Laura Wright, Finola Hughes and other General Hospital stars past and present have been looking back this week. Most were selfies, and some were from the General Hospital studio. She captioned the post, “Wow looking back at 2016…. All I see is how badly I wanted to feel on the inside what I was pretending on the outside - it was definitely a transitional time for me but check out the last photo from the beginning of 2017. I love that I can clearly see that something shifted maybe it’s that I found Botox and filters ha ha ha ha. I’m super grateful for it all !!!! Hughes also posted a picture of herself riding a horse.Braedyn Bruner, who plays Anna's granddaughter Emma, commented "Icon" with a heart eyes emoji.Kate Mansi (Kristina Corinthos-Davis) posted several photos on her Instagram stories. Some were professional modeling pics. Mansi, who was playing Abigail Deveraux on Days of Our Lives at the time, also shared photos with stars of the show then and now, including Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady), Lauren Koslow (Kate Roberts), Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) and Robert Scott Wilson (then Ben Weston).Cyrus Hobbi (Yuri) posted a picture of himself sitting with Emmy and Oscar-nominated actor Jesse Plemons and Dexter star Anthony Michael Hall. He didn’t explain if they were working on a project together but it was a cool picture of three buddies hanging out together.Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke Lavery) posted an old modeling shot and tagged the photographer Jonathan Williamson.John Stamos (ex-Blackie Parrish) shared photos from several photos with Full House castmates as well as from projects he worked on that year, including pictures with Jamie Lee Curtis, Brooke Shields and Emma Roberts. He also included a pic with his wife Caitlin.Some ex-General Hospital stars also looked back to 10 years ago, when they were playing characters in Port Charles.Brytni Sarpy, who was most recently in the soap world as Elena Dawson on The Young and the Restless, shared pictures of her role as Valerie Spencer on General Hospital on her Instagram Stories. She shared one picture of Valerie in her police uniform, captioning it “My first show,” and also poked fun of her hair, sharing another picture of Valerie with bangs.Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Carlos Rivera) shared pictures of two of his biggest roles from that year, the TV series The Detour, where he recurred for several episodes; and the independent movie The Love Witch, which gained a lot of buzz at the time and for which he had a lead role.Emme Rylan, who was Lulu Spencer on General Hospital in 2016, shared several pictures to her Instagram Stories of her pregnancy, when she gave birth to her daughter, Dakota. Included were an ultrasound picture and a couple of Dakota as a newborn. Rylan also shared humorous shots of when she broke her nose in 2016 and had to wear a mask. She joked about the things she did to make her face look good, with stylish tape and artwork.Ashley Jones, now Bridget Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, shared poignant memories of 2016 when she began playing Kristina’s professor girlfriend Parker Forsyth in Port Charles. She was pregnant with her son Hayden when she began acting on General Hospital, and recounted how she came back to work at GH 17 days after giving birth. Jones shared behind-the-scenes photos with Lexi Ainsworth, who played Kristina then, as well as Wright, Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) and the late Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine). She also shared photos of other shows she worked on that year. She reflected on her pregnancy in the second one and how it changed her life, what she learned about herself, plus what advice she would give to new moms. She ended the post with “All the worry that comes over a parent with a newborn and every little issue that arises is a whole new level.
