Amalia Williamson stars as the close friend of Shields’s character. Rota is prominently featured in the trailer, which you can see here.The show stars iconic actress Brooke Shields (The Blue Lagoon, When Calls the Heart, Mr. Pickles) and Tom Cavanaugh (Ed, The Flash). Rota shared some behind-the-scenes clips with Shields several months ago.Also, Rota will be in a comedy film called Busboys, which will debut in theaters on April 17, which is also the actor's birthday. The movie stars David Spade (Saturday Night Live) and Theo Von. It is written and directed by Matt Campagna.The film is billed as an apocalyptic western, and the trailer shows some futuristic elements in addition to old west gunplay and trunks full of gold bars. It is described as “A vicious group of strangers gathers to divvy up the spoils of a train robbery, while an ace detective pursues hot on their trail. As the bandits realize they may not be strangers after all, the detective unearths a deadly conspiracy at the heart of their crime.”Rota is married in real life to Nazneen Contractor, who plays Justine Turner on GH. They often share snippets of their coupledom and family life on their Instagram accounts.Rota has been on General Hospital since August, 2024. He continues to stay busy as Sidwell, whose days may be numbered if Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) have their way.
