GH Recap September 30: Ava and Drew Set Up the Pentonville Attack

On the Wednesday, September 30, 2026, episode of General Hospital, Sonny continued to deny; Ava and Drew were ready to lie, Ric delivered a message, Danny decked Rocco, Scout was furious at Alexis, and Curtis vowed revenge.

Brothers No More

Danny and Rocco continued to argue outside the Q boathouse. Rocco was relentless with Danny, blaming him for what had happened and pointing out all of Danny and Charlotte's antics over the last few months. "My sister never would have gotten involved with any of that if you hadn't encouraged her," Rocco said.

"Like Charlotte's the type to sit home and knit," Danny correctly assessed. He insisted that Charlotte needed a brother who didn't rat her out. "I didn't have a choice. Someone had to care about what happened to Charlotte, cause clearly, you didn't," Rocco said, but he wasn't done.

"Nothing is ever your fault. My mom was right. Charlotte needed to get away from you. And if your mom was alive, she would send you away too," Rocco shouted, causing Danny to haul off and deck him. Rocco got up and hurled a punch right back until the whole thing turned into a boathouse brawl. "Stay away from me and everyone in my family and don't you ever mention my mom again," Danny yelled, before storming off.

Taking Care of Business

Jason dropped by Sonny's place at Sonny's behest and learned what had happened at Pentonville. "You didn't order that, did you?" Sonny asked. Jason was perplexed. Why would he do a thing like that? Ric explained that Sonny had sent Vito to Pentonville to keep an eye on Sidwell and protect him, not attack him.

"Best case scenario, Vito's message to Sonny got lost in translation," Ric said. But Ric worried that Vito and Sully did this on purpose because Vito was suddenly missing. "Vito betrayed me," Sonny declared. Ric wondered if someone had paid Vito to turn on Sonny, but Sonny couldn't even imagine that.

Ric reminded him that his guys weren't getting paid what they did before and may have needed some extra cash. "If someone is trying to take over your territory, it's likely that they're recruiting your employees," Ric noted. He was also worried about Curtis' statement, prompting Sonny to say, "We need to take care of Curtis." Jason and Ric looked at Sonny, wondering what he meant by that. Sonny thought Curtis would listen to reason and take back his statement.

Sonny was sending Ric to do the job. "I want you to tell him this clearly. I am going to find who set me up and I am going to make them pay," Sonny said.

After Ric left, Jason and Sonny had a deep chat. "What hurts me is that I told Dante and Laura and people that I care about that I was getting out of this life. And now they are going to look at me like I'm a liar," Sonny said. Before he could say much more, a bloody Danny walked in. Jason was not happy to see his son in such shape, but knew it was his fault.

Danny told them he had a fight with Rocco. He knew he was wrong to punch Rocco, but he also declared their friendship over. "Rocco and I are done. For good," Danny said.

Ric Delivers a Message

At GH, Jordan was confused and surprised when Curtis told her that Sonny had ordered the attack. "Why would Sonny send someone to Pentonville to hurt you?" she asked. Curtis explained that the attackers were after Sidwell. Curtis told Jordan the whole story, from when he was warned to stay away from his cell until now.

Curtis said he protected Sidwell to protect himself. "If Sidwell was stabbed, it would implicate me because we share a cell," Curtis said. Jordan believed that Curtis intervened because he couldn't let someone be killed. When Curtis mentioned the message about Sonny, Jordan was outraged. "That bastard. He has everyone all fooled with his changed man, out-of-the-mob-for-good act," Jordan said.

Curtis didn't even think there was a way to make Sonny legally pay. "Maybe not in court, but there are other ways to get to Sonny Corinthos," Jordan said.

When Curtis was alone again, Ric stopped in and pretended he had been there to see another client, but Curtis knew why Ric was talking to him. "You can tell Sonny that he can take his regrets straight to hell," Curtis said. Ric delivered Sonny's message. Curtis listened as Ric told him, "Sonny is not your enemy."

Curtis didn't seem to believe Ric, as Ric politely asked Curtis to retract his statement. Curtis refused to do it.

Molly's New Sister

Molly dropped into Michael's office just to talk. She needed her sister, but was willing to take her sister's brother as a stand-in, as promised. "I need you to help me be a better aunt before I seriously screw up Scout's life," Molly said. Molly casually told Michael that Charlotte did something crazy enough to be sent to boarding school.

"Drew doesn't know what happened, but Scout does. That's why it's a sticky situation," Molly said. She told Michael that she asked Scout to keep Charlotte's actions a secret, but didn't feel that was the right thing to do. Michael could see Molly's point, but urged her to stop feeling so guilty.

After Molly left, Jordan stopped by and updated Michael on Curtis' condition. Michael was surprised when Jordan said that Sonny was the one who ordered the attack on Curtis and Sidwell. Michael didn't think that going after Sidwell benefitted Sonny. "I know what my father is capable of, but something's not adding up," he said.

When Jordan tried to pull some strings to get Curtis sent to Spring Ridge, Michael told her to let the lawyers take care of that. She needed to go to Germany for business...and for treatment at the burn clinic.

Honesty...Is Such a Lonely Word

Scout stopped into Alexis' office for an evening chat because she needed legal advice. "Charlotte Cassadine tried to trap my dad," she said. A confused Alexis asked for details and was appalled by what Scout told her. Scout wanted to know if Charlotte could be prosecuted and was disappointed when she was told no.

Scout wanted the news to go public so Charlotte could pay for what she did, but Alexis tried to talk her down. Scout insisted that Charlotte was not her friend. "And poor Rocco. He has to have her as his sister," Scout lamented. Alexis pointed out to Scout that Charlotte was trying to help Danny and Scout, but Scout didn't see it that way.

"What Charlotte did didn't just happen in a vacuum. Your father threatened to keep you away from people that you love and people that love you. And I believe that Charlotte was reacting to that," Alexis explained. "She was trying to solve a problem that your father created."

Scout was shocked at her grandmother's words. "What are you saying? That we should blame the victim?" she asked. Alexis tried to explain that the situation was not black and white, but Scout didn't want to hear it. "Just say it. You hate my dad and would take anyone's side over his," Scout accused. "This was such a mistake coming here."

After Scout stormed out, Molly arrived and told her she got great advice from Michael about Scout. "Great. I am going to give him a call now too. My vow to be honest from now on with Scout about her father just blew up in my face," Alexis announced. Alexis worried that Scout would tell Drew about what happened with Charlotte.

Ava and Drew Did It

When Ava walked into Drew's house, he told her that Sidwell was beaten at Pentonville and Sonny was being blamed for it. "That's what we wanted, right. Seems like everything is going according to plan," she smiled. Drew had to break it to her that Sidwell's cellmate was also hurt. Ava was horrified to learn the cellmate was Curtis.

"Trina's father was hurt? Do you know how badly? Is he in the hospital?" Ava asked, panicked. "This is not how it was supposed to go down, Drew. What did you tell Sonny's man to do?" When Ava declared that they never should have done this, Drew reminded Ava that this was all his idea.

"I may have proposed that we get Vito to turn on Sonny and use it to our advantage, but you were completely on board, so you and I are in this together," Ava reminded Drew, who tried to look on the bright side.

"I mean, if you put Curtis' unexpected beating aside, this plan worked," he declared with glee. Drew told Ava that the police would believe Curtis' word over Sidwell, which was what they wanted. Ava was appalled that Drew was taking pleasure in this. Drew figured the situation wasn't ideal, but "what's done is done."

When Vito showed up, Ava called him a "stupid bastard" and warned him to disappear. She reminded him that Sonny would be coming after him if he didn't.

Back at the boathouse, Rocco remained in pretty bad shape as he checked out his face with his phone. When Scout FaceTimed him, Rocco declined. He then called her back for an audio call. Scout, who was outside her house, broke down crying about how everyone hates her dad. "I love my dad and I can't see why nobody else can see what a good guy he really is," Scout said.

When Scout turned around, she saw Vito leaving and heard the mob talk. "You two have nothing to worry about. Nobody in Port Charles is ever going to hear from me again," Vito said, alarming Scout.
