General Hospital Spoilers August 20: Ric Plots and Plans as Elizabeth and Dante Grow Closer

General Hospital finds Ric spiraling on Thursday when he catches an eyeful. The latest spoilers for August 20, 2026, preview Elizabeth furious, Josslyn with a warning, and a combative Lulu.

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is not happy at all when Ric (Rick Hearst) comes bursting into her living room, demanding to know what the heck is going on. Why is Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) on Liz's couch in his underwear? Elizabeth tells Ric that Dante is her guest and he's not going anywhere. She also doesn't like Ric giving her orders.

Ric knows that he screwed up, but he also knows he has competition. Should he mention to Sonny that the person he is jealous of is his son? He likely won't do that, but Ric spirals and knows he has to do something to keep Dante and Elizabeth apart. That means he is about to do something stupid and screw up some more.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth later finds herself opening up to Dante about Ric. Is she unsure of her feelings for him?

Carly's Guest

Carly (Laura Wright) has to do some calming when Lulu (Alexa Havins) drops by her kitchen to have it out with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Yes, she is going to allow Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) to live with him now that he's rented a house, but she doesn't like it and has some ground rules.

Carly tries to reason with Lulu and convince her this is the best decision possible for all involved. Lulu doen't buy it. She is doing this for Charlotte, but she is extremely uneasy about and fears something could go wrong. Spoilers also say that Carly has a realization? Is it about Valentin?

Josslyn's Warning

Josslyn (Eden McCoy) has a busy day when Anna (Finola Hughes) introduces her to Tristan (Dean Geyer). Does Anna know the former WSB doctor from her WSB days?

Later, Josslyn and Jason (Steve Burton) catch up outside the Q boathouse, where she learns all about her godfather's plans to go legit and not work for Sonny (Maurice Benard) anymore. This is good news to Josslyn, but she apparently doesn't like the news about Jason resuming his relationship with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud). Josslyn warns Jason that Britt will turn on him, but he doesn't seem to believe her.
