General Hospital Spoilers August 5: Curtis' Trial Begins With a Warning for Brook Lynn

General Hospital is ready for court at Curtis' trial is set to begin and Brook Lynn has a big decision to make. According to spoilers for Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Tracy needs Brook Lynn to stay calm, Lucy schemes, and Sonny wants answers.

Although Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) did not commit a crime when she supposedly drove away from Jordan's (Tanisha Harper) accident after Jordan nearly killed her because she had to kiss Curtis (Donnell Turner), Brook Lynn still feels guilty. With Curtis' trial for hitting Isaiah beginning, Brook Lynn thinks she can clear the whole thing up by clearing Isaiah's name.

When the guilt gets to be too much, Tracy (Jane Elliot) warns Brook Lynn that she needs to stay calm and focused. Maybe she needs to just get out of town and away from it all, despite just adopting an infant that morning. Brook Lynn balks at the idea, but she will soon be faced with making a huge decision.

Ava vs. Sonny

Whenever Ava (Maura West) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) get together, it's always entertaining. The last time they shared scenes, Ethan (Christian Howard) took a bullet for Ava while Sonny tried to talk Jenz (Carlo Rota) down. Now, Ethan is missing and Sonny has no idea he is even gone.

Is that why Ava visits Sonny and tells him that something is all his fault? Does she think his business had something to do with Ethan's disapperance or is this about something else? After all, Sonny and Ava do share a child together.

Deception Deceit

Lucy (Lynn Herring) seems to have taught her daughter to scheme just like she does, which likely does Lucy proud. She needs Serena (Kelly Kruger) to be a distraction for Michael, as if he is not distracted enough. Between Drew's (Cameron Mathison) recovery, Willow's (Katelyn MacMullen) custody threats, and learning that his sister is a WSB agent, Michael has a lot on his mind.

When they sit down for a bite at Bobbie's, Lucy tells Serena that they just hit the jackpot. Does Lucy have a moment of inspiration that helps her come up with another sneaky idea?
