On the Thursday, September 10, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Anna turned in her badge, Britt was on the warpath, Brook Lynn got good legal news, and Ned took charge.

Anna Takes Leave

Anna prepared for the day with coffee from Jason. When the doorbell rang, he told her that she would be okay. When Anna let Dante in, she handed him her gun and badge. "I'm not fit to serve," she said. "I haven't been entirely forthcoming with the impact this whole ordeal has had on me...I'm not well, Dante. And I've been working really hard to hide it and I think it's taken a toll," she said.

Dante reminded her that his time with the WSB had a strong psychological effect on him. Dante assured Anna that she would recover, but he needed to do the work to make it happen. She said she would be going back into therapy, but it would not be inpatient. Dante agreed to become acting police commissioner again.

Anna informed Dante that he may be hearing from Britt. She told him that he had to follow procedure and do his duty, no matter what Britt told him.

Josslyn's Decision

Jason left and met up with Josslyn outside the Q boathouse. She wanted to hear directly from him exactly what had happened with Anna and Britt. "Anna's been struggling way more than any of us realized," Jason said. He explained that Cullum knew exactly how to break Anna by using Faison.

Josslyn realized that Sidwell and Cullum had worked to destroy and discredit Anna so she wouldn't interfere with their Cold Fusion project. Josslyn then had a confession to make. She had lied about what happened on Spoon Island to get Jason and Valentin released, but she knew Cassius was one of the good guys. Josslyn now felt awful for sullying his name and making Anna believe he had tried to hurt her.

Jason also told Josslyn that it was her choice whether she reported what had happened to the WSB. It would not help Anna, but Anna would understand if Josslyn felt it was her duty.

Angry Britt

At GH, Emma wanted Felicia to ensure her that she'd find the best therapist for Anna. She then told Felicia what happened. "Last night, Jason brought my grandmother home after she almost took somebody's life," Emma cried.

Lucas greeted Britt at the nurses' station and noted how awful she looked. He hoped she had a good story. "If almost being killed and buried in a shallow grave qualifies as entertainment, then yeah, I got a good story," she said. Britt took Lucas aside and told him what had happened.

Soon, Britt showed exactly how angry and affected she was by the night before. When Emma approached her to talk, Britt snapped at her and told her, "Anna Devane needs to be locked up." Emma begged Britt to show some compassion toward her grandmother after all she had been through.

"You don't have the right to ask me for anything. I don't owe Anna anything. Why is it that people like you and your grandmother think that you can just do whatever you want, hurt whoever you please, and then everyone's supposed to accept it just because you apologize?" she hissed.

Emma wasn't done and publicly listed all the awful things that Britt had done in her life. "Who are you to judge my grandmother? She spent her entire life in service to others. Why don't you name one unselfish thing that you have ever done?" Emma cried. Britt pointed out that she saved lives every day. Felicia reminded Britt how many people have given her multiple chances.

When Britt and Lucas retired to her office, she lamented that nobody seemed to care what had happened to her. "You make it hard for people to care about you sometimes," he said. When Lucas urged Britt to leave Anna alone, Britt was all for that idea. "Don’t worry, I’m not going near her, but she will pay for what she’s done," Britt stated.

As for Emma, she was furious at Britt and ranted about it to Felicia. Soon, Anna arrived for her first therapy session, but took Felicia aside to talk first. She apologized to her friend for tricking her to secure her release from the French mental hospital. Felicia was just glad that Anna would get well now.

The Other Driver

Tracy was not happy that Diane sent Alexis to deal with Brook Lynn's legal matters. (Did she commit a crime when Jordan nearly killed her when she leaned over to kiss Curtis?) Brook Lynn also wondered why she would need a lawyer. "If you want to stay out of prison, you do," Brook Lynn said.

Brook Lynn was in shock and defended herself. She didn't cause the accident, nor did she know that Jordan and Curtis had crashed. Alexis told Brook Lynn that she had a legal obligation to come forward because she damaged public property. "Scraping a guardrail?" Brook Lynn asked, incredulously, just as the audience was likely doing at home.

Brook Lynn was warned that Justine was coming to hear the details and she would want to go after a Quartermaine, especially when she was such good friends with the person who caused the accident. When Justine got there, Alexis recited Brook Lynn's story.

"She kept driving and a car crossed over into oncoming traffic in front of her," Alexis explained. "She swerved to get out of the way and ended up side-swiping a guardrail. She looked back in her rearview mirror. She saw nothing, she heard nothing, so she drove on to see her son perform at Charlie's Pub."

Justine agreed that the only crime Brook Lynn had committed was hitting the guardrail, but as Jordan's friend, she spoke up. She felt if Brook Lynn had come forward, then Curtis might not be in jail. At least Portia had the good sense to tell Trina that Curtis was in jail because he punched Isaiah and that was his choice. After Justine left, Brook Lynn said she needed to apologize to the people she hurt. Tracy quietly told Alexis that she could handle Brook Lynn's divorce.

The Other Parties

Chase walked into the PCPD to tell Joe that he could close the book on the Jordan accident case. He knew who the non-criminal other driver was. It was his wife. However, Chase believed that she didn't know about the accident until later. When Dante arrived, he told Chase and Joe that Anna needed to take a leave for personal reasons, so he was their boss again.

Once alone in the interrogation room, Dante asked Chase what he planned to do about his marriage. Chase wasn't sure, but he didn't have much time to think about it because Ned walked in and told him it was time to save his marriage.

Trina sat in her living room, flashing back to Brook Lynn telling them she was the other driver who Jordan nearly killed. She was so angry that her dad's girlfriend nearly killed her manager that she couldn't even write lyrics. Gio soon arrived to discuss the situation.

Trina told Gio she was having a hard time getting past this and she was not sure what to do about her musical career. After Gio left, he went to see Emma and told her that he thought his music career might be over before it began. Emma was a wreck and told Gio what had happened with Anna. She was worried that her fight with Britt at GH had just made things worse.

As for Trina, she was alone at home when Brook Lynn knocked on the door.

Do you think Brook Lynn is in the wrong? Should Brook Lynn have ever listened to Tracy? Sound off in the comments.
