General Hospital's Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey celebrate real-life love match

On General Hospital, Carly Spencer and Peter August were often on opposite sides of conflicts between their families. Offscreen, their portrayers, Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey, have been a love match in real life for years! Now, the couple is celebrating their ninth anniversary together!

Ramsey posted a picture of Wright and himself, taken from a trip they made together to Paris in February. “A love story that keeps writing itself...♥️ we have 9 yrs of growing up together and still laughing like kids," the actor wrote in a caption, "9 yrs of evolving towards our best selves, encouraging each other along the way. 9 yrs of commitment to keep seeing what tomorrow brings. I love you, Laura. Thank you for each new chapter. Happy NINE!!! 💃💥🕺🏼#ouranniversary❤️”

Wright also made an Instagram post, captioning it, “How it started ➡️ how it’s going. 9 ❤️” She showed pictures of them together, including one from New Orleans and another from the same trip to Paris.

On both posts, many fans and GH costars wished them a happy anniversary.

A real-life love match

Wright and Ramsey knew each other when they were both on Guiding Light together in 2001. She was Cassie Layne; he was Sam Spencer.

The pair started romancing in 2017. Ramsey made his GH debut later that same year. They often share content on social media from their adventures together, including simple things like going to a movie theater. Ramsey and Wright had a romantic trip to Paris, seeing several of the sights and landmarks together.

Ramsey played Peter from 2017 to 2022, making a brief return earlier this year when Peter’s ghost tormented Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) at Wyndemere. He then went straight from Port Charles to Salem to play a return stint as Owen Kent on Days of Our Lives. Owen kidnapped Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), as he had done in 2009.
