General Hospital spoilers for Monday, February 23, 2026, tease a big moment Maxie never expected, as she never thought she'd lay eyes on a living and breathing Nathan again.

The last thing Maxie (Kirsten Storms) expected anyone to tell her was that her husband, Nathan (Ryan Paevey), was alive. Maxie watched him die and buried his body. How can he be alive as if nothing happened eight years ago? When she takes a walk and stops by his grave, she doesn't expect to see him there, but there he is, in the flesh.

The moment is certainly awkward as neither Maxie nor Nathan knows what to say to one another, but a lot has changed in nearly a decade. Nathan doesn't remember any of it, but Maxie has a whole new life with Spinelli and two more kids than she had when Nathan died.

When Nathan asks Maxie where they stand, she doesn't quite know what to tell him. She loves Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), but is it the kind of love she felt for Nathan? Does she still feel that love? Spinelli sure hopes so, as he tells Lulu (Alexa Havins) he is not sure he is ready for a fight.

Michael loses his cool

After learning that Chase (Josh Swickard) had been fiddling around with his keys, Michael (Rory Gibson) is infuriated. He heads home and finds Chase in the kitchen, where he promptly decks him right in front of a very confused Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton).

Back at the PCPD, Justine (Nazneen Contractor) weighs her options. She is not quite sure that Chase is the man that they are looking for and tells Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that they have to tread carefully.

Wiley is not happy

Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) thinks she has everything she wants for the moment, but Wiley (Viron Weaver) has a surprise for her. He doesn't like being in that house with Uncle Drew (Cameron Mathison). Willow has to weigh her options. Does she continue to keep Drew in that bedroom or move him to a long-term care facility where he has to still get his "meds"?

Meanwhile, Ric (Rick Hearst) has news for Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in the Drew shooting case. Since Alexis already knows that Willow did it, she is curious about what Ric has to say.
