When Ethan Lovett returned to Port Charles on General Hospital, his primary goal was to find Delilah Wilson and help protect her and her baby.
He found out that Delilah died in childbirth, and that her baby, now named Phoebe, is being taken of at the Quartermaines. And that Q couple Brook Lynn and Chase are not only taking care of her as foster parents, but are looking to adopt the cute little tyke.
Phoebe has rocked Ethan's world

The news rocked Ethan’s (Nathan Dean) world. He sat alone, mourning Delilah’s (Lily Cardone) death and tearing up. He had a picture of her blowing a kiss at him, which he burned to leave no evidence they knew each other.
Ethan cared about Delilah, and it definitely seems like they were in a romantic relationship. The question is if Ethan is Phoebe’s father?
If she is, he has, for the moment, decided to give up his own daughter without a fight. And not easily, as he couldn’t keep his eyes off Phoebe (Luna and Lucia Creighton) when they were in the Metro Court restaurant at the same time. He also gave Kristina (Kate Mansi) some advice after she told him how she lost her surrogate baby Irene/Adela. Ethan mused that losing a child is a terrible thing to go through, in such a way that he could have been talking about himself.
Given all the trouble he constantly gets into, it’s understandable that he would want his child to be safe from any criminals he falls into disfavor with. And he would want to keep her safe from the people he was trying to protect Delilah from.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Dean said that protecting Delilah in death is a high priority for Ethan.
“Ethan definitely wants to make sure that this kid is taken care of,” he said. “He feels like he’s the reason that Delilah got killed and he doesn’t want to screw things up more than he already has.”
It may be too simple to suggest that Ethan is Delilah’s "babydaddy." If he isn’t, he might know who is, and he might want to keep that guy from finding the adorable Phoebe, who has captured the hearts of everyone who meets her. Who else could it be?
Cassius Faison

Delilah was about seven months pregnant when Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) found her. Phoebe was conceived right around the same time that Cassius arrived in Port Charles, staging a car crash and pretending to be an unconscious Nathan with no memory.
The timing could be a coincidence, but it could be by design. We know very little about where Cassius was in the seven years since Nathan’s death. We know he introduced himself to his sister Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) right after she “died,” and that he is deeply involved in the cold fusion project. But we don’t know where Cassius has lived or what he has done with his life during that time.
It’s easy to imagine Cassius and Delilah had a relationship, and Delilah realized her beau was a bad guy involved with dangerous people, and went running.
For this scenario to work, Delilah would have no idea that Cassius moved to Port Charles and took over the life of his brother, Nathan West, and his job as police detective. Ethan would have to miss this as well, but that’s easy to picture if he never met “Nathan” or knows what he looks like.
Also, Cassius would have to not realize that Delilah was his girlfriend. This works if she was using a fake name and he never saw a picture. This would help explain why the Port Charles Police Department has been unable to find her family.
Cassius, as Nathan, investigated Delilah and found her purse on the sidewalk, then took something out of it. He knows Delilah was pregnant, and if Cassius knew Delilah was carrying his child, he would have taken action by now. But it would be difficult for him to do so without blowing his cover.
A new criminal character

The tattoo on Delilah’s wrist means something. Chase has pictures of it and is curious about it.
There has been a lot of speculation that the tattoo represents a revival of Dawn of Day, the creepy cult run by Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). His tattoos were on his members’ lower backs, and of a different design. But a devotee of his cult may have gone in a different direction, putting a new design in a new spot.
A simpler idea is a criminal gang or group of thieves. Ethan trades in cons and deals with criminals in his daily life on the wrong side of the law. Perhaps he met Delilah in the course of his business. Perhaps they were involved in some devious art deals together as fellow con artists. Chase has a list of art galleries that Delilah may have been dealing with.
Sidwell could be involved. He loves art, and recently he made a cryptic comment about Willow’s past cult activities. He may have a connection to Delilah’s babydaddy, but that’s less likely because Ethan knows he’s living in PC and wouldn’t tell Delilah to meet him there if Sidwell is the person they’re running from.
Jacinda’s ex-boyfriend

Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) recently revealed to her boyfriend, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson). that she had an older ex-boyfriend who caused her a lot of trauma and led her to become a call girl. Since we learned some things about him, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he shows up on her doorstep someday.
Some have noticed a resemblance between Jacinda and Delilah, suggesting they’re related. That doesn’t seem likely because Delilah would have contacted Jacinda if she knew she was in town.
But what if Phoebe’s daddy is the same guy who haunted Jacinda, and he comes to Port Charles looking for trouble? If he reunites with Jacinda, he could accidentally find out about Phoebe and realize that the Qs knew Delilah. That would ensnare Brook Lynn, Michael, and the rest of the Qs in a new umbrella story.
Joe Fitzpatrick

Jonathan Bennett’s new character debuts in Port Charles on Monday, May 18, as a police detective in the PCPD. We don’t know yet if Joe is just moving to Port Charles or if he has been with the PCPD all along. If he’s new in town, he could be hiding secrets of his own. He could have a connection to Delilah or be in league with the baddies in Port Charles. Or he could be Jacinda’s ex-boyfriend and stir up trouble with her that is separate from the Phoebe situation.
