GH Recap September 23: Drew Gets an Eyeful, Sonny Gets a Warning, Curtis Gets a Visitor

On the Thursday, September 23, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Drew got an eyeful, Chase made a decision, Trina also made a decision, and Ava went to bat for her friend.

A Metro Court Gardens Morning

At the Metro Court Gardens, Chase met with Monet Mitchell, the newest Miller & Davis attorney. "Rest assured, when you end your marriage, I'll get you everything you've got coming to you and more," she said. That gave Chase pause. "I am not even sure I want a divorce. My wife and I still love each other," he said.

Monet wanted to know why she was even there and reminded Chase that she wasn't a marriage counselor. However, if Chase decided to move forward with a divorce, she would provide him with legal counsel. One of her first pieces of advice was to move back into the marital home to help a possible custody case.

At another table, Ava flashed back to Drew warning her that she'd lose Avery if she helped Nina. When Willow appeared for a meeting, Ava told her she had been having trouble sleeping. "Every time I close my eyes, I see Nina caged in a cell at Steinmauer," Ava said. Willow said it was the same for her. "But we are going to get her out...by finding Jack Brennan," Willow announced.

Ava noted that it might not be so easy to find Jack. After all, he was a spy who was trained to disappear. Ava suggested getting Nina into a more humane facility in the meantime. "But she'd need to be completely exonerated. That would be something that's easier to do if we knew how strong the WSB case is," Ava said.

Willow believed that all the WSB had was Carly's word about an altercation and Jack's wallet in Nina's car. They weren't even sure if Jack was dead. Willow was sure that someone had set her up. "If I can prove to the WSB that she's being framed, they're going to have to let her go," Willow said. Ava replied, "If Nina is being framed, I may know by who."

Ava proceeded to throw Carly right under the bus, but Willow knew that it was Drew. And Ava knew it was Drew, but neither woman could tell the other that they knew it was Drew. Ava gave Willow a good argument for Carly being Jack's killer and trying to pin it on Nina.

As Willow got up to leave, Ava gave her some words of wisdom: "Your mother loves you more than life itself. And she has gone to the ends of the Earth for you. Don't let anyone or anything stop you from doing the same for her." After Willow walked away, Ava received a fascinating phone call from Avery's school.

Tracy Plots

Tracy found a forlorn and disheveled Brook Lynn in the solarium after she had skipped breakfast. Brook Lynn told Tracy that Chase had packed his bags and left. "Brook Lynn, it's for the best," Tracy said. Brook Lynn wished that Chase had just moved to a different bedroom so she could work to smooth things over.

Tracy tried to be supportive of Brook Lynn, as her granddaughter told her that she was done lying. She was glad that Chase had not pursued a separation yet, but was tired of Brook Lynn's pity party. "You know what? Stop! I can't stomach you holding all this guilt any longer," Tracy declared.

Tracy pointed out that she didn't force Curtis to punch Isaiah. Brook Lynn argued that she tried to frame Willow. "She deserved it," Tracy countered. Brook Lynn once again said it was about the lies. "If Chase ends the marriage over this, he's the liar," Tracy said.

Later, Tracy sat down with Yuri to try and figure out a way to make sure Chase and Willow embarked on an affair. Yuri tried to talk her out of her plan, but he did promise to be discreet and loyal, no matter what Tracy decided to do. Tracy declared Brook Lynn's marriage over and needed Yuri on her side. "It would cause Brook Lynn much pain to lose Chase," Yuri pointed out.

After her confab with Yuri, Monet arrived at Tracy's house to tell her that Chase was moving back in and there was nothing she could do about it.

Drew's Morning Workout

At the Aurora Wellness Center, Drew approached Kai. "I hadn't seen you since my recovery. Starting to think you were avoiding me," Drew said. "That's because I am," Kai replied. "Listen, Drew, I'm glad you recovered, but you and Willow are both toxic and I don't want any part of it anymore," he added.

Drew noted that it must have been difficult for Kai to play nursemaid day after day, "all while knowing she put two bullets in my back." Drew explained that he was "a piece of furniture and people don't really worry about what they say in front of furniture." So, he had known what Kai and Trina knew for quite a while.

Drew accused Kai of being in his house the night he was shot so they could steal the evidence that Drew had against Portia. Kai denied the accusation and told him that he and Trina were done with Drew's twisted world.

But Drew was actually grateful to Kai for staying on Willow's payroll because he had helped care for him and Scout. Drew knew that Kai was well aware of what Willow was capable of. Since Drew was grateful to Kai, he offered him a job at Aurora, but Kai didn't want to accept.

After Kai walked away, Drew spied Chase and Willow in a close moment as they got a workout in.

Sonny's Side Business

In Sonny's living room, Ric presented his brother with a list of assets that Drew was also after. Sonny was mainly interested in buying back his piers. "If Drew wants to take a shot, let him try," Sonny said. Ric warned Sonny that Drew's quest for the piers seemed more personal than just a real estate deal.

"We just need to be realistic about our chances of going up against him and winning," Ric said. Sonny didn't seem to be worried because he'd gone up against worse than Drew. However, he had promised Laura that he wouldn't lay a hand on Drew, so he planned to stay clean during this battle.

Just then, Vito arrived. Ric rolled his eyes as Sonny took him onto the veranda to talk privately. When Sonny returned, Vito was gone. Ric grew frustrated that Sonny was keeping secrets, so Sonny finally told him that he had asked Vito to deliver a message to a Pentonville prisoner.

Once Sonny was alone again, Ava barrelled in to chastise him for taking Avery out of school for a few days. She warned him that he would never do anything behind her back regarding Avery again.

The Ashfords

At Pentonville, Portia visited with Desmond. Curtis marveled at how big he had gotten. She explained that she knew the warden's niece from GH, so he allowed the visit. "I don't want our son to spend any more time without his father than he absolutely has to," Portia said. When Curtis held his son, Portia remarked that the baby was comfortable with him.

Curtis mentioned that Trina had been there and had told him that Brook Lynn was "the other driver" and Portia pretty much said, "I told you so." She hoped that Curtis could now let go of some of his anger. Curtis said he was trying, but he worried that Dez would think Isaiah was his father. Portia assured him that wouldn't happen. After Portia left, another inmate warned him not to be in his cell after lunch.

In her apartment, Trina told Gio that she never planned to take a call from Simon again. "To me, he is a reminder of your mom and what she did to my dad and Jordan," Trina said. "I feel like I have to purge everything about her from my life."

Gio hoped Trina wasn't referring to their friendship. He assured her that she wasn't alone in this, but Trina had to break bad news. She wanted to forgo their musical career. Even if they found a new manager, things felt tainted to her now. Gio said he understood, but Trina didn't want him to give up on his own dreams because of her. "We're a team. If you're out, I'm out," Gio decided.

When Brook Lynn stopped by, Gio told her that they were exercising their 90-day out and not continuing with the contract. Brook Lynn tried to talk Trina out of her decision. "I may have opened the door, but I didn't walk through it. You and Gio did," Brook Lynn said. Trina asked why she even cared. "Because if you pull out, then there's just one more thing I've taken away from you," Brook Lynn admitted. So, Trina decided not to quit, but she refused to work on her music with Brook Lynn.
