General Hospital Spoilers, May 6: Will Laura spell the end of Ric and Elizabeth?

Things are getting complicated on General Hospital. According to spoilers for Wednesday, May 6, 2026, Laura meets with Ric in her office, Elizabeth meets with Dante at the hospital, and Sonny faces a dilemma, which involves Ric.

After Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) visited to gush about Ric (Rick Hearst) and her excitement about going away with him, Laura (Genie Francis) is concerned about her former daughter-in-law. She doesn't like Liz becoming involved with Ric again, especially knowing what Ric is involved with.

Liz knows there is always a chance of danger dating someone who works for Sonny, but Laura knows just what that danger currently is. She fears Elizabeth getting involved with the Sidwell (Carlo Rota) mess and wants to nip that in the bud.

To that end, Laura calls Ric to her office and appears to ask him to break things off with Elizabeth just until the Sidwell threat has passed. Ric is reluctant to do that because he knows that he's lucky enough to have this chance and he may never get another one.

Meanwhile, Sonny (Maurice Benard) now thinks that Ric has betrayed him, which will be just one more nail in Ric's coffin. Everything has been going too well for him, so the other shoe has to drop soon, right?

Dante has questions

Elizabeth is pleased when Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) pays her a visit at the hospital to ask about the night that Rocco (Finn Carr) cut his hand, which also happens to be the night Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) was shot. Will anything about treating Rocco ring a bell with Liz?

In an exam room, Cassius (Ryan Paevey) tries to get Isaiah (Sawndi Wilson) to talk to him about treating Rocco's hand and staph infection. Cassius is a nervous wreck that it's all falling apart for him, so he needs everyone to just keep their mouths shut. Will Isaiah notice anything strange about the man calling himself Nathan West?
