General Hospital ends the week with Pentonville on the mind. Spoilers for Friday, August 21, 2026, show Curtis getting ready for jail, Sonny paying a surprise visit, and Ava and Drew conspiring some more.
Surprise, Sidwell

Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is not very surprised to see that Sonny (Maurice Benard) has gotten around to visiting him. He knew he'd see him at some point and assumes he wants to talk territory and piers. Sidwell is not about to give anything up without a fight and even expects some trouble coming his way.
Sidwell is surprised when Sonny tells him that he has a new way of doing business and has decided to go legit. Yes, he wants his piers back, but he is going to get them the legal way. What does Sonny hope to gain from this visit? Is he just trying to make sure that Sidwell doesn't have someone on the outside who is going to come after him?
The Moment of Truth

Curtis (Donnell Turner) jumped to conclusions, Curtis gave orders, and Curtis threw the punch when nobody else did. So, that means that Curtis is going to jail and he now has to say goodbye to Jordan (Tanisha Harper). Spoilers say that Jordan receives a vote of confidence. Does Curtis give her that before he leaves for Pentonville?
As for Trina (Tabyana Ali), she doesn't understand why this is not on her mother's mind more. Portia (Brook Kerr) tells Trina that the best thing she can do for Curtis is not be there for this send-off since there is tension and this is not a happy occasion.
Plots and Plans

Ava (Maura West) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) get together at the Metro Court Gardens again, where they seem to hang out a lot lately. Drew is sure that together, they can take down Sonny, but are they so sure?
Later, when Drew offers an olive branch, is it to Portia? He already offered one to Curtis and he accepted. Teasers say that Ava has to reassure Portia. Does she promise her friend that she is not getting in over her head with Drew?
Are you glad to see Sidwell again? Do Ava and Drew's plans make sense? Why are they after Sonny? Sound off in the comments.
