Bluesy Burke: General Hospital Confirms Bluesy Burke's Fate: Is This Really the End For Charlotte?

General Hospital is losing one of its favorite teens, but maybe not entirely. Bluesy Burke is taking Charlotte off the canvas in light of recent hijinks she's gotten into with Danny. However, the show is saying we haven't seen the last of the uniquely named star.

Singing the Bluesy Blues

Frank Valentini, GH's executive producer, told Soap Opera Digest that Burke's exit isn't permanent despite Charlotte leaving the canvas in today's episode.

"Bluesy is still a part of the General Hospital family, and we worked it out so that she will come back on her holidays and school breaks. We are incredibly proud of her as she begins this exciting new chapter and starts her college journey," Valentini said.

Recently, Burke posted a first anniversary on GH Instagram post, which some were interpreting as a farewell, or farewell for now, post. 1 year on "@generalhospitalabc !! i truly cant believe it. time really flies!! i am so grateful i get to be apart of this amazing family.

"i feel as though ive grown so much over this past year and ive met some of my best friends. thank you so much @fvalentinigh and @markteschner for taking a chance on me. it’s the best gift i’ve ever received."

Now, Charlotte is off to boarding school in Maine. Her father, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), was none too happy that Charlotte thought she could set Drew (Cameron Mathison) up by hiding in his car, hoping that she could blackmail him by lying that he had come on to her.

Valentin did not want his daughter putting herself in danger, so it was off to Maine! Burke was the third actress to take on the part of Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Valentin's daughter.

Bonjour, Paris, Au Revoir, Port Charles

In addition to going off to college, Burke recently visited Paris. Asked by co-star Kayden Brenna Tokarskikayden (Scout) if she was enjoying Paris, Burke replied, "Oui." (Yes.)

It's not uncommon for actors of all ages to come and go from Port Charles. William Lipton brought Cameron back for Spencer's (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) funeral after his presumed death in Paris.

Charlotte has a complicated lineage, as many soap opera characters do! She was conceived via IVF and carried by a surrogate, Claudette Beaulieu (Bree Williamson; ex- Jessica, One Life to Live). For about the first eight years of her life, Charlotte was under the impression that Claudette was her mom.
