay back down. When she got up and donned a robe, it became clear that Nina was hungover.

The pair made some awkward small talk about how surprising the night before had been. The audience even got to see the whole thing through flashbacks. Nina also brought up the black box, so Jack informed her that she didn't have to sleep with him to get him to help her.

Nina was aghast that Jack would say such a thing and even further disturbed when Jack said he wanted to see how far she would go to protect Willow. "You're a disgusting pig. No wonder Carly dumped you," Nina said.

As Nina angrily dressed to leave, Jack apologized for what he said, claiming it was a defense mechanism. He enjoyed their evening and wanted to do it again sometime. Nina said they should just keep things business and left.

Immunity for Ezra

Molly and Laura sat down in the interrogation room to talk about the Sidwell case, as Molly had decided to cancel her book tour and prosecute. Ezra lurked outside the room, trying to get Laura's attention, when Joe approached him. As Laura told her story to Molly, Joe wanted to hear Ezra's side of things.

As Joe asked questions, Ezra refused to give a straight answer. When Laura and Molly emerged from the interrogation room, Ezra dragged Laura right back in. He begged Laura to save him. Laura explained to Ezra that he was better off telling the truth now and then working out an immunity deal in return for his testimony.
