General Hospital's Serena Baldwin is coming home, but she'll have a brand-new face as CBS soap opera slum Kelly Kruger takes over the role of Scotty Baldwin's daughter.
General Hospital's Serena returns

Kruger, who made a name for herself playing Mackenzie Browning on The Young and the Restless on and off since 2002. Her last Y&R appearance was in 2019. Kruger, who was married to The Bold and the Beautiful's Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer) for 10 years, also made brief appearances as Forrester Creations publicist Eva on the same soap.
Kruger's other TV credits include A Very Corgi Christmas, Blue Mountain State, Entourage, Girls Night Out, and The Bold State.
"I am so excited to be joining the show!" Kruger told TV Insider. "It’s a literal dream come true to finally get to work with Frank Valentini and Mark Teschner after all these years! Daytime has a very special place in my heart, and I have always wanted to work with the actors and writers on this show. I truly believe the level of talent and work they put out is the absolute best."
Who is Serena Baldwin?

Serena was last seen in Port Charles in 2017, when she was once again played by Carly Schroeder, the young actress who played the character as a child. Serena is the biological daughter of Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson). When Dominique learned she was dying from a brain tumor, she and Scott wanted a child together, so Lucy (Lynn Herring) carried Serena for them, and became her de facto mother while growing up.
Serena reunited with Lucy and Scott nearly a decade ago when she returned to the canvas to pay tribute to her late grandfather, Lee Baldwin.
The last time Serena was mentioned was in 2022 when Cody (Josh Kelly) arrived in Port Charles thinking Scott was his father. He had recently learned that Dominique was his mother, but he turned out to be a result of her affair with Mac Scorpio (John J. York). That means when Serena returns, she will meet the half-brother she never knew existed.
Kruger begins taping at GH on Monday, June 8th, but will not air until some time in July. Soap Central will keep you informed as more info becomes available.
