General Hospital’s Josh Swickard welcomes baby number 3 with wife Lauren

On General Hospital, Harrison Chase is trying to become a dad as he and Brook Lynn hope to adopt little Phoebe. In real-life, Chase's portrayer, Josh Swickard, and his wife, Lauren, have become parents for the third time!

"We would like to introduce y’all to sweet baby Noah!!!" shared the Swickards in a joint Instagram post along with photos of their new little bundle of joy, which can be seen above.

"We are still processing his unique and beautiful story of how he came into the world, and plan to share more soon," the post continued. "For now, I’m proud to share that Lauren pushed a 9lb 14 oz baby out naturally with no interventions at all. I have no words for the level of love and admiration I have for her. The Lord has big plans for our little Noah, we can't wait to watch him grow into the young man he’s destined to be!"

Well-wishes from daytime pals are showing up in the post's comments section. Rory Gibson (Michael), Katelyn MacMullen (Willow), Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jax), and Carson Boatman (Johnny, Days of our Lives) have all posted congratulatory messages.

Noah joins big sister, Savannah Kaye, born in April 2021, and big brother, Arthur, born in February 2023.

The Parent Trap

On-screen, Swickard's character may have more trouble becoming a dad. Viewers saw in last Friday's episode that Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) knows Delilah (Lily Cardone), the late mother of Phoebe. Is Ethan the father of Phoebe? If so, wouldn't he want to step up and raise his daughter?

Custody dramas between adoptive parents and biological parents or biological relatives of a child are nothing new to GH. The characters of Sean (John Reilly) and Tiffany (Sharon Wyatt) battled Tony (Brad Maule) and Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) for custody of little Lucas (then, twins Kenny and Chuckie Gravino). A judge ruled that Tony and Bobbie would raise Lucas (now, Van Hansis).

Does Ethan know that he's the father of Phoebe -- if, in fact, he truly is? This is a secret that could take quite a while to play out on GH.

Lauren Swickard may look familiar to GH viewers as she played Nurse Janice Jo in 2023. Janice worked at Ferncliff and was on the show when Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) held Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) against her will.
