On the Tuesday, September 1, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Danny and Charlotte left a dead man in the pool, but Ava and Drew found him, and a brand-new story was launched.

Dead Man's Float

In Jack's room, Ava tried to get Drew to leave, but he insisted he wasn't going anywhere until he got what he came for. Drew wanted five more minutes, so Ava said sure and left. She wasn't about to get caught, but she didn't seem to care what happened to Drew. Finally, he ran from the room too.

After hearing Charlotte scream, Danny jumped in the pool to see what the fuss was about. Danny turned over the body they saw in the water, revealing Jack Brennan's face. Danny took his pulse and told Charlotte that he was dead. Charlotte wanted to call the cops, but Danny wanted to run in case Drew used this against him. So, they ran off and left dead Jack in the pool.

Ava and Drew soon arrived and were stunned when they spotted Jack doing the Dead Man Float. Like Danny, Drew was ready to run, but Ava wanted to do something. She couldn't have the WSB investigate this. So, Drew got in the pool to get rid of the body. After much effort, they lifted him into a laundry cart and rolled Jack away.

Carly called Jason to her office after learning that the MC security system was down. When Jason got there, he assessed that this was deliberate sabotage and not a glitch. Jason found a virus that had shut the system down. Jason wondered if there may have been any VIP guests that could have prompted someone to mess with the security cameras. "The WSB station chief," Carly said.

Jason and Carly searched Jack's room. They found nothing, but Jason was sure someone had already searched before them.

Teen Panic

At the Q boathouse, Scout and Rocco talked about school as Rocco gave Scout tips on choosing an elective. Rocco thought she could join the speech and debate team and learn how to win arguments with her dad. He promised he would give Scout tips if she joined.

Danny and Charlotte made it to the boathouse in a complete panic over what they had just found. Charlotte couldn't believe she had touched a dead body. Danny still insisted that it was best that nobody knew they were there. "What are you guys going to do now?" Rocco said as he came up behind them.

They claimed that all they did was steal Chase's car and put a ding in it. Scout was furious that he had just given Drew more ammunition. Danny finally lost it over Drew. "He's a selfish bastard and if Mom were alive, she'd tell it to his face," Danny spat. That just angered Scout. Charlotte joined in and told Scout that Drew was a jerk to everyone.

Charlotte and Rocco argued back and forth over who had a worse dad, Scout or Charlotte. Scout just broke down in tears and told Danny that she didn't want to have to choose between him and Drew. Later, when Danny and Scout were alone, Charlotte realized her bracelet was gone. At the pool, we could see it landed right on Jack's dead, limp wrist.

Ric and Lulu met up for coffee, where he told her his dilemma. "Elizabeth invited me to dinner with Portia and Isaiah. You gotta help me avoid disaster," he said. He was worried he would rub Portia and Isaiah the wrong way. "You are an acquired taste," Lulu agreed.

Ric wasn't sure what he was going to talk about with a bunch of medical professionals. Lulu advised him to just talk about normal things, as normal people are apt to do. "Relax, have a good time, and be yourself," Lulu said. Ric thought that was awful advice.

As Ric lamented his lack of social skills, he amused Lulu, who found his deadpan humor to be funny. When Dante appeared, Ric excused himself, but not before telling Ric that he had a date with Elizabeth. When Dante sat down, Lulu told him that she'd been getting to know Ric better and he's not half bad.

Dante just wanted to talk about Rocco. He was worried about how quiet and detached Rocco had become. He didn't even seem to have any friends. Lulu was shocked to hear that Dante had spoken to Britt about Rocco. Lulu didn't like it, but she agreed to Britt's advice to stop hovering. They agreed that they had to give Rocco more independence and freedom, but also not to go to Britt for advice anymore.

Portia and Isaiah arrived at the Metro Court for dinner. Portia was surprised to see Elizabeth, who told her that she and Ric were having dinner with them for a regular double date. Isaiah thought this would be a nice distraction from Trina's performance.

When Ric joined them, he did his best to put on a happy face as they discussed softball, and Elizabeth wasn't sure how to tell Portia that Dante had coached her. Determined to be the bigger person, Ric told her instead. The dinner seemed to go very well, with Elizabeth impressed with how personable Ric was.

At the Cat's Eye lounge, Brook Lynn and Simon gave Gio and Trina a pep talk before they performed. Brook Lynn advised Gio and Trina to pretend they had a romantic connection. Trina was thrilled to see Josslyn arrive for moral support. Hudson also soon showed up to meet with Josslyn. He was ready for business, which Josslyn said would be conducted there.

When Emma and Kai arrived, they were wearing "Trino" shirts as Trina and Gio's biggest fans. Quinn also showed up to cheer them on, while Josslyn just tried to get Hudson to understand that he was in charge.

Elsewhere, Simon approached Kai and asked him to keep his romantic distance from Trina. "This could be her big shot. Do you really want to be the reason that this doesn't work out for her?" he asked.

Finally, Trina and Gio performed their song to much success.
