General Hospital Spoilers August 3: Jason Quits His Job, Anna Chews Out Valentin

General Hospital heads into August with a big show on the agenda. According to spoilers for Monday, August 3, 2026, Jason explains why it's time to retire and Anna explains why Valentin should not be with Carly.

Career Change

Welp, it's the end of the era in Port Charles. After 30 years, Jason (Steve Burton) is hanging up his hitman hat and leaving the mob. Lulu (Alexa Havins) said nobody just ups and quits on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and she was wrong. Jason quit and that might be the most seismic thing that has ever happened in Sonny's life.

Sonny tries to reason with Jason, but it's Jason who has to reason with him. He's been doing this now for three decades, he's not a young man anymore, he is tired of killing people, and he is tired of being in danger. After the last few months in a torture prison, Jason is just tired.

And Jason also has a teenage son whom he wants to be there for. Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) already lost his mother and he nearly lost his father. Jason is tired of living his life fearing either death or jail, especially when he has a son to take care of. Can Sonny understand?

Anna Has Questions

The last thing Anna (Finola Hughes) expected when she sought out Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) at the Metro Court Gardens was to see him at a table making out with Carly (Laura Wright). Anna knew that Valentin had been living in Carly's attic for 7 months and 16 days, but he had no idea how close they really were.

Like Sonny, Anna is sure this is the wrong move and tries to talk some sense into Valentin. He just got his freedom back and getting involved with Carly can only cause trouble. Like Sonny, Anna might have to just live with this.

Dante's Confession

Ric (Rick Hearst) is not happy to see how close Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) are getting, but he is keeping quiet for now and just observing.

When Dante and Liz spend some more alone time at the baseball field, Dante tells Elizabeth that he compromised himself for Rocco's (Finn Carr) sake. Elizabeth is going to be one of the only people who knows that Dante got rid of the evidence from Cullum's shooting.
