After a Spoon Island adventure that featured a shootout, a helicopter, and John Oliver, General Hospital had a relatively docile summer as other stories wrapped up, plot milestones occurred, and newer arcs were set up. Now, it's time for Fall 2026 and Port Charles has quite an end of year on tap.

"Secrets are going to be exposed that will upend lives for better and worse — and new secrets will need to be kept," Head Writers Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte told TV Insider. "Relationships of all kinds will be jumbled as families grow in surprising ways; friends and enemies will reverse roles; and some current romances may give way to new romances."

Couples in Trouble

It looks like the end of JaBritt may be on tap as Jason (Steve Burton) learns just one more thing Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) did while she was under Cullum's (Andrew Hawkes) control. Is it about knowing Anna (Finola Hughes) was beneath Wyndemere but keeping it quiet?

After Anna's ordeal on Mt. Emerson comes to an end, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) will be there to support Anna, which won't sit well with Carly (Laura Wright). She will likely put on a good front, but Carly also has that flash drive in her kitchen drawer she can always take a look at.

Now that Brook Lynn's (Amanda Setton) non-crime is out in the open, the fallout for Brook Lynn and Chase (Josh Swickard) may be enormous.

"Brook Lynn and Chase face a turning point," the writers said. "Her secret may finally unravel their marriage; worse, it may leave the family vulnerable when someone comes calling with a claim on Phoebe."

Willow's Wacky World

Look for Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Michael (Rory Gibson) to team up to bring down Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), which could ensnare Chase and Brook Lynn. But things become even more complicated for the people surrounding Willow, namely Nina (Cynthia Watros), Drew (Cameron Mathison), and Ava (Maura West).

Nina is going to become the prime suspect in Jack's (Chris McKenna) murder, as expected, but will his prophecy that Willow would throw her under the bus come true? And then there is Drew and his dumb idea to break into Jack's Metro Court room by having Ava drug him. Now, Jack is dead and Ava and Drew need to cover.

"Before [Drew] can turn his full attention to Sonny, Drew and Ava must pivot to damage control," the writers relayed. "Their unholy alliance will have repercussions across the canvas for years to come."

The Teen Scene

GH's teen scene is intriguing indeed as it involves the offspring of some pretty big players. Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) know that Jack is dead, which can lead to all sorts of trouble, as can Charlotte's attempt to stick it to Drew.

"Charlotte will draw on her Cassadine side to help Danny and Scout turn the tables on Drew," Korte and Van Etten said. "But her tactics will create more problems than solve, leading to a huge rupture in her family and a difficult lesson learned, as well as inflaming tensions between Danny and Rocco."

At least Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is done playing nice with Drew and plans to offer Scout whatever solace she can from life with her domineering and deranged father.

Trina's Stalker

We also finally deal with Trina's (Tabyana Ali) stalker, a story that will finally kick into high gear when Trina realizes that there is someone after her. It looks like Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) won't fare well in this story as the writers reveal, "Kai is true blue and will step up to defend her — but his closeness to Trina may prove detrimental to his health."

Emma (Braedyn Bruner) also gets involved as she takes it upon herself to find the stalker and may find herself in trouble instead.

Around Port Charles

Look for Joe (Jonathan Bennett) and Lucas (Van Hansis) to grow closer, while Ric (Rick Hearst) continues to chafe over Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth's (Rebecca Herbst) relationship. An old romance may sneak up on Alexis. Plus, Curtis (Donnell Turner) gets a new lawyer, Lulu (Alexa Havins) breaks a huge story, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) sets her sights on Sonny (again), and Serena (Kelly Kruger) gains a new enemy.
