General Hospital fans are comforted by the fact that Dr. Hamilton Finn and his daughter Violet, played by Michael Easton and Jophielle Love, are reunited off-screen in Seattle. Now, there's been a real-life reunion between the two, and the theme that brought them together is something very familiar to Easton from his days on Port Charles, which dabbled in the occult for some of its stories. General Hospital meets Dracula View this post on Instagram Instagram Post"The vampires were out in Hollywood last night at the premiere of Luc Besson’s Dracula," Easton posted on Instagram, "and I got to walk the red carpet with the coolest of them all, the amazing @jophiellelove. The movie is visually stunning and features powerful performances by @caleblandryjones Jones, @christophwaltz_ , @____zoe_bleu_arquette____ and our incredibly talented friend @raphael_luce. "The night was extra special for me as I got to take my beautiful daughter Lilah Bell (her favorite movie is Interview With a Vampire, so I’m in her good graces for the time being)," Easton added. He returned to soaps by joining the cast of Port Charles, the GH spinoff that ran from 1997 to 2003. In 2001, Port Charles tried a new format in which its storylines would have 13-week arcs, which were referred to as "books." Easton played a seductive vampire named Caleb Morley in Port Charles's "Tainted Love." Easton's co-star in "Tainted Love" was Kelly Monaco, who played Livvie Locke. After PC ended, Monaco was cast quickly on General Hospital as Sam McCall. Meanwhile, Easton traveled 3000 miles to the East Coast to take on the role of John McBain on One Life to Live. Following OLTL's cancellation in 2012, Easton moved back to the West Coast, joining GH as John McBain. He went on to play a few other characters in Port Charles, including Finn. He left the show in 2024 to go to rehab following the death of his father, Gregory Chase, played by Gregory Harrison. (Harrison was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2025 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.) Later, Violet went to join her father in Seattle following his release from rehab. Catch all-new episodes of General Hospital weekdays on ABC and Hulu.
