On General Hospital, Nathan had barely found solid ground again when everything shifted under him. Maxie waking from her coma should have simplified things, but it complicated them when he and Lulu (Alexa Havins) realized they had feelings for each other. However, one thing is simple for Ryan Paevey, who offered fans an important social media warning.General Hospital’s Ryan Paevey has a message for fans View this post on Instagram Instagram PostPaevey wrote on Instagram, “PSA about impostors….I know I’m not the only one. Please take this to heart.” In the video attached to the post, Paevey said he was done repeating himself every few weeks and wanted one message fans could find and trust. He reiterated that he had spoken about it before, but explained, “This time I'm gonna pin it there in the hopes that people see it and listen. Hopefully. So I'm just gonna cover some of the bullet points from messages, emails, things like that that I get literally every day.”He apologized for the brusque nature of his message, but pressed on anyway, explaining, “I only have one account, one Instagram account, this account. I'm not flying you to me, and I'm not flying me to you. There isn't a super-secret Ryan Pavey VIP fan club that costs thousands of dollars to join, where you get a card. That's not a thing.” He hilariously added, “I'm just not that cool.”Paevey further clarified that he wasn’t buying anything for fans, nor was he soliciting money for obscure illnesses in his family, assuring everyone that he was financially sound. “I take care of myself and my family, and that's that,” he stated. I go to work, I do my thing, and then I clock out,” he said. “I don’t communicate privately, okay? It’s just not a thing that I do.” He warned that scammers had gotten more sophisticated, especially with AI. “AI can clone video. AI can clone audio. Some of it is pretty convincing.” His advice stayed simple: “Think critically. Be careful, and please do not give strangers on the internet money.”The comments filled quickly, and most of them carried relief more than surprise. This was nothing new, as fans had encountered scams before. But hearing it directly from Paevey helped drive the point home. Some followers admitted that the scams had come close to working on them. Others thanked him for stepping in before anyone got hurt.@cindylouwho57 wrote, “Thank you for protecting your fans. It means more than you know.” @nancyannholmes posted, “I got one of those messages and knew it wasn’t you. Appreciate you saying something.” And @donnamariereed added, “It’s sad people do this, but thank you for being honest and looking out for us.” (Check out GH alum Eva LaRue’s (ex-Natalia) warning for fans.)General Hospital is available on ABC and Hulu.
