On General Hospital, Rocco Falconeri’s already crazy life was upended in a traumatic and terrifying way after he shot WSB director Ross Cullum. It was a shocking event that had fans talking all week.

General Hospital's Finn Carr offers a tease

The buildup to the big moment came when Rocco lurked on Pier 55 after following Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). After a life-changing event, he flew straight into his mother’s arms and told her what happened. Those were just two major highlights during a week filled with dramatic moments and heartwarming performances.

Before the fight, Rocco’s portrayer, Finn Carr, shared a snap from the episode without revealing the details. On his X (formerly Twitter) account, he posted a behind-the-scenes still of Rocco peaking around the corner at Britt and Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). He captioned it, “Rocco Rocco Rocco … what are you doing?”

Finn Carr blows GH fans away

Carr’s performance warmed the hearts of GH fans who already love how the young star has handled the other crazy moments in Rocco’s life over the past year. As fan compliments poured in, Carr showed his gratitude.

X user @StacyFreedban posted, “All I know is that @finn_carr08 is an incredible actor period. Never mind how young he is, his acting is top notch! Love him!!" @TxCatholicMama2 echoed the sentiment, “Finn Carr is absolutely amazing. GH casting nailed it when they brought him on as Rocco!”

@GHFan10130, wrote, “Finn Carr is excellent and he’s been great as Rocco since he’s been on this show. The Daytime Emmys needs to bring back the outstanding younger performers category because so many young performers on all five soaps that are not properly getting recognized for their talent performances and they absolutely should be.”

@STEELK1969 noted, “Rocco was traumatized before & after taking charge. Well done on the realistic angsty performances.”

Rocco's General Hospital legacy status

Many General Hospital fans quickly drew parallels between Rocco and his older relatives. The teen, of course, is the grandson of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and the late Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). His parents are Dante the detective (Dom Zamprogna) and the adventurous reporter Lulu (Alexa Havins).

On X, @CrazyLexxiCool noted, “Rocco is Sonny Corinthos and Luke Spencer’s grandson and over the past year he almost died of alcohol poisoning and got in trouble for tearing a lab up. It was only a matter of time til he graduated to some real [stuff].” @TheBadSeed0915 added, “He’s also Lulu’s son and Laura’s grandson, so it was inevitable he’d kill someone while he was still in high school.”

When it comes to legacy and history, much drama was added when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) decided to take the fall for Cullum’s shooting. He let himself be whisked away by the WSB, with his son Danny watching. Asher Antonyzyn’s performance in those scenes also drew a lot of praise.

Danny and Rocco have been brothers in every way but biology, and fans are looking forward to seeing conflict when those bonds get tested.

@GHFan10130 praised both teens: “Finn Carr and Asher Antonyzyn have really surprised today not too often that I feel like the teens by far gave the best performance performances and outperform the adults. And I love that they are driving and carrying the story.”

X user @LisaEDesignNC said, “They are setting up a really good conflict when Danny finds out it was Rocco his dad is covering for. Jason chose him and Britt over being a parent.”

General Hospital fans hope Rocco didn't actually kill Cullum

While Director Cullum has been pure, icy evil since arriving in Port Charles in January, and many fans would love him to go away and stop threatening their favorite characters, plenty of fans hope he survives so the young teen doesn’t have his death on his conscience.

On X, @KHyde23589 echoed that sentiment, “Anna is the one who should kill [Cullum] off. For Anna’s revenge & also for Rocco. Rocco is too young for such a heavy burden. Anna needs to be the one to kill him off.”
