General Hospital actor Paige Herschell is celebrating her first anniversary as Jacinda Bracken, the call girl turned Crimson assistant.

Paige Herschell has won over a lot of General Hospital fans

Herschell noted the occasion on her Instagram account, sharing a selfie of her in the GH studio and screenshots of several scenes of her and her castmates on the show. She also shared a clip of her first episode, when Jacinda met Nina Reeves while in the company of councilman Ezra Boyle.

“Holy smokes! It’s been one year since Jacinda was introduced on @generalhospitalabc," the actress captioned her post. "I’m so grateful to this show for the work! Thank you to the amazing fans and the awesome cast and crew! One year! Holy moly! Jacinda, you continue to surprise me.”

It started out in Port Charles town

Rory Gibson, who plays Jacinda’s boyfriend Michael, responded with heart and peace emojis. Several fans weighed in with their love for Herschell’s character.

The Instagram user samuelraphaelhosea said, “What! How did a whole year pass by already??? I am a huge Jacinda fan. I’m looking forward to more background on her. Meaning, of course, hoping you’ll stick around to portray her a while longer.”

The fan juicybitsjewelry added, “I soooooo love your character and your style of playing her…I hope they keep you around for a long time! You and Michael are my favorite GH couple.” Mprincess1187 noted, “Jacinda was such a pleasant surprise, by far the best pairing for Michael. You definitely have made her your own! I hope she stays long-term.”

Jacinda has a nose for trouble

Jacinda came onto the scene in April, 2025 and, before long, was doing body shots with then-Congressman Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). She was paid to do that by Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), with assistance from Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), to drug him with ketamine and get him in an embarrassing position on social media and the news.

That worked, and Nina paid her to move to Australia. Later, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) tried to speak to her about the situation and protect Portia from facing consequences.

Last fall, Jacinda came back to Port Charles and confidently asked Nina and Portia for more money. She later met Michael at the Port Charles Grill and had a good chat with him, with neither one knowing that Drew would be shot that night.

Michael paid her to be his alibi for the shooting, and they pretended to be dating. That was turned into a real romance, with both characters standing up for each other and sharing more and more with each other.

As the Instagram user jutzeee noted on Herschell’s post, “Loving how her character is being built day by day to be a strong woman too. You can really feel the slow positioning of her and Michael as a true power couple.”

Jacinda is a big part of Michael's world

Jacinda has become close friends with Michael’s sister, Kristina (Kate Mansi), after Kristina tried to pay her to leave town before Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial. And it seems that Kristina is falling for her. Jacinda performed at the grand reopening of Charlie’s Pub, which was a nod to Herschell’s real-life singing skills. She is the lead singer of a jazz band called San Lyon. We didn’t get to see the performance onscreen, but Kristina just asked Jacinda to perform again at Charlie’s, so maybe we’ll see that one.

On Michael’s urging, Jacinda decided to give up sex work and get a more legitimate job as Nina’s assistant at Crimson, gradually growing in her knowledge of the fashion world. That has put her in the path of Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), who wants her to get information from Crimson intern Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) on her father, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).

Jacinda and Willow are fierce rivals

Jacinda is also a target for Willow, who doesn’t want Michael’s girlfriend spending time with her children because of her sex worker past, angrily confronting her in the Crimson office. Jacinda stood up for herself and questioned Willow’s sanity. That could put her in danger from the new and corrupt congresswoman, who Jacinda knows shot Drew, but doesn't know she threatened Brennan this week.

Several fans commented on Herschell’s post, hoping Jacinda wins this war with Willow. One of them, gigisue817 said, “I love you and Michael together, [it] makes me happy! Congratulations, you are a wonderful member of the cast! Now go punch out Willow!!”

As Jacinda gets more and more embedded in Port Charles politics, Herschell continues to win GH devotees by playing her character with spunk and heart.

Soap Central wishes Paige Herschell a happy first anniversary at GH!
