Former General Hospital actor Ashton Arbab, who played Dev Cerci, continues to act since exiting Port Charles. The actor is part of a feature film that just finished production called Princess. The film stars Lucy Hale, who was one of the leads of Pretty Little Liars.

Dev is a multi-talented creator in real life

IMDb describes the film as, “A woman finally meets the man of her dreams, only to discover that true love comes with an unexpected complication: his beloved bulldog, Princess, a fiercely loyal dog with a history of sabotaging every relationship he has ever had.”

Arbab shared some pictures of the production and part of a Variety article about the film, which is described as a romantic comedy that has heightened comedic situations with grounded emotional stakes.

Arbab captioned the post, “Excited to be part of 'Princess' alongside such an INCREDIBLE cast. Grateful for this one.” Hale replied with heart emojis.

Arbab is busy making movies of his own. He is the writer, director, and star of a new feature called “Summer of ’76.” He created the film from his Arbab Entertainment brand. He released the full movie on YouTube.

Arbab makes films that are set in the past

Set 50 years ago, Princess follows three teens on a road trip to track down the lost members of a forgotten local rock band.

The film recently had a screening in Los Angeles. The GH alum shared an Instagram post that included several pictures of him at the event.

He captioned the post, “Can’t express the feeling inside me this past weekend. Absolutely grateful and blessed to have shown this film to such an amazing audience. I have been working behind the scenes on this film for what feels like an eternity, and to see it finally play on the big screen in a room full of love was the greatest feeling ever. Thank you to my cast and crew for making this all happen. Thank you to all of you for making this film possible, and thank you god for giving me big dreams. This is just the beginning with this project, can’t wait for you all to see it.

In an interview with Digital Journal, he said the movie “is really about that moment in life when everything feels possible. It’s about music, friendship, and the kind of summer that stays with you forever.”

Dev was an honorary member of Sonny's family

Arbab played Dev Cerci from 2019 to 2020. A native of Turkey, Dev helped Sonny (Maurice Benard) find Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) when Dante was there on assignment, and saved Sonny’s life. Dev later came to Port Charles. Sonny took him under his wing and gave him a fake identity as his cousin, Dev Corbin, and he pretended to be the son of Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) in an effort to keep him from being sent back to Turkey.

Dev became friends with fellow teens Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Cameron (William Lipton), and Trina (then played by Sidney Mikayla). He died from injuries in an explosion at The Floating Rib when it was destroyed by a bomb planted by Julian Jerome (William deVry) on orders from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). The blast put Lulu Spencer (then played by Emme Rylan; now, Alexa Havins) in a coma for four years. Dev found the bomb and helped save others from being caught in the explosion.

While Dev has gone to that great soap in the sky, Arbab can still be seen in film projects!
