General Hospital star Kate Mansi is starring in a new film that will hit theaters this spring. Emmy-nominated actor Lou Diamond Phillips (La Bamba, Stand and Deliver) headlines the movie, which is a continuation of a limited-run streaming series of the same name.The original series, which aired in 2023, followed “several families in the farmland of Northern California as it navigates universal themes of class, immigration, culture and family.”Directed by Juan Pablo Arias Muñoz, the movie is described as, “A prodigal daughter returns to her family’s ranch as her ailing father faces a ruthless bid for his property from a powerful rival, sparking a land war that could cost both families everything.”Phillips plays the antagonist who is trying to get the property. The trailer shows him being a dangerous villain, threatening multiple people with guns. Mansi, who played Hunter Clarkman in the original series, returns for the film, which also stars Madison Lawlor, Christina Moore, Javier Bolaños, Daniel Edward Mora, Loren Escandon, Bruce Davison, Shalim Ortiz, and Charley Debenedetti.Mansi is shown briefly in the trailer, which you can see below, knocking a masked man in the head with a shotgun. Swickard also appears to be shown briefly next to Phillips.Swickard is the wife of General Hospital star Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase) and recurred on the show herself in 2023 as Janice, a nurse at Ferncliff who took care of Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).
