General Hospital stars Kirsten Storms (Maxie) and her ex-husband, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny), made headlines in April when word got out that Barash had filed a restraining order against his ex. Now, Storms is sharing her story, along with an update as to whether or not we'll see her back in Port Charles. General Hospital, Storms update View this post on Instagram Instagram PostIn her Instagram post, which can be read in its entirety above, Storms addresses her personal situation related to what she calls "a situation involving something my ex-husband is currently trying to claim." The actress also wrote about why she hasn't been on social media that much recently. "I haven't been online much because of how the circumstances have been twisted into something that [they] shouldn't be," she posted. "This has been a very serious thing for me to go through." Storms gave a shoutout for the encouraging direct messages and good vibes that she's received. "I have no doubt this will be handled in the correct way and I will feel comfortable remaining in Tennessee," the actress continued. Towards the end of her post, Storms shared her feelings about returning to Los Angeles, where GH tapes. "As for what is my future, where GH is concerned..." she writes. "Given what's been going on, I can't say I will feel comfortable heading back to Los Angeles and returning to work. This has been an eye-opening experience about the downside of my profession."My daughter [Harper] is my entire life, she is (and always will be) my first priority," Storms concluded, adding a few heart emojis to her post. Maxie's storyKirsten Storms plays Maxie on General Hospital | Image: ABCStorms' life as Maxie has also been fraught with change. The character fell into a coma last year. She suffered a heart attack after being exposed to some poisonous cosmetic cream.Maxie was sent to a hospital in Boston to recuperate. While being visited by loved ones in February, she suddenly came out of her coma. Maxie had a lot to get used to when she came around. For starters, her late husband, Nathan, played by Ryan Paevey, was back from the dead! While doing the Lazarus bit isn't uncommon on soaps, Nathan's return was a bit puzzling as he'd died on-camera and had an open-casket memorial service. In time, Maxie informed Nathan that her heart belonged to Spinelli (Bradford Anderson); conversely, Nathan had fallen for Lulu (Alexa Havins), Maxie's best friend. As viewers have since learned, "Nathan" is, in reality, Cassius Faison, Nathan's twin. Storms was last seen on-screen as Maxie in mid-March, about a month after the character returned to the canvas. Maxie and Lulu had a series of confrontational scenes in which the former informed the latter how hurtful it was that her husband and her best friend had fallen for each other. No word yet on how GH will explain the character's extended absence if that's what ends up happening.
