General Hospital stars are rallying behind a colleague in the hair and makeup department who recently was diagnosed with cancer.Feanna Smith, one of the hairstylists on the show, was diagnosed with Stage 4 pulmonary cancer a few months ago. Several GH actors shared her story as well as a GoFundMe account to help with her finances. According to the page, doctors have informed her "that the disease was terminal. That included the prestigious Elgin Charles Salon, led by the first black hairstylist in Beverly Hills.She worked several more years in the entertainment industry, becoming a personal stylist for several high-profile female celebrities such as Naomi Campbell Eventually she moved into a role on General Hospital, where she and the team were nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2025. She has shared a lot of photos from the 2025 Emmys on her Instagram account.According to the fundraising page, in part, "Approximately five months ago, Feanna’s life took an unexpected turn. Feeling a bit unwell she went to the doctor. What initially presented as pneumonia developed into pleurisy, accompanied by severe pain and recurring fluid buildup in her lungs. She was hospitalized multiple times and underwent procedures to drain the fluid.“Today, Feanna approaches life with deep gratitude and perspective. Her primary focus is spending meaningful time with her daughter, who is now an adult and studying to become an airline pilot.
