News for Alexis

Monet found Alexis alone in her office. Alexis commented on Monet's long hours. She said she needed to put them in if she was going to win Curtis' appeal. Alexis was surprised to hear that Monet went on an ambulance-chasing mission and is now Curtis' new lawyer.

Alexis informed Monet that Curtis was a good friend and she hoped she could win the appeal. She just didn't want Monet to get Curtis' hopes up too much. Monet also confessed that Jordan was her sister, another surprise for Alexis. However, she took it all in stride and approved of Monet's strategy, except for the Drew part. She warned Monet to be wary of Drew.

Suddenly, an email arrived that Alexis had been waiting for. When she opened it, she was stunned. "My client is not going to be happy," she said.

Monet's Request

Isaiah attempted to bring Portia dessert in bed, but she found him before he could make it upstairs. They sat down to enjoy their dessert and talk. Isaiah told her about the night and Britt's various personalities. Portia admitted her friend could be a bit much.

Portia was thrilled to hear that Tristan wanted him to assist with a transplant. "Baby steps," Isaiah said. "Take enough of them and they'll get you where you want to be," Portia said. Before they could talk more, Monet dropped in and introduced herself.

Both Portia and Isaiah heard Monet out, but they weren't happy. "I don't even know why we're having this conversation," Portia said. Monet then asked them if Curtis was a danger to society and they said he was not. When Monet asked Portia to give a positive interview about Curtis, Portia was ambivalent.

Monet finally told them that she was Jordan's sister, but didn't like her very much. "My goal is to minimize the damage Jordan has done to your family," Monet said. Finally, Portia agreed to do the interview, but only if Curtis understood that he could no longer resist Isaiah being a part of hers and Dez's lives.

Good News and Bad for Valentin

Valentin was pleasantly surprised to see Carly at his front door. She told him she was making a rare exception. She almost never took advice, but now she was about to. Valentin was sure that Carly was breaking up with him. Carly explained that she was not dumping him, but that Lucas had given her some advice.

"My brother sees a change in me since we got together and I think he's right. A good change. Life with you is better and you make me happy. And I don't think I ever told you that so I think you should know," Carly said.

"You make me happy, too. Deliriously so sometimes. I owe you an apology. I underestimated the risks you took to be with me. I'm talking about opening your heart to me after the way Sonny treated you," Valentin said.

He explained that he had gone to Josslyn to talk about buying the piers and she told him how broken Carly was from things Sonny had done. Carly admitted that there were times with Sonny that were not good, but there was so much more to their relationship. Valentin said he would never take her and the risk she took to be with him for granted.

They discussed the lives they had led and how amazing it was that they had found their way to each other. "You challenge me and you understand me and I feel safe with you. And I can be with you because I know I'm strong enough to be without you," she said. "I'd rather not be without you," Valentin replied.

Valentin was thrilled when Carly said she could stay the night, but that didn't last because Alexis showed up with some news. Someone else had bought Spoon Island. Valentin had missed his chance. Valentin couldn't imagine who the buyer could be. Maybe he is one of the mysterious strangers who have recently arrived in Port Charles, as there are so many to choose from now.

"Crackerjack" and "Stunner"

Britt and her mystery man made it back to the Metro Court and into a room without taking their hands off one another. Once they were in the room, a drunk Britt tripped over his clothes and remembered his alias.

"Crackerjack" said they could stop if she wanted, but Britt didn't want to. "All I want is some thoughtless, harmless fun. Can't we just let off a little steam, no strings attached, please?" she said, getting on her new friend's lap. "I have spent the last four years getting ready to die. I wanna live!" she declared.

After they hit the sheets, "Crackerjack" seemed to want to see Britt more, so Britt got out of bed and declared she'd had enough. "Crackerjack" convinced her to come back to bed and enjoy the rest of the night. "I promise I won't fall in love with you," he said.

Surprise, Jason

At Sonny's place, Jason told him that there were no signs of Vito anywhere. They wondered if he might be dead. "Whoever got Vito to turn on you definitely doesn't want you to know who they are," Jason logically deduced.

They didn't think Selina Wu was involved, but they knew they had to find a way to clear Sonny's name. Sonny then brought up Justine and marvelled that now she thinks he was guilty when he wasn't. He warned Jason that she was going to come after both of them with cold cases.

"If there's a loose end, ADA Turner's gonna find it," Sonny warned. But he ruled out pressuring her to back off. After a curious Jason asked a few more questions, Sonny finally confessed that he had been involved with Justine. "Me and Justine. We were involved. We've been seeing each other since March," Sonny told a stunned Jason.

Sonny admitted that he had fallen for her and wanted their relationship to be public, but Justine refused. Jason asked if Sonny had only left the business for Justine. Sonny said that there were many reasons. He still insisted they couldn't go after Justine or even retaliate.

Drew's Intrigued

Justine met with Drew in her office. She wanted to talk about the attack at Pentonville. Drew laid it on thick, as he pointed fingers at Sonny. "I believe that all his talk of going legit was just a smokescreen," Justine said. "If I can't get him for the attack at Pentonville, I'm going to get him for something else."

Justine wanted to use Drew's knowledge of Sonny's crimes from when Drew thought he was Jason and worked for Sonny. If it was within the statute of limitations, Justine wanted to pursue it. "If you bring me something I can use against him, I am willing to offer you immunity for any part you may have played in the crime," Justine said.

Drew insinuated that there was something odd about Justine deciding to go after Sonny now, especially after he saved her from Sidwell. "Don't you owe Sonny your life?" he asked. Justine said she would not let her personal feelings interfere with law and order.
