One would think the happy news that Maxie (Kirsten Storms) is awake and making a complete recovery would have everyone overjoyed, but that is the opposite of what is happening. Instead, the people who love her worry about what happens next.

Poor Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) tells Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) that he fears he is going to lose Maxie and their family to Nathan (Ryan Paevey). Lulu (Alexa Havins) opens up to Laura (Genie Francis) and admits she fears losing Nathan to Maxie. And Nathan? He doesn't know how to think or feel. He tells Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that he has no idea what's going to happen when he and Maxie are finally face-to-face.

Congressional ties

Two lovely ladies want Drew Cain's (Cameron Mathison) congressional seat, and each one of them has attempted to kill before or has killed before. But that's just another day in the swamp, right?

When Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) tells Nina (Cynthia Watros) about Sidwell's (Carlo Rota) proposal, Nina is ready to become her daughter's campaign manager. Just look at what she did for Drew. She got him a seat in the House of Representatives, so she can do it for Willow, too.

Molly (Kristen Vaganos) is also thrilled when Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) tells her that Laura is going to recommend her to the governor. Molly knows her mom is the perfect person to fight for the underdog in Washington DC. The underdog needs more help than ever in recent years, so bring on Alexis.

Kristina to the rescue

While Molly gushes over the idea of her mom going to Washington, Kristina (Kate Mansi) tries to solve Molly's love life problems by having a long talk with Cody (Josh Kelly). She tells him that Molly is furious with her and doesn't want to even have the book published.

Kristina urges Cody to read the rest of the book. Between Tracy's (Jane Elliot) good advice and Kristina's good advice, will Cody listen? If he does, he'd better find a way to make it up to Molly with a nice belated Valentine's night out.
