General Hospital's Kirsten Storms Returns to Her Maxie Roots With a New Look and Big News

General Hospital's Kirsten Storms is looking like her old self again and couldn't wait to show off her new-old look, while also revealing some news that has fans wondering if Maxie might return from Australia sooner rather than later.

It was only last month that Storms took to Instagram to show off her new red hair, but the actress has apparently decided she is better off blonde. In her new Instagram story, Storms shared a snap of her new look with the words, "Back in Cali. Back to blonde."

That pic immediately had fans wondering if Storms had moved back to California or if she was just visiting. The actress had moved to Tennessee last summer, requesting to take a break from the GH set for nearly six months. She returned to California for work only this winter and appeared in a handful of episodes.

In May, news broke that Storms' ex-husband, Brandon Barash, had requested a restraining order to keep the actrss from seeing their young daughter, Harper. Storms recently addressed the order, asking her fans to please respect her privacy for the sake of her daughter, who is an adolescent who can see the things written about her parents online.

Storms had also battled serious health issues, including multiple brain surgeries over the last few years. While there is no confirmation that her trip back to California means she will be returning to GH, fans certainly hope that she will.

What About Maxie?

When Storms first took her GH break last year, Maxie lapsed into a coma and was sent out of town to recover. She woke in February, only to learn that her presumed dead husband, Nathan (Ryan Paevey), was actually alive. She then had to deal with her BFF, Lulu (Alexa Havins), announcing she had fallen for Nathan. Maxie was not on-screen when fans learned that Nathan wasn't Nathan at all, but his twin brother, Cassius.

Now, Cassius is presumed dead and Maxie just moved to Australia with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and all three of her kids. If Storms is back in California to film more GH scenes, that means Maxie's move will be a brief one.

However, Storms could just be visiting the state she had called home since she was 11 years old. In June, she said she wasn't comfortable returning to work. When she shared her red hair snap, Storms also spoke of how she had been a child star and how much she had wanted to live a non-Hollywood life.
